This is our second purchase of this product. We have had our original for years used for our “downstairs” cat. We now have an “upstairs” cat so we purchased one for her as well. Cats don’t get along and have different diets.Holds plenty of food and the rectangular shape stores well on a shelf without taking up too much room.Nice wide mouth opening with the flap allows your entire hand to go into the container and use the included that is just the right size for a single serving of cat food. Very sturdy, right-sized with handy pour spout, not exactly “air tight”
About 20 years ago, I purchased this same brand and size for cat food storage. I also had a smaller one (about 3 quarts) of the same brand with identical appearance. I am not sure if it came with my original purchase or I purchased it separately. My old 8 quart unit had failed with a crack around the edge of the lid. I believe this newer design helps prevent the failure I experienced. This new unit is also made of a clearer material to see into. I still have the 3 quart model that I purchased 20 years ago and will use it in concert with this new 8 quart, as I tend to have about 10-11 quarts of cat food on hand when I replenish my supply. The description says this unit is airtight, which I don not believe is true. I can squeeze on the sides and it seems to allow air to escape. Nonetheless, it is close to airtight, and if you don’t submerge it, the contents should be fine.Given how long my old unit lasts, I look forward to many years of service.

Loved this Food container. I can easily fit two different ones in a small space, for each of my dogs. I have added tape to easily mark that one is for my senior dog, and a different color tape for my other dog. Easily able to flip open the lid and reach in to scoop out their dog food

This is a sturdy container that holds a good amount of dry cat food but can still fit onto my closet shelf. It’s a bit heavy when full and the opening could be a bit wider so it’s a tad easier to scoop the food out but it’s a good storage option. Nice that it has a handle.

Great food container
I have used an old Iams food container for many years and it finally broke. I came upon this one and it was the closest I could find to what I was using. It is the perfect size. My only complaint is that once you open the flid lid to pour food out, there is no spout to control the area the food goes to. The entire opening allows food out and I often pour food outside of the food bowl. Otherwise, great product.

Super convenient storage!
We have a small pooch and a large fur baby and they both are on different foods so I bought two of these to hold each kind of kibble. When we recently had to board our large guy I bought a third one so we could pack two bins for the kennel and easily tote enough food for him without a bulky container or taking an unwieldy bag of food.I buy a 15 pound bag of food for him and the whole bag fits in two containers. These are sooo nice. They open and close easily, snap closed tightly, and the handles are great to carry a bin from pantry into the kitchen at feeding time! The entire top comes off for easy refilling. I did find it easier to use my own round scoops to get the food out of the opening but that wasn’t a deal breaker for me … I just saved the scoops that came with the bins to use elsewhere. I really like these bins … they hold a lot but their narrow profile make them easy to store. Very happy with this purchase. 😊
