Perfect for Cats
While I love the Idea of this product, and it would be great for older Cats. The mesh is a bit fragile for Kittens. My little Demon, snagged it the first day. That being said, it did exactly what I needed it to do. I wish them made the mesh a little stroger.

We have a couple of cats that want to go outside, so we thought a set up like this tent might work well for them. Keep them away from other wildlife and pests like ticks or mosquitoes while giving them some fresh air and a change in view. Nope.First up, zero instructions came with this kit. It took assembling the rods in a few different ways to figure out what went where. Secondly, there’s no extras of any of the parts. If something breaks, you’re screwed. So we were extra careful when assembling this play tent and luckily didn’t have any bit break. Also, there absolutely NO WAY these rods are fiberglass. Maybe a piece of fiberglass was wafted by a stack of these poles and they hoped this would imbue the poles with the same strength and flexibility real fiberglass poles would have. Spoiler – it didn’t work. A third issue is the seams. The seams of this play tent are horrible thanks to the super thin nylon fabric which makes up the walls. The tension put on the fabric from the structural poles caused all of the seams to stretch out and begin to tear. Still, we soldiered on in order to at least try and get our cats some use of this play tent.Once everything was assembled and zipped together, we put one of the cats inside. He sniffed around and ginger-stepped on the weird feel of the nylon floor with blades of grass poking through underneath. After he got comfortable in his new surroundings and laid down to chill and watch the world go by, one of the plastic support poles snapped. This freaked the cat out who started zooming through both sides of the play tent, which cause another pole to break and the cat to freak out even more, which then caused the tent to flip on its side since there were no ground spikes or loops to secure the tent to the ground so this couldn’t happen. Needless to say, this cat now has play tent PTSD and refuses to have anything to do with the new play tent we ordered (one that is canvas and metal and can be secured to the ground).When I ordered this tent, it was selling for about $15. I see the price has gone up quite a bit, and there’s no reason why as the materials used to make this couldn’t cost more than a few bucks. The nylon fabric is incredibly thin and prone to snags which lead to very large runs in the fabric. The mesh material seems to be made out of extruded plastic and was easily broken in several places when our cat put his claws in the mesh and proceeded to stretch. The seams are badly sewn and there isn’t enough give to the design to keep the seams from pulling apart. The rods are made of thin and brittle plastic. There was almost no flexibilty to them like there would be if they were actually made from real fiberglass. The kit doesn’t come with any spare parts or directions. The tabs in which to insert the connected poles are too shallow which causes the poles to frequently pop out. The zippers on the opening flaps and connections don’t slide easily. The teeth were often improperly spaced which caused the zipper sides to separate. There’s no way to secure this play tent to the ground to prevent it from blowing over in the wind or flipping over because of an active cat inside. The only decently made part of this whole kit? The carry bag. Which is ironic since we had to toss the play tent and now have no need of the carry bag.

Useful item, great price!
This was great for my cat when she dislocated her leg and I needed to keep her from walking around. I still use the small tent for her litterbox to keep it covered since I had to switch her to a lower litter box. It was a bit of a struggle putting it together. The poles seemed a bit too long for the tent. I had to break a piece of of one to get it to fit into the corner. After that, everything else went into place.
