Great for geriatric cats
Putting one side down is perfect for our (roughly) 20 year old cats. It allows them to easily enter and exit the box, which has been a game changer for the one starting to see some limited mobility. It is large enough for most cats; it accommodates a 12lb cat and a 15lb cat (geriatric stage cats – different boxes of course).

Perfect Starter Litter Pan for Training or Travel
Bought this for fostering a cat and her 3 kittens. It was perfect for the job. We started the kittens with it collapsed which is still enough depth for them to access at about 4-5 weeks old. They steadily used it from 5-8 weeks when we fully expanded it. We would recommend to anyone for kittens. The mom even used it occasionally once it was fully expanded. I could easily see this being a good option for traveling as well.

Great for limited mobility cat
Bought this when my cat had knee surgery and had limited leg mobility. The height when one side it pushed down was perfect, only a couple inches, so he could easily get in and out. And with the back at full height we didn’t risk any urine overshooting the side of the box!

Nice idea but didn’t work well.
I wanted to like this but unfortunately it is a pain. I got this for my older cat who is having trouble getting in and out of litter boxes. The idea that the sides can go down was nice. However, it goes down too easily. I wanted to have the front half down so my cat could get in easy and the back up to prevent a big mess. The cat can very easily push the sides down though and litter ends up everywhere. It would probably be fine for very small cats but my cat is a big boy and if he steps on the sides, they fold down.

A Little Pricey..,But Worth It!
I bought 2 of these to use in a double litter enclosure. I needed a litter box with taller sides because two of my kitties sling their litter out of the box like they are digging a tunnel to Mexico. The larger, higher sided litter boxes did not work because my cats couldn’t get in the enclosure. These are a little expensive but they are more like rubber instead of the thin plastic ones. They DO NOT absorb odor like the cheap plastic ones. My kitties are age 13, 12, and 5. All of my girls love these.
