For dogs with longer snouts and limbs, it might be very easy for them to reach their wounds and limbs, so we highly recommend choosing one size up. If the dog cone slips, please ensure the daily collar is inserted into the inner loop, it could effectively prevent dogs from escaping the collar.

What if I purchase the wrong size?

That’s the least you should worry about, simply go to amazon order section and contact seller for a replacement.

The purpose and benefits of getting an inflatable recovery collar?

It’s ideal for protecting your dog during recovery, preventing them from reaching wounds, stitches, or sensitive areas, and offers benefits such as comfort, unrestricted vision and mobility, an adjustable fit, and easy-to-clean durability.

How to inflate the dog cone?

1: Find the inflation valve. 2: Pinch the bottom of the valve to inflate the collar. 3: Ensure the collar is firm but not too tight; adjust the inflation level as necessary. 4: Release your hand from the valve to prevent air leakage.

Which physical phenomenon will cause air leakage?

Please avoid inflating the collar in a warm environment and then using it outdoors in cold temperatures, as thermal expansion and contraction could potentially shrink the vale and reduce the collar’s air tightness.

What’s the protection area of an inflatable dog recovery collar?

This collar not only safeguards the head and torso, but also encourages your dog to avoid his limbs. It’s worth noting that, it may not fully prevent access of dogs with long snouts to the extremities and paws, hence we recommend ordering one size up

Choosing the Correct Size for Your Inflatable Dog Collar: A Step-by-Step Guide

Selecting the right size inflatable dog collar is crucial to ensure your pet’s comfort and protection. Follow these steps to find the perfect fit:

Measure Your Dog/Cat’s Neck: 1. Use a flexible measuring tape to measure the circumference of your dog’s neck. 2. Place the measuring tape around the base of the neck, where the collar normally sits. 3. Ensure the tape is snug but not tight; you should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the tape and your dog’s neck.Check the Sizing Chart: 1. Refer to our sizing chart to match your dog’s neck measurement with the appropriate collar size. 2. Our collars come in various sizes, such as Small, Medium, Large, and Extra-Large. Each size covers a specific neck circumference range.Consider Your Dog’s Breed and Build: For dogs with longer snouts and limbs, it might be easier for them to reach their wounds or limbs. In such cases, we highly recommend choosing one size up for added security and protection. If your dog is between sizes or has a thicker coat, opting for the larger size can provide a better fit.Try It On: 1. Once you receive the collar, try it on your dog before inflating. 2. Ensure the collar is not too tight or too loose. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog’s neck.Secure the Collar: 1. If the collar seems to slip or move around, please insert your dog’s regular daily collar into the inner loop of the inflatable collar. 2. This will help keep the collar in place and prevent your dog from escaping the collar.Adjust as Necessary: 1. Inflate the collar to the desired firmness, ensuring it remains comfortable for your dog. 2. Regularly check and adjust the fit, especially if your dog is very active or prone to scratching. The inflatable collar serves as a gentle preventer for your dog to refrain from exploring its torso with its mouth, which is particularly beneficial for delicate areas such as wounds, surgical sites, or skin sensitivities in the abdomen or chest. While these collars predominantly safeguard the head and torso, they also encourage dogs to avoid their front and hind legs. However, it’s important to note that the collar may not entirely restrict access to the extremities, as some dogs, with their remarkable flexibility and determination, might still find a way to reach their paws.

A comfy alternative to the plastic cones.
So glad this brand was available for same day delivery after our Chihuahua-Terrier mix developed a sudden anal glad abscess that needed Vet treatment. We’re very happy with its well-made quality soft fabric and good fit for our 11 lb furbaby. It was easy to inflate, but the loops to insert her regular collar were very tight and no adjustments, so a little bit of a challenge. She finally got used to it and fell asleep in her favorite chair. She had no problems keeping it on all night once it was time to go into her kennel, once she figure out a comfortable position to lay her head down. The next morning we let her have a break without it for breakfast, but pretty soon she was trying to lick her wound, and we found it worked just as well without connecting it with her collar with her neck circumstance at 9.5″, so the Velcro straps were strong enough on their own to keep it snug, and we didn’t have any problems with her trying to pull it off. This is a great option over the uncomfortable plastic cones if the dog’s not the type to try and pull it off. The only negative interaction is when unhooking the Velcro strap, as the noise scares her a little bit. We haven’t tried having her eat out of her food dish with it on as she wasn’t too sure about that and was very hesitant, so we took it off.

Pup approved! Get this donut way better than an e-collar.
Nice quality cover that’s soft and removable, so you can clean or wash it if needed. It’s easy to blow up – either with a pump or just your own hot air if you don’t have one. It’s held air for a few days so far without any issues. There are two loops on the inside where you can slide a collar or gauze through to secure it to your pet’s collar if needed. Around the outside is a strong, adjustable Velcro strap that keeps your pup from sneaking out.Bonus: it looks super cute and works like a little pillow, helping their wounds heal by preventing licking, making both of us happy. Mom and pup approved!

Way better than a cone! Doesn’t 100% stop from licking spay stitches though.
Sooo much more comfortable than her cone!! My 8 month old golden doodle just got spayed & absolutely hated the cone. It was so heavy, would get in the way of her walking around. This donut pillow works great! It’s soft, comfortable, and she is able to still drink water and eat her food while wearing it. We ordered a size Large. She is about 30 pounds. I will say it doesn’t completely stop her from licking her stitches, she can barely reach it but it’s so uncomfortable for her to reach over the donut that it makes her give up quickly. I would recommend still monitoring your animal closely with this as well.

Much better than a traditional cone(Eye issue)
I have an older black lab who is spoiled rotten. She is well behaved and has pretty much gotten to the point where we just let her do her thing because we can trust she isn’t going to cause any troubles. Now that she is older though and so spoiled she doesn’t take to change very well which became a problem recently when she somehow got a large corneal ulcer on her left eye(we think a stick poked her but that’s not the point). Anyway, right after she injured it I started putting a traditional plastic cone on her. The poor spoiled thing looked at me like I was torturing her. She would just stand there holding her head down like the cone was a millstone hung around her neck, but I said “I’m sorry this is for your own good”. Well I guess she decided to show me because then she started slowly walking swaying her head and slinging the cone around bumping into everything she could. Then I found her stuck in a doorway because the lip of the cone was stuck on the door frame and she was looking down the hall, so she couldn’t figure out why she couldn’t walk forward. I helped her through, but she kept bumping into things(I promise she was doing it on purpose the way she bumped into several things) and sometimes she would hit things so hard it would make her fall. Well she is a little fragile, so after fighting with the cone for a few hours it became clear that she was going to break something(in the house or worse one of her bones), so I took the cone off thinking it would be better to chance the eye than possibly an injury that could cost her life. After a few days though the eye started looking worse, and I started researching other options and found this. First off let me say, my spoiled lab still acts like she has a millstone hooked to her neck when wearing this but it is much safer for her. Also when walking in a wide open space she will still purposefully get as close to obstacles but instead of a cone that catches things, this one just bushes against it. It has 100% kept her from rubbing her eye on furniture or using her paws. Depending on how she lays sometimes it looks comfortable, but sometimes not so much, however regardless it seems more comfortable than the plastic cone. It is easy to inflate if you know what you are doing. For my dog(and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this to anyone unless they can related) because she is so well behaved and pretty much just accepts things regardless of if she likes it or not, I am able to just slip the donut on and off without running it through the collar. This allows me to quickly and easily take it on and off when I am with her and can watch her, and I also don’t have to worry about her pulling it off and I haven’t seen any difference whatsoever in her wearing it whether it was through the collar or not, but it was a hassle to take on and off when I was using the collar through it. She has started to get used to it but she is still spoiled. For example when I take it off she will have both of her eyes wide open, but when I slip this on her she will look at me with the left eye squinting. She is notorious for wanting pity parties(which means getting snacks), and I know that’s what the squinting eye is all about. Don’t believe me? one time she was staring at me while I was eating a carrot(her favorite snack), and I said “none for you”, and while she is still staring at me and been perfectly fine all day, she slowly drew her paw up as if it was hurting her. Anyway, while much better than a traditional plastic cone, some dogs still may not behave quite normally with this.

Donut is way better than cone of shame
My dog won’t wear the cone of shame. This was a great, comfortable alternative that made his recovery after surgery, stress free and comfortable and prevented licking of wound. Easy to use. Blow up, and adjust neck with Velcro. Washable. Easy to store when not being used. Good value.

    Excellent and Comfortable Recovery Collar
I have a GSD. She has a hotspot on her shoulder and this collar is preventing her from getting to it. I’ve used this recovery collar before, but I couldn’t locate it. What I love about this collar is that it allows my girl to be comfortable and pretty much maintain her active schedule. It is also a lifesaver on my furniture as she is not banging into things. She’s able to eat and drink with limited interference by the collar. While my girl’s neck size allows for a large, I did size up to extend the restriction reach, and her regular collar is able to maintain it in place. **I will say that this collar is not for long-faced dogs like a GSD for any injuries on the front paws as they can easily reach that area.**

This recovery collar worked perfectly for my Shiba Inu after spay surgery. The adjustable Velcro makes it easy to put on, remove, and readjust for meals. My dog was comfortable enough to sleep in it, and it could even double as a small travel pillow for me for car rides! One limitation: this style may not protect wounds located below the belly. For upper-body surgeries like spay/neuter it is very effective.Overall, a well-designed, comfortable alternative to a plastic cone that keeps dogs calm and mobile during recovery. Recommended for pets with upper-body surgeries
