Seriously, buy this stuff
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Natural Wonder! Diatomaceous Earth is a Game Changer! As someone who tries to live as naturally as possible, I’m always on the lookout for effective, non-toxic solutions for common household and garden problems. Diatomaceous Earth (DE) has absolutely blown me away with its versatility and effectiveness! I purchased a large bag of Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth here on Amazon, and I’m so glad I did. Here’s why DE has earned a permanent spot in my home:* Pest Control Champion (without the chemicals!): This is where DE truly shines for me. I had a persistent ant problem in my kitchen, and within a couple of days of a light dusting along baseboards and entry points, they were GONE. Seriously, gone! I’ve also used it successfully in my raised garden beds to deter slugs and snails, and it’s worked wonders. The beauty is that it kills pests by dehydrating them, so they can’t develop resistance like with chemical sprays. Plus, it’s safe to use around my pets (just remember to wear a mask when applying to avoid inhaling the fine dust yourself!).* Pet Parents, Listen Up! My dogs are prone to fleas, and I’ve been hesitant to use harsh chemical treatments. I’ve been lightly dusting their bedding and even gently rubbing a tiny bit into their fur (avoiding eyes and nose, of course), and it’s definitely helped keep those pesky fleas at bay. Again, always ensure you’re using food-grade DE for any pet applications.* Odor Eliminator Extraordinaire: I’ve sprinkled a little in the bottom of my trash cans and even in my cat’s litter box, and it does a fantastic job of absorbing odors. It’s a subtle difference, but noticeable.* Unexpected Health Benefits (Internal Use – Food Grade Only!): Now, this is anecdotal, and I always recommend doing your own research and consulting with a healthcare professional. However, I’ve started taking a teaspoon of food-grade DE mixed in water daily for about a month now. I’ve honestly noticed my nails feel stronger, and my hair seems to have a bit more shine. I also feel like my digestion is a bit smoother. I attribute this to the silica content, which is apparently great for connective tissues.A Few Important Notes:* ALWAYS buy “Food Grade” DE! There’s an industrial grade that is not safe for internal consumption or use around pets/food. Do your homework.* It’s dusty! When applying, especially larger quantities, wear a mask to avoid inhaling the fine powder. It can be irritating to the respiratory system.* It works by drying things out. This means it’s less effective when wet. If you’re using it outdoors for pest control, you’ll need to reapply after rain.Overall, I can’t recommend Diatomaceous Earth enough. It’s a natural, cost-effective, and incredibly versatile product that has replaced several chemical alternatives in my home. If you’re looking for a healthier, more environmentally friendly way to tackle common problems, give food-grade DE a try! You might be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

Gets rid of fleas and any shelled bugs
This product does help get rid of FLEAS in the CARPET! I have used Diatomaceous Earth in one form or another for years! Food grade is the best, and our kitties stay flea free. We sprinkle on the carpets, after vacuuming and do not worry about HAVING to vacuum again immediately after. It hurts nothing but hard shelled bugs. The more it gets worked into the carpets the better it is. That does not mean we don’t vacuum-we do, but we use the food grade AFTER vacuuming. We let it sit on the carpets AFTER vacuuming! It only hurts the fleas, and any other hard shelled bugs. Try it, and you will see the difference! Our feet walking on carpet, make the white powder disappear. After vacuuming, we reapply the DE. We also use a lemongrass spray made by Cedarcide, (sold here on Amazon) for furniture, sofas, beds, bottoms of curtains and cat towers. Combined and used often during flea season, it does work. Cedarcide also makes an outdoor spray if your pets have a particular area they go outside.

Ants and fleas-all gone!
I use this was all pesty critters! Recently, poofed under beds, all cracks in house, outsidenof house, cupboards in combination to flea shampoo and comb, collars, flea spray, fog and a flea light i bought on Amazon. Its been 4 months and not a single flea and i didnt even do a second round bc i never even found a flea to justify it. I did this all before my daughter had her first baby- 1 month before. I think diatamaceous earth worked better at eliminating the fleas and those pesty ants better than anynother product weve used before

Useless for Carpet Beetles
Two separate times I watched as a carpet beetle crawled through a pile of this product. I gave 3 starts because it smells nice and spreads well.
