Don’t use for under water Axolotl!! Will rust!!
This item can not be in the water!! So not able to use underwater with an axolotl. It has metal fastens on each side of the netting where suction cups are that will corrode and rust and change alkaline and pH levels in the water that will kill your axolotl or fish this is more for a lizard or an iguana and dry surfaces not for picture shown I was very displeased and donated to Goodwill

Lil TiTan Approves—Smart, Simple, and Effectiv
What can I say—Lil TiTan approves! The mealworm dish and hammock have both been great additions to his enclosure. The dish is perfectly designed with inward-curved walls that keep mealworms contained, which means no more escapees wriggling into the substrate. It’s easy to clean, durable, and just the right size for a bearded dragon’s feeding needs.The hammock is another win. When TiTan gets too warm, he loves climbing up and lounging like the king of his domain. It gives him a comfortable elevated spot to rest, and it adds a nice visual layer to the enclosure. The mesh material is breathable and easy to attach with suction cups, making it both functional and fun.

Edit (a week in): The metal split rings did end up rusting. I had to remove the hammock from my tank, and will be looking into modifications I can do to the item to be able to use it without harming my pet.I ordered these hammocks to put in my 40 gallon tank for my Axolotl. These hammocks are fairly large, and take up a good amount of space in my tank. The longest side of the hammock is 17 inches, and the smaller sides that go into the corner are 12 inches.The mesh portion feels like a mix of plastic and rubber. It’s not completely rigid like plastic, but does have some give and movement like rubber would. I’m assuming this may be made of PVC. It had a strong smell initially when opening the package, so I washed it thoroughly before placing it into my tank. The smell went away after I washed it. I’m fairly confident that if my Axie’s toe were to get caught in the mesh, it wouldn’t cause any harm, which is a relief.I do have concerns regarding the metal split rings that are attaching the mesh to the suction cups. Only time can tell if they will rust, but if I do notice any signs of rusting, I will be removing the hammock entirely since rust isn’t safe for aquatic life. I might just go ahead and be precautionary by changing the split rings out to a water safe material, or by modifying the mesh to make it work without split rings like the last hammock I had.The suction cups themselves are pretty thin and very malleable. I didn’t have trouble getting them to stick to my tank, but my last hammock’s issue was that the suction cups became too rigid since my tank has a chiller. They completely stopped suctioning to the glass and it became hard. Hopefully the malleability of these suction cups will keep the hammock upright! My axolotl loved his last hammock, so I’m sure this will be no different! I just hope it lasts longer.No assembly was required, the hammocks were already prepared to be put into the tank (after a wash). So “assembly” for me was easy-peasy! If all components last in my tank for a while, this is a fantastic value for everything included! These two hammocks and the feeding bowl are the same price I paid in-store for just one hammock last year.Once my axolotl gets his brain cell back and discovers the new hammock, he will be using this thing to chill out constantly. So as long as he finds it, it serves it’s proper functionality well!My only small “gripe” is that the description is a bit lacking. It would be really appreciated if the materials of all components were listed in the description because it’s crucial to know what the items you’re putting in your tank are made of! Some materials aren’t safe for water quality since they leech out stuff into the water, and other materials are sometimes too hard or sharp if you’re an axolotl owner like myself and simply won’t work for safety reasons. Being informed is always extremely valuable!

*update, if I would have fully read the information they posted, they clearly state the rings should be taken off if going underwater. Hence why there are zip ties I imagine. The seller contacted me after my review and offered a full refund. Very professional and nice. I declined as it was her error. My recommendation would be to add the instructions to the product as well.We’ve had it in the tank with our axolotl for just over a week and the rings started rusting out. Would not recommend using the rings that come with it. The hammock itself is nice quality and plenty soft.

Axolotl hammock – 10/10 according to axie
Comes with 2 hammocks and a feeding dish, my axolotl went to it within minutes once put into tank. It works as it should thus far, and the suctions seem.to stay in place. I have two worries, the smell of the hammocks, but goes away after cleaning before placing in tank, and the metal clasps that hook the hammock to the suctions. Quality is good now. But seems it could possibly rust. It is worth the money as far as im concerned. My tank is a 50 gallon and it fits from the front side, to back side. So will need to make sure tank is bigger if purchasing or it may take up more space than wanted. Pretty large.

Possibly leaching chemicals into the water
The smell of plastic was overwhelming, I washed them 3 times but they still have the smell. The zip ties are so flimsy they don’t even lock in place and the dish is also plastic which floats so even if I wanted to use it to feed my axies it would not stay at the bottom of their tank. I’m to scared to put any of these items in my axolotle tank due to possible toxicity
