Cheristin is a topical flea treatment designed specifically for cats and available without a prescription. It provides fast-acting relief from flea infestations, killing fleas in 30 minutes with 98% – 100% of fleas killed in 12 hours and working faster than Frontline Plus and Advantage II.
Unlike other flea treatments for cats, Cheristin’s low-volume dose is approved to use on kittens and cats over 1.8 lbs. and greater and 8 weeks of age and older, making it a perfect addition to multi-cat households who don’t want to worry about keeping track of multiple products by cat size.
Cheristin is an easy-to-apply topical flea treatment for cats with a non-greasy, quick-drying formula. It is designed with a rounded tip applicator that delivers a gentle dose. Hold applicator tube in an upright position and open applicator tube by twisting the nozzle tip. Part the hair on your cat’s neck at the base of the head until the skin is visible. Place the open tip of the tube directly above their skin and squeeze 2-4 times to expel the contents onto the skin. Discard the empty tube and in 30 minutes, fleas will begin dying.
Cheristin is available in single-dose packs or 3 and 6-dose packs. Stock up and save on future orders of Cheristin topical flea prevention with a subscription, and gain peace of mind that you’ll always be prepared for your cat’s next dose.

Get something that works! Fleas haven’t dealt with this before. Win the war with the pesky fleas!
This works very well. When I looked into this chemical, I found it originated in Japan. With the amount of flea spray they use around these parts, the fleas don’t seem to die. They may even think it is fertilizer! I put this on my cat and he stopped the itching quickly as the fleas died. The different chemical kicked the fleas buttocks. They had no tolerance built up against this treatment. Easy application on back of head with drops. There used to be a sticker to put on calendar as a reminder to reapply. Maybe they still have that nice little feature. I notice there are options for 1,3,6 applications. They might even have a 12 pack. Worth the money from my experience.

The Fleas Didnāt Stand a ChanceāAnd My Spoiled Ginger Prince Approves
If youāve ever battled fleas in the southern U.S., particularly in Georgia, you know those little pests donāt play fair. I swear the fleas here are built differentāstronger, sneakier, and somehow immune to most over-the-counter treatments. Enter: Cheristin, the only thing thatās finally given both me and my cat a break. My 5-year-old, 9.3-pound, formerly feral ginger cat who once lived under my house and slowly (over the course of a year) decided I was trustworthy enough to accept cuddles and full-time indoor luxury. He has a catio for safe outdoor timeāheās earned his spoiled status. Outside time = fleas. We tried shampoos, natural sprays, and the kind of expensive spot-ons that come with a dissertation-length warning label. Nothing worked and kept him feeling okayāuntil Cheristin.Hereās what stood out immediately:š Fast-Acting ReliefThis stuff starts working in 30 minutes and lives up to the hype. Within a few hours, I noticed a dramatic reduction in scratching and the flea āsightingsā (aka when he runs across the room like somethingās biting his soul).š„ Kills Fleas DeadāFastThe claims say 98ā100% flea kill within 12 hours. I believe it. By the next morning, it was like the fleas had packed up and left town. No scratching, no twitching, no more flea comb drama.š§“ Easy ApplicationThe applicator has a small rounded tip that makes it easy to apply right between the shoulder bladesāaka the āzone of toleranceā for most cats. My guy barely noticed. No greasy residue, no strong smell, no weird side effects.šæ No Nausea or Weird ReactionsSome treatments have made him lethargic or nauseated in the past. Not this one. He went back to sunbathing like a king and zooming around the house without missing a beat.š Multi-Cat FriendlyWhile I just have the one, I appreciate that Cheristin comes in a one-size-fits-all dose. If youāre managing a pride of cats, this is so much easier than juggling sizes and labels.A few helpful tips:- Apply at night so it has time to fully absorb before your cat resumes back-flip grooming.- One dose truly lasts the full 6 weeksāthough I set a calendar reminder at 5 weeks because Georgia fleas are relentless.- Works even with cats who spend time outdoors (in controlled settings like catios or screened porches). In short, Cheristin saved my sanity and let my spicy little ginger boy enjoy his catio time againāflea-free and fabulous. If youāre at your witās end and nothing else has worked, give this a try. Your cat deserves comfort, and letās be realāso do you.

Expensive but it kills our resistant fleas
So fleas are the bane of many pet owners’ existence. It’s a constant struggle for Texans because we don’t even really have a flea season – it’s all year long. Still, I managed to stay on top of things until a couple of years ago, when I noticed our topical, once-a-month flea treatments didn’t seem to be working as well. Over time, they stopped working altogether. And I tried them all – Advantage, Frontline, Advantage II, Frontline Plus. I began resorting to using Capstar in between monthly treatments just to keep my pets from being eaten up. And of course, I sprayed my yard, washed the pet bedding regularly, vacuumed daily, put diatomaceous earth on my pets, and sprayed the inside of my house. (My six cats are strictly indoor cats but my dogs do go outside to potty.)I finally accepted that our fleas had become resistant to common flea treatments and went in search of other treatments. A friend told me about Cheristin so I bought it and applied it to all of my cats. The box says it’s best to apply to the base of the back of the head rather than between the shoulders and cautions not to let cats ingest the product. Holy cow – this stuff works! Within 24 hours, I found dead fleas on my cats when I combed them. Within 3 days, I could not find a single, live flea on any of my cats! Hurray! This is a once a month treatment. This product alone will not eliminate a flea infestation. You will need to use a multipronged approach by washing pet bedding, vacuuming daily, treating carpeting and soft furnishings, etc. You may even need to use flea foggers if you have a bad outbreak in your home but this does a good job of killing any fleas the take up residence on your cat.All topical flea treatments have to potential to cause localized hair loss, and other symptoms that are more serious so I strongly suggest watching your cat carefully when you first apply this, or any other, flea treatment. I was a little anxious but all of my cats were fine afterward and they are flea-free. It’s kind of expensive but it works so I have it on Subscribe and Save now. Thank goodness I found something that works again!Update: More than 2 summer months later, my cats are still flea-free with no bad side effects. Not even any localized hair loss, which they often had when I used Frontline. Very pleased.

Works great but unpleasant smell
Great product! Cheristin got rid of the fleas from my two cats! I have tried the other competing name brand companies and none of them seem to get rid of my flea problem. I believe the fleas in my area (I live in California) became resistant to the formulas of the competing companies. Cheristin is very easy to use. All you have to do is twist the cap to open and itās ready to use. It only needs to be applied once a month and works on both kittens and cats. The only reason I give this product 4 stars is that this product does have a VERY strong and unpleasant smell. It smells moldy and the smell will last for days. The product also leaves a greasy residue that also lingers for a few days. Other than the smell and residue I will say this is a very effective product.

A must for your cat(s)
Immediate effect on both my cats, noticed they stopped scratching & it provided them with a relaxed mood. I like that itās easy to apply & with applying at the back of the neck they cannot lick. Smell is fairly pleasant š
