Easy to open
For years I purchased BioBag’s black pet waste bags, but I always had a hard time getting them open. I saw these, and initially bought them because they came in a larger quantity. I noticed right away that I can open these bags easily. They seem a little shallow, so if you’re picking up after a very large dog they might not be suitable for you. They seem thick and durable enough for their purpose too.

Sturdy & made of biodegradable materials unlike other “recycled material” bags
Unlike other “environmentally friendly” dog poop bags that are made of post-industrial waste plastic — spare plastic that might otherwise be disposed of by factories after they’re finished making plastic products — these bags are the real deal. They are soft and silky, light but strong. Just feeling the bags you can tell that BioBag is describing them accurately. The bags are made of vegetable products that will break down when exposed to a combination of sun, oxygen and other decomposing matter.A recent price comparison I did shows that BioBag dog poop bags are 13 cents a bag; plastic dog poop bags at Lidl are 6 cents a bag. But when you add the toxic nature of the plastic bags that break down into microplastics, eventually infecting our oceans and our environment with teeny bits of plastic that get into everything you eat, the BioBags seems a lot less expensive over time.

These bags a great. They are large, hold a lot of waste and easy to dispense. I appreciate that they are biodegradable also.

Eco friendly but not a Mutt Mitt
I like that they’re degradable. But they’re pretty small and don’t have the pouch/pocket at end to “grab and fold”. But they seem reasonably sturdy. Just not very large? So, I carry two kinds and use these when I can – for the environment. Too bad Mutt Mitts are no longer biodegradable.

I’ve been using these bags for quite sometime to gather the waste from my cat’s litter box. They are easy to scoop the waste into and the perfect size.

Good bags for food waste but be careful with dog poop
Thankfully I use these for food waste, not dog poop, because the last batch was terrible. Rips randomly anywhere along the seams.I’ve had these on auto delivery for a couple of years, and they’ve worked great until 2024.Going to try one more batch.

By far the best compostable pet waste bag out there
I’ve tried so many brands. This is the only one that works well. It’s large enough, strong enough, and they open easily. And they are compostable! Other brands are either too fragile or do not open easily.
