Practical AND Gorgeous!
I looked at several waterproof dog blankets but wasn’t tempted by any of them. And then I came across this one!The sofa I wanted to protect is where we spend most of our leisure time, including our elderly and ailing female hound. So I was looking for something that would protect the sofa from any incontinence events and be snag resistant to her nails (✅), be soft and comfy for her (✅), but also elegant with a gorgeous color and fit into the decor of the room without bringing attention to what it actually was there for (✅)! And to boot, the price was right for the quality of the product(✅).So I bought two. This way while one is in the wash, I can put down the other one to keep the sofa protected.Needless to say, I highly recommend this product to anyone who finds themselves in my circumstances, or just wants a soft, beautiful, and washable pet (or people!) blanket to protect their bed, sofa or pet bed from accidents.Thank you to the makers, who clearly know what’s needed to care for sick or elderly pets (or adults) in the modern home! Pups LOVE This Blanket Even Though They Have Many Others!
We have 5 dogs we’ve adopted from our local shelter over the decade+. They are mostly those big Pitt Mixes that have the least chance of being adopted, but we have a 13 lbs Shih Tzu, who rules the roost, & a 100 lbs. Great Pyrenees & Yellow Lab Mix to fill in the lower & upper ends of our weight ranges of the pack! We have a LOT of dog blankets, beds, toys, etc. as a result. This blanket (I bought the Twin size so I could spread it out or fold it up to make it thicker, as desired) is very soft, plush & the most desired place to sleep of all we offer in this house! Doubled up it makes a soft, padded place to sleep or just hang out & play or chew on a treat! It also washes/dries easily (no special settings or procedures) & comes out of both looking like new! We would highly recommend this blanket, even at full price (we were lucky enough to purchase it during a Limited Deal, & of course, would recommend checking for such great pricing!)! Folded in half lengthwise, it actually accommodates all 5 of our dogs, with weights of 13 lbs, 70 lbs, 88 lbs, 93 lbs, 100 lbs, as they love to group together & snuggle for a good sleep, sometimes. Other times, you’ll find any one of them sprawled out on his/her back, enjoying having room to spare while getting much coveted “Alone Time” on the comfy blanket! We’ve had it for over a month, & despite some serious roughhousing on it, walking on it, & digging on it to get it “just right”, there haven’t been any tears or even frays of the material. Our dogs all shed, but the only one that sheds very noticeably in Spring & Fall is the Pyrenees/Lab mix (Whoa!). However, the blanket, oddly, doesn’t seem to collect hair in any noted manner. We bought the tan colored one & it is a nice, neutral color that never looks dirty on a daily, routine basis. We plan to buy another once colder weather starts (or we see another great sale price!)! Yeah, it’s That Nice!!

Quality Blanket with Drying Drawbacks
High-quality, heavy blanket that protects cushions from spills, dog accidents, etc. One minor criticism that doesn’t lower my rating, but worth knowing for context: it takes forever to dry after washing. The material holds tons of water—I gave it three cycles in the dryer and still had to hang-dry it for hours. It’s great as a nice-looking, cozy protective layer, but if you’re in a puppy phase with semi-frequent accidents, I wouldn’t choose this for something you want to throw in the laundry quickly.

This pet blanket is thick, fluffy, and surprisingly stylish. It doesn’t look like a typical dog blanket at all. Honestly, I could use it myself, but I doubt my dog would be willing to share. I haven’t tested the waterproof feature yet, but you can feel the plastic layer. Great buy to protect my bed and keep my dog happy!
