Does Tickshield work against all bugs?
Tickshield is third-party tested for fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, ants, mites, chiggers, roaches, wasps, and scorpions. However, our products have been popular for a larger range of pests for over 20 years.
Is it safe to use on children and pets?
It sure is! Tickshield is family-safe and pet-friendly when used as directed. Tickshield is only recommended for dogs over 20 lbs. For smaller dogs and cats, go with Cedarcide Original instead.
How often should I apply?
Apply before outdoor activities that could expose you or your pets to biting bugs. Reapply every 5ā7 hours or after getting wet. See āInstructionsā on the label for more details.
Can it be used outdoors as well as indoors?
While you can apply Tickshield to people and pets outdoors, as well as spray bugs directly on hard surfaces, Tickshield is not plant safe, so exercise caution when using it around grass or other greenery. For lawn protection, go with Outdoor Bug Control instead.
Whatās the difference between the cedarwood and lemongrass options?
Both are equally effective at controlling unwanted bugs, so it all depends on your scent preference. Cedarwood is classic and earthy (think cedar closet or chest) and lemongrass is brighter and more citrus-like.

Instructions
For People: Spray onto skin and clothing every 5ā7 hours or as needed. Use hands to apply to your face and avoid eyes and mouth.
For Dogs & Horses: Lightly mist coat, including underbelly, ears, and tail. Massage into their skin. Use hands to apply to their face, avoiding eyes and mouth. Apply every 2ā4 days or more often as needed. Tickshield is not designed for animals under 20 lbs.
For Indoor Use: Spray bugs directly or apply weekly for prevention. Can be used on flooring, furniture, countertops, pet spaces, fabrics, and more.
For Gear: Mist backpacks, tents, hammocks, and more. Apply daily or as needed.

No fleas this year
Had fleas really bad last two autumns. Sprayed this all along perimeter in August and did not see any. True it could be attributed to Godās mercy as well. Also really nice smell but people with allergies may not agree.

Oh my gosh – this stuff is incredible. I got the Cedarwood and the smell is not bad at all. Most importantly, once I spray my dog she totally is fine with it. No licking at all, which I was a bit concerned about. We walk in forest preserves and wetlands quite a bit so ticks always take a ride home with her (even though she does receive flea and tick meds monthly).Since Day 1 – NO TICKS! I’ve been using it once a day, usually in the morning and it seems to last through the evening for a final walk because – NO Ticks!

Bug free walks
While Iām not a fan of the cedar wood smell, the dogās certainly donāt mind. We walk in wooded areas often and it Seems to keep the fleas n mosquitoes away. Iāve used it on my clothing and it does keep the pesty insects off me. Iād rather it smell like Chanel but this is whatās repelling them. Itās more of a natural smell than some of the leading repellents out there.

Great all natural, deep free bug spray.
A friend gifted me with several small bottles to try and I found that it really works great. I love working out in the yard now, the bugs hate it plus it is all natural.I had issues with ants in the house and I could not believe how it took care of that issue almost immediately.I love that it is pet friendly and works well keeping ticks and fleas off the pets. Highly recommend it.

Kills fleas not ticks
This does not kill ticks! Much less repell them! I live in the country and I have bird dogs. This claims to repell and kill ticks. Nope that’s not the case it kill fleas.. pisses off your dog and leaves the ticks thriving.

Expensive but it really works!
We bought this because we have 2 big hairy dogs who get ticks on them every time we do our weekend walk through a local park. Theyāre on flea/tick meds but those donāt work until the tick bites and we didnāt want them bringing into our house with our newborn. After one walk early this summer we found 22 ticks on or near the dogs after we got home.Since then weāve used the cedarcide spray on their coats before each walk now (doing my best to get good coverage) and have only found 2 ticks, total, after the last dozen walks. Huge difference!I also use it on myself when I go for runs or when Iām gardening because I have a bad reaction to deet. Highly recommend
