GREAT DESIGN DELIVERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND YOUR WORLD WITH YOUR LOVED ONE
I was really excited to try this, since my Yorkie seems frustrated when his communication is not understood. I felt a bit disappointed when I opened the box.I’ve been studying the button communication sets for several years not sure if it was a good move on my part.Here are my pros and cons:Pros -1) The directions were very clear and made the process go smoothly;2) Labels are included to identify the button desired;3) There is a pad to which the button is attached so that they don’t slide when engaged;4) The buttons are various colored which helps for identification by the dog (recent studies prove that dogs do see colors, not with the complexity of humans but they know the basics);5) The set came with pre-installed batteries, which if you want to save energy, you can simply flip a switch on the back of the button.Cons -1) This set has much smaller buttons than the sets I have favored;2) When you do the voice recording, it can tend to sound muffled. After some trial and error, I realized it was better to keep it at arms length;3) While I appreciate the labels, there are none that are blank if you wish to engage using a word not provided;4) I like the pad which allows for expansion as some sets have a sturdy, thick plastic puzzle formation on the sides, allowing you to easily add another group of buttons to expand your dogs vocabulary.I think this is a good value at the time of this writing, as this is at the low end of the price for similar sets. If my cons aren’t important to you, then this is worth picking up.
