Just What I Was Looking For!
I purchased this for my 5 month old Aussie puppy whose crate is in my bedroom. His nails on the crate bottom at 3am when he went to move around? Made me insane š So I needed something to cut the noise, but that was also waterproof and ā if even possible, chew-proof (because he was still teething/losing baby teeth as I was searching for this product).UPDATE: this is not chew-proof, so don’t expect it to be.I LOVE this product. It’s exactly what I needed. It’s affordable, it does what I needed it to do.I had previously tried lining his crate with blankets or towels, which he decided seemed great to pee on (which was interesting because he would not pee in his crate if it was just the plain bottom tray ā only if I put something fabric like the towels/blankets) so those were not an option. And I am SO glad I found and tried this product!Not only is this a PERFECT fit for his crate, but it has completely eliminated the noise from his nails, and lives up to its waterproof and machine washable claims! My Aussie pup plays at the community dog park daily and it’s basically a dirt pit. Mix that with the slobber from other dogs and you have a nasty mud-caked pup. So I love that when I’m ready to give him a bath, this can go right in the washing machine (and it fully dried in my cruddy apartment dryer in about 30 minutes on medium heat). I will say it DID smell gross (fishy is the word I’d use) when I washed it. Now whether that was from the dirt-and-slobber that was caked into it or from whatever material makes up the filling, I cannot say. But just something to be mindful of if you’re also sensitive to scents.I have no idea if the chew-proof claim holds up because by some miracle my dog has made no attempt to chew it (though as you can tell in the photo, I leave some of his sturdy, quiet rubber toys in there with him just in case). Hopefully I never find out first-hand how it holds up to chewing.

Nice bed. It’s made of high quality canvas. Was supposed to be nearly impossible to chew, or shred. Welp,, let’s just say, my dog had it ripped to shreds with fluff everywhere within about 20 minutes. So if you have a “power chewer” I would think twice before purchasing.

Their ripstop material does not stop rips
I cannot say if this pad is chewproof as my dog is not a chewer. However, she does paw the bottom of her crate when she wants to exit quickly, for example, at meal times to get to her food bowl or to go outside and play ball. In doing so, she scratches the bottom of the crate. I have used several ripstop crate pads in the past. Even the ones which say they cannot be torn eventually get torn. Nothing lasts forever. That said, most of the ripstop crate pads I have used lasted at least 2 or 3 months. Some longer, but they are not cheap.I saw this and the price was really cheap. It seemed too good to be true. You know the old saying, if it seems to be too good to be true, it probably is. Okay, this pad was cheap and generally you get what you pay for. Needing a replacement and being low on funds, I wanted a stop gap pad to use until I got my paycheck. So I went for this one, thinking it would at least be good for a few weeks after which I could get a more expensive pad. But this pad LASTED LESS THAN ONE DAY, LASTED ONLY A FEW HOURS.My dog, a medium sized German Shepherd female, is not a continuouos crate scratcher but only does so at during those times I mentioned, and then for no more than 10 or 15 seconds. So I was stunned to find this pad torn apart only a few hours after putting it in her crate.Ralph Nader used to say of a car, “unsafe at any speed”…as for this crate pad, I would warn buyers, “not worth it at any price.” Caveat Emptor.

Dog Crate Pad
This crate pad is nice but definitely not chew-proof. The fabric seems pretty heavy and kind of thick. Definitely washable which is great. But my big dog started chewing on it about an hour after we put it in place putting several holes in it right away. I guess nothing fabric is indestructible , but he seems to like it.New Note 11/10/23: Well, I have to give this pad 4 stars instead of 3 now. We’ve had it since September.The dog really seems to like it and likes going to his crate to lie down on it. He hasn’t chewed it since the first week he had it. I have washed it at least a dozen times and it’s held up fine even with some little holes from his chewing. I will be buying another one of these when this one wears out.

Perfect for my service dog when we go places like out to eat. Itās waterproof, and has just enough thickness to be comfortable but still easily rolls up. It also perfectly fits in her crate. I love it!

Haven’t had them for a year yet, probably get washed once a month and they are all disintegrating. I have to throw them out now. They fall apart in the wash and fur does stick to them so they have to be vacuumed and washed.

Mon animal l’a tout de suite adoptĆ©, ce qui est un excellent signe. De plus, il est facile Ć nettoyer, ce qui est un gros plus pour moi. La seule raison pour laquelle je ne donne pas 5 Ć©toiles, c’est que j’aurais aimĆ© qu’il soit un peu plus Ć©pais pour plus de confort. MalgrĆ© cela, je recommande ce tapis Ć tous les propriĆ©taires d’animaux !Mon chien est un Rottweiller de 100 lbs.

When this arrived, it had a weird plastic smell which I hoped would dissipate. It made my dog smell like chemicals. After two washes and being left six weeks to air out, it hasnāt gone away.The dog also chewed into it quite quickly. The material and the stitching are not tough enough to withstand nibbles.For a little more money, you can afford a way better bed.
