Soft and doesn’t slip, trying to get dog to use it more
The doggy stairs is filled with cushioned foam that expands when you unwrap the plastic wrap. The stairs offers 3 steps and it is at the exact perfect height for setting up next to your sofa to allow your small or older dog some extra assistance when getting on the sofa and getting off.I wish my dog would learn how to use the stairs every time that he needs to get off the sofa but unfortunately that’s not as easy to teach but when he does use the steps its a lot less impact on the landing vs when he just jumps right off.My dog is 12 years old in age so I think its very important to give the type of support for the joints and so he doesn’t risk any injuries and I think the stairs offers that.I also find that its nicer that these stairs are foam based instead of plastic, and the steps are cloth fabric based instead of rubber. My little guy even liked to sit and lay on the top step because its soft and cozy. The stairs aren’t heavy and even have a grab handle in case you need to move it to a different room. The bottom of the stairs has some grip to them too so you can’t just easily slide it on the laminate flooring. I don’t know if it will offer the same level of grip on carpet but I think carpet wouldn’t be as slippery either.If I can teach my dog to use these steps 100% of the time I would be much more comforting knowing the chances of injuring his ankles is lower.

Sturdy and soft
For small pets, this set of stairs from aodisman is quite helpful, if they use it. My cat cat still jump to chair height but does a lot of math & warm-ups to get up to the high bed. She is still suspicious of the stairs or perhaps too stubborn to admit she needs help.But that has nothing to do with the stairs, which are stable with the plastic tread inserts and firm foam structure.The cover fits well and is a soft, nubby chenille polyester. Zippers allow the cover to be easily removed & replaced.The directions say to let the foam expand and air out in a well-ventilated space for 2-3 days. It’s vacuum packed and almost flat when it arrives but quickly expands. I didn’t notice much of a smell and within a few hours it appeared full size but I gave it 2 days. The cover was already in place, so I just had to slip in the rectangular rigid plastic treads and zip it up.It’s fairly light and has a carrying handle on the upper back, so it’s easy to move around.The 18″h 4 step was best for my sofa, benches, and chairs. It is a little steep with just under 6″ per tread. With a riser height of 4.5″, most small pets under 10lbs. should do fine with it. I cannot envision a medium sized dog on the steps but maybe a 20-30lb. Maine Coon cat could as they’re more flexible than dogs. Just my opinion as I’ve only had little dogs.ASIN: B0G1M9YFVM

These are lightweight yet sturdy and so soft under foot; perfect size to help her on the couch
Our Chihuahua is getting up there in age, she’ll turn 14 this year. We’ve noticed she can’t quite jump like she used to, especially later in the day. I was curious how well these were going to do coming out of the vacuum sealed bag, but wow! They immediately took form as I was removing the bag. These are the perfect height for our house — our couches sit lower and the stairs basically hit level with the cushion so she can walk right on. We haven’t tried them in the bedroom, because she’s trained us to pick her up at night, but when other people watch her I’m going to make sure to send these with so she always has the option. She’s still figuring out how to use them, but with some treats and guidance she’s making progress. For as lightweight as the stairs are they seem very sturdy. I love the removable cover, so I can keep things clean and tidy, and it feels so soft on the treads. The beige color of both fabrics helps them blend into the couch a little so they aren’t sticking out like a sore thumb. I’m so glad we finally have these to help protect her from nasty spills.

Perfect for my senior dog!
This is a great small set of pet steps to help my 15yr old pug get on the couch to sit with me. My dog has reached the age that jumping up on the couch or bed himself isn’t easy or doable as much. I use these steps to help him get on the couch to sit with me. Makes it easy for him and easier on me so I don’t have to pick him up every time he wants to sit with me when I’m already sitting down. It was packed perfectly and expanded quickly into shape once I removed it from its packaging. It comes with plastic inserts that you can slip into each step to make the step more firm. However, o chose to not use those as it was harder for my dog to use the steps with those in. Overall, this is a nice set of compact steps for any animal especially our senior pets that need a little extra help. I would definitely recommend and happy I have them.
