Good for chemical sensitivities, awful spray bottle.
Good but not perfect. I used this as a pre-spray for a carpet cleaner (Bissell Big Green) and not through the machine. I deal with multiple chemical sensitivities, so I needed something that would wash all the way out.For chemical sensitivity, it’s quite good. Note that it does have Benzisothiazolinone which some people react poorly to, but it does wash out with water very easily, so even for someone sensitive to it, if you’re going to hit it with a ton of water after it sits, it’s generally fine. Otherwise, it’s about the safest cleaner I can think of.The smell is massively overwhelming but it’s actual lime, not anything that attaches to an oil to glue onto carpet fibers like you get in conventional cleaners, so once it’s rinsed, it’s gone. Still, nearly removed a star on this because they could pull about 70% off of that smell and it’d still be strong. The spray bottle SUCKS. Other reviewers are not joking. By the time I pulled the spray trigger 10 times, it was dripping down and soaking my hand. Waste of product, huge pain to use. If I use it again, I’ll buy a spray bottle and just use the refill jug of this. For effectiveness, I’m kind of mixed. It does do very well removing stains, it is an enzymatic cleaner, but I’m cleaning a rental with old dog pee dried into the carpet pad and while it got the room fresh, if I were to lay on the carpet and sniff the floor, I’d smell some funk still. I’d call it 90% effective. But for something that doesn’t bug MCS, that’s pretty hard to beat. Far more effective on pet stuff than non-enzymatic cleaners (vinegar, alcohol, etc.)If I had to do it again, I might give odoban a try, but overall, this definitely gets added to my permanent cleaner collection, as long as I’m rinsing with water after to get that lime smell down (it smells terrific, but too much of a good thing ya know)

    Effective and Natural Stain Remover
I’ve been using Biokleen Bac-Out for a while now, and it’s one of my go-to products for tough stains and odors. It’s plant-based, which is great because it feels safer to use around the house and pets. The enzymes really do a good job breaking down stains like pet accidents and food spills. Sometimes, stubborn stains need a couple of treatments, but that’s expected with natural products. I also like the mild lime scent—it’s fresh but not overpowering. Overall, it cleans well without the harsh chemicals, and I’d definitely recommend it if you want something effective and eco-friendly.

    this product really works!
I have been using Bac-Out for several years and now it is my #1 laundry essential. I decided to try the foaming action product to clean our sofa. A stray cat got in our house and sprayed the side of my sofa and I thought this might work better than the regular Bac-out. I did expect this to foam up like commercial products. Come to think of it, the foam is probably the result of harsh chemical (which I am trying to get away from). The product gets a little frothy but doesn’t have a stiff, foamy constitution. It is still very much a liquid that runs down and pools. As they say, water seeks its own level. It took a few applications but the smell is gone.To be fair, the stray cat did enter my home several times, especially while we were on vacation, and marked his territory accordingly. The smell was well-set in my suede cloth sofa. Surprisingly, I used very little to get the urine smell out. A lot less than the regular bac out. And I’ve been using it all around the house for almost two months.*. I noticed a stain on my slacks as I was leaving for an important meeting. I sprayed a small amount of this directly on the stain, gently scrubbed it with the spray tip and the stain was gone. Within minutes, the bac-out dried and no residue was left.*. I’ve been cleaning my bamboo cutting board with this instead of soaking it. The water was starting to warp the bamboo. Now I wash the cutting board without submerging it, spray both sides 2 or 3 pumps, and lightly rub it into the bamboo surface. Rinse a few minutes later and set it on the rack to dry. This product removes odors from garlic, onion, herbs, and even removed beet juice stains that I never expected to come out.*. This product removes practically every kind of stain. Blood, chocolate, beet juice, tomato, mustard (even set in the fibers of white pants). Ink, dirt (even ground in dirt in white socks)*. One time I sat on a chocolate bar that had been placed on the car seat and melted in the sun. I was covered in chocolate! I sprayed my clothes and threw them in the wash. Surprisingly, the stains came out completely. My light blue linen tank has no trace of chocolate.Bottom line is that this product works wonders, is much safer for pets and children, and is very economical.

Works very well on body odors.
Works very well on body odor. I was able to eliminate a smell from a chair that I could not get out no matter how hard I tried. At first I sprayed this, and washed according to directions. After, I just sprayed it on and let it dry. There is no odor left in the chair.

Good stain remover a must have if have animals
Like just spray and stain goes away. Purchased to have on hand in case puppy has an accident in the house. Very effective and spray nozzle stream covered large area. Spray easy to handle and stain remover didn’t remove color.

    Stain gone, smell PREEsent
This doesn’t get rid of the smell at all. I didn’t notice at first, because I was using pet detergent to wash everything I was cleaning it with. Then my puppy peed on the couch and it totally let me down. The stain went away but it smelled like she just did it, even days later. My dog peed on the chaise side of my sectional and the smell was so strong I was determined not to lay there. I tried the Rocco and Roxie’s a week later and the smell is completely gone. I should have known this was greenwashed marketing.

Used for cloth nappies and eliminating ammonia that wasn’t washing out of the night-time ones. Seems to be working well. Much easier to use with the spray head, doesn’t seem to foam though but not an issue for me.

I love this product, however the bottle arrived broken and most of it had leaked out. Very annoying considering the price.

Bought it a while ago and used it a couple of times. Really useless. I tried to use it to get rid of some urine and different stains the kids made, and nothing! Only bought it because it is a natural product and read some good reviews, but I might as well use water on the stains and would get the same result, with no cost.

I absolutely LOVE this product. I use it on all of my baby’s real nappies and it keeps the smell away fantastically and works great on the stains and we’ve had no residue/rash problems whatsoever. It might be expensive in comparison to other products, but it’s so worth it. Except, the only problem, is the terrible spray bottle it comes with. The bottle will work fine until it’s half empty, and then it’ll completely break – it won’t spray properly and it drips all over our fingers whenever we try to spray it. We’ve ended up buying some water spray bottles from eBay for a few pounds and we pour the product into them and they are working well for us now. If the bottle got fixed (and I wouldn’t mind it being slightly cheaper), I would never stop raving about this.
