Best Recovery Vest EVER!
Absolutely loved this surgical recovery vest. Price was more than reasonable for the benefits it offered; such as not having to make any adjustments for our Winston to “do his business”. The key for a great fit is to make sure you measure your pet and buy according to the sizing guide. The vest was easy to put on. I will say, it took two of us to put it on and take off. It was easier to put on by sliding the vest over the head and then putting both legs partially thru the front leg holes at the same time and then pulling it all the way over the legs and down the body. It was hard to stretch the vest enough to put one leg in a hole, then the other leg. The vest was snug, but not too tight once it was in place. The “anatomy” cut-out was perfect. I was concerned the tabs would not hold around his back legs, so I attached some velcro tabs to the extra length. Well, the velcro tabs would not stay in place; but the sticky tabs held like a charm. There was no sliding or movement of the vest at anytime. It stayed perfectly in place. There was never any urine or feces on the vest. Winston seemed to be very comfortable in it as he never scratched at it, or acted as if it was bothering him in anyway from the moment we put it on (this may have been due to him being so pleased to be released from the cone of shame after a couple of days of it). There was no interference with his collar and tags. I did tape a small telfa gauze over his neuter stitches to protect it from the suit rubbing; which proved to be totally unnecessary as the suit did not stretch out or move around on his body at all. When we took the suit off, it looked as good as when it went on. It was very durable with no scratch or pull marks. When we took the suit off, the gauze was still in perfect place. Removing the tape and gauze was more of an issue than pulling the vest off. Would highly recommend this vest over the cone of shame!!

Ideal solution
It is rare when a product actually exceeds expectations, but here’s one that does. My one-year-old dog was getting spayed, and the vet actually recommended a recovery suit. They offered to sell me one (at a pretty high price), so I decided to shop around and decided on Comwish for 2 main reasons: 1) 2-pack at a good price (one to wash and one to wear), and 2) cut-outs to allow for pottying without having to roll the suit forward, which seemed like it might irritate the incision and be a pain in the neck. The suit was a complete success! I dropped it off with the vet before surgery so they could put it on her while still slightly sedated. We never had to resort to the cone of shame, and my dog never bothered or licked at the incision at all. The potty cut-outs worked perfectly so that the suit could just stay in place until we changed it for washing (which we did about every 2 days, although that probably wasn’t really necessary). The L size was a perfect fit for my 40-pound, rather long-bodied goldendoodle. I was grateful that she seemed so comfortable during her recovery — and looked quite stylish, too!

Soft & Comfy
True to size & fits our dog comfortably. He weighs 23 lbs and the medium size fits him well. He had surgery to clamp a shunt off of his liver & he was neutered. With 2 incisions, this onesy cover both of them so he cannot lick them. I wish there was more velcro for the flaps on the backside to stick to. The end of the flaps stick up rather than lay flat. If had more of the velcro, I would have given it a 5 star.

Suits worked Very well after my puppies spay surgery
These suits worked Very well after my puppies spay surgery. She was very comfortable in them, wore them all day long and even slept in them.. and it kept her from licking her stitch’s. She had no problem peeing or pooping with the suit on and didn’t make a mess of the suit. They are washable.. though getting two, I only had to put them through the washing machine once and they did hold up.The suits got us through the healing process very well. Measure before you buy.. my puppy was aprox 9 pounds at the time, I’ve forgotten the length I measured and I liked the small, it fit a bit snugger.. the next size up was too loose and she could reach her stitches.. I bought a medium size too, but the small worked best for her.

Excellent recovery suit for my female Yorkie
I got this after my female Yorkie got spayed so that she wouldn’t have to wear a cone. I’m so glad I got this. It’s a very nice suit and worked well for us.Pros:+It’s made of a soft, stretchy material that washed up easily. I had to put it in the dryer rather than lay it flat to dry so that I could put it right back on her and noticed no shrinkage from the dryer.+I loved, repeat LOVED the fact that I could cut out the area to expose her rear so that I didn’t have to remove the suit to take her outside. I bought another suit at the same time that didn’t have that option and I’m telling you, that one feature made this one far superior to the other brand/style.+The concept in general is so much better than having them wear a cone or donut around their neck. My dog recovered as normal with no struggles related to the cone.Cons:-I’m not sure if it was just that my dog was a little short when measured shoulder to tail, but we were left with loose flaps/straps/tabs that secured it at the leg/hip area. It fit her around the chest/abdomen but was a little long shoulder to tail and the tabs flapped loose even when secured at the tightest spot in the Velcro. I twisted them and tried to adjust them, but if the Velcro had been a little more generous on these flaps to allow a more custom fit, it would have been better.

Recommend even with issues
Very cute and useful. However, the suit was not snug enough around the belly and when our puppy urinated through the cut out section, he got urine the suit. Also, he could lick through the hole and reach the incision. We did not cut the hole on the second suit, and just rolled it back when he went out to potty. The suit was adorable and much better than an Elizabethan collar. I would recommend it even with the issues that we had. Also, I would recommend to get two as we frequently had to wash them.

This thing was the greatest!! I bought this as an alternative to a cone when my dog got spayed. My dog is VERY active and this suit was perfect.Pros: sizing was spot on, nice and soft, easy to wash, very stretchy, cute designCons: she figured out how to undo the Velcro at the back eventually but that is not the fault of the product, she is just really long lol.

Good suit, great after spaying our corgi. It fit well. Just confusing that it claims your (female) dog can pee in it, but didn’t give the instruction that you would still have to cut the female flap for that, so we had to wash this suit the moment we put it on our dog. It was clear it needed to be cut for male dogs.
