Update as of 23 Nov 2022: Based on the review I wrote below, Junspow contacted me about my experience. They genuinely were concerned about my comments and offered to send me the updated/improved version of this bed to see if my experience would be more positive. YES!!! Kudos Junspow!! This version was super easy to assemble, the screws were more than adequate length and the “gasket” was eliminated. It went together exactly as it was supposed to with no issue whatsoever. This is a quality made item. The tubing is super strong and all holes aligned. I can wholeheartedly give my endorsement of the product now. Thank you, Junspow, for reading the reviews and for caring enough about your customers to improve your product– and for asking me to give you another chance. I understand that the instructions are also being improved, but I found assembly of this design to be much more intuitive, and I completed it in about 5 minutes. I definitely recommend it now. Thank you again, Junspow! I’m a happy camper. Oh, and the kitty blanket from Junspow is also a big hit around here!Oct 2022: Wow. Assembly of this thing was some special kind of pain. I was tempted to rate it 1 star based only on the difficulty to assemble. Eventually I determined the screws were too short and I didn’t have any longer ones on hand, so I eliminated the piece called the “gasket” in the so-called instructions, which helped. The instructions are written so poorly and the illustrations so small, they are virtually useless. Watch the video instead to get the idea, even tho for me that didn’t totally help until I decided to not use the gasket. The assembly would also have been easier if the semicircular tube that holds the fabric went together with a flat spot where you attach the supporting legs. Mine couldn’t get close enough to the supporting legs to also use the gasket because of the too short screws. Additionally, I couldn’t figure out the order in which the pieces were to be placed. I believe it’s the gasket closest to the fabric bed, then the semicircular tube that hold the fabric, then the semicircular leg on the outside. Orient the screws based on your preference. The assembly was a lesson in frustration to say the least. Too me way too long for such a simple item.As to the item itself, it seems sturdy. The legs are solid metal and the fabric seems durable. I expect cat claws will snag it pretty easily tho. My cats haven’t used it yet but I’m hopeful they’ll like it. If you want to wash the fabric, you’ll have to disassemble the unit except for the crossbars. Given the difficulty getting it assembled, I think I would just try to wash it in my laundry tub.I’d rate this item 5 stars if the instructions were helpful/readable and the screws were the necessary length. If my cats don’t love it, I’m going to be annoyed after what I went thru to put it together.

Great bed, but my cat prefers to be higher
So easy to put together, I love it, but my cat does not. I think she prefers a higher perch 🤣🤣. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great cat bed, my neighbors cat will love it!

It’s slip resistant for the cat to crawl or step into. My pet loves it & he’s a big boy so it’s sturdy & thick enough that he stays warm . It is great for the price. He stays sleeping in it over my furniture now . Works great .

Cold weather update – 20 pound cat loves it!
Six month update – now with cold weather!The hammocks are in use daily by all cats. Recently, one had a medical situation and was inappropriately urinating all over, including these hammocks. I decided to experiment with washing methods and placed the entire assembled beds in the tub, used gentle detergent on the affected areas, and thoroughly rinsed them with the shower attachment and left them to air dry. They were pristine after washing, and they are again in use by everyone. I placed inexpensive infant receiving blankets in them, and the cats enjoy the warmth. The beds have remained rock solid, and even with rough-housing play, there has been no fabric fraying, punctures, ripping or tearing.I have large and EXTRA large rescued cats entering their geriatric years. I catsit for several others with similar needs. I discovered these low to the ground hammock beds and bought ONE. It was simple and easy to assemble, and I write this as someone with moderate decreases in fine motor coordination and very little hand strength. All of the screws, nuts and a phillips screwdriver were included with an instruction manual that had pretty good directions and helpful illustrations.As soon as the hammock was set up, I sprinkled some catnip in it and waited – for about ten seconds. My largest cat climbed right in and not only fit, but had room to get and stay comfortable. I then purchased two more – another for my crew and one for the silver tabby pictured, who is becoming arthritic. He also climbed in, settled to a comfy position and visibly relaxed. His partner in catdom, the orange and white Zooomie master, took a turn, so I ordered a fourth bed.Pros: very easy to set up. Easily accommodates large framed and heavy cats (thinking of Wegies, Maine Coons, Sibes, etc). Easy to spot clean. Low to the ground. Sturdy and stable – no wobbling. Can add blankets or place within soft sided beds to block drafts/increase warmth in cool/unheated areas. Feet caps prevent floor scratches. Competitive price. Very lightweight and one hand only required to pick up and move it.EDIT Cons: DOES NOT require complete disassembly to remove and wash the fabric “bowl”. (took me about 5 minutes to test this – really not difficult). The entire bed can be washed intact if the frame fits in a tub or shower area. No CONS observed!Unknown: how fabric weathers in outdoor conditions, but it appears to be able to withstand some sun, water and catnip spray.EDIT: Six months in, and the beds are in daily use without signs of wear and tear by cats weighing 15-20 pounds.Two weeks in, and the occupancy rate is still climbing.

My 4 cats love it, we have placed it in our catio so even if it does get wet it dries out easily. Good size even for one of our fat cats.

It’s easy to set up and my cat loves it.
