Our little guy had a situation with another kitty that landed him one of those ridiculous cones from the vet. As our pprox 2yr old Bombay is more on the petite side, he struggled to do just about anything from walking to eating to getting in and out of the litter box with the plastic cone of shame around his neck. But then, along came Amazon for the win, again! My kids and I saw this, and I could not resist! I’ll admit, our kitty wasn’t thrilled with it initially, but he was much more capable of moving around with this donut on his neck as it is similar to a pillow us humans use on airplanes and road trips. It’s not too stiff, and just squisy enough that he can navigate essential areas in his everyday adventures. His demeaor was much better in the donut “cone” so i am even more thrilled with this purchase! It’s not too tight on the neck and the collar is adjustable like sweatpants, so a chunkier cat could benefit from this item as well. It’s adorable and functional, and i’m pretty sure a lot less expensive than that plastic monstrosity from the vet, so if you’re on the fence, just give it a shot. You can always get a plastic one from the vet if you change your mind!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING…. SHE LOVES IT!!!
My older kitty developed a hot spot above her eye, and the vet recommended a “collar of shame” for her to wear as she keeps thumping the wound with her back feet. I hated the thought of putting a plastic collar on her, and also she is very small so was not sure it would even stay on. I found this collar, and ordered it. OH MY GOODNESS!! It was so easy to put on and she LOVES it! She eats fine in it, uses the litter box fine and sleeps in it. It has been a full two days and she has not tried to get it off. She likes laying on it like a pillow. She is just as comfy as could be, and in just the two days she has been wearing it, the wound is healing over nicely. It was so easy to adjust, is not tight at all but I recommend tucking the loose cord ends inside the collar so they do not hang out. From all the other kitties out there, thank you for this wonderful, kitty-kind invention…. we LOVE IT!!!

Super helpful
After trying to put clothes on my cat for weeks I bought this “donut”. Let me say it is amazing compared to clothes. He was able to escape clothes within minutes of me getting him dressed. This donut has been on him for a little over a week. It keeps him from licking himself raw. It is super easy to put on him but hard for him to get it off. He can no longer reach his armpit to lick himself & I can tell he is a lot more comfortable wearing this. The size is perfect. My cat is apx 15 pounds & I bought a size medium. He can continue his day to day activities without having to remove it. Much better than a cone.

Cute and comfy, but…..
Super cute, and good quality. Much more comfortable than the cone, but I’m not convinced she wasn’t able to reach her incision. Luckily there were no problems. It worked out for her cuteness and comfort and mostly kept her away from her incision. I definitely wouldn’t buy it for a bigger cat than mine. I think the cone protects better, but she definitely could not eat or drink with that cone on, or see side to side. Much easier to eat with the donut on. There is a string that that adjusts around the cats neck, so it does fit all sizes of necks, which is nice. Id supervise your cat to make sure it cant reach incision. Its definitely good to have as a 2nd option.

Comfortable (and cute) way to get through recovery!
Super cute and made it so much more comfortable for my cat to get through the last half of her spay recovery.The cone they provide at the vet was getting in the way of her doing everything and was clearly frustrating her, but this pillow made it easier for her to get around, eat, sleep, and use the litter box. She slept so much better in it, too.Plus this was way more effective and lot harder for her to get off. She slipped out of the regular cone so many times, because she’s so small, I was forced to find an alternative, but this is a great one! The smallest size fit my 5.5 lb kitten very well, it wasn’t too loose or too tight.Now that she’s fully recovered and it’s off, she likes to play with it, so it’ll get even more use than intended.

Cute. But didn’t work for my girl for the fact that she attacked it with it on and her two sisters also attacked it. Too much like a toy.

Soft and comfortable
This arrived the day before my kittens surgery. I put it on him and he was able to get it off in 10 minutes. So I thought he’d just use the cone from the vet. After his surgery, the vet had to give him anxiety meds because of how much he hated the cone of shame. He was sad and depressed in the cone. 24 hours later, I try using this collar again but I tied a knot against the adjusting piece in an attempt to keep it on. The knot did it. The collar has stayed on and my cat is back to his normal self and not needing the extra medication any more. (Which giving a cat meds isn’t easy for anyone) As long as you don’t tie the knot too tight and have nails, then it takes less than 30 seconds to take off the collar. This thing has made the post surgery process so much easier. He’s about 10 pounds and the medium fits perfectly.
