Low odor, semi thick viscosity.
I love being able to add fish oil to my dog’s menu. It’s so good for their skin and fur and gives them all those omega 3s they need for overall good health. The bottle was a nice thick plastic, and the pump made for a great addition for easy use. I do wish all the information that was on the box was on the bottle because I’m not gonna hang onto the box, but it’s not world ending that it’s not. What I’m really impressed about the most, is its low odor. I’ve tried fish oils like this in the past and they have stunk up my house. That’s not to say it doesn’t have an odor, it just doesn’t stink like fish.I have three dogs and I do open feeding( No, I don’t have trouble with them over eating).I like to coat their kibble with this oil by putting several cups in a zip lock bag, adding a few ounces of the oil, then shaking it up and then letting it sit so that the kibble can’t absorb the oil. On previous experiences, the heavy fish smell has permeated the feeding area, and has even leaked into other parts of the house. The fact that this oil is low odor is a definite plus in my book.It has a medium viscosity, so it was very easy to coat the kibble with it. Once I placed it in the feeding container, it didn’t get everything all greasy, and the oil seemed to stay mostly on the kibble.Lastly, my dogs really seemed to like it. All three of them immediately went to the dish and tried a few pieces. I was definitely encouraged by this.Of course, this is a nutritional supplement and not medical, so results will vary from pet to pet depending on how much they ingest, and results will not be immediate. I would assume you could start seeing a change in anywhere from 30 to 45 days, and of course continuing to use this on a regular basis it’s going to help maintain those changes. Stopping the product means the changes stop as well. For $20 I think it’s a nice value and it’s definitely going to last me a couple of months at the very least. Consider considering I’m able to treat three dogs. I think this is definitely a great deal.Overall, the reasonable pricing, the low odor, medium viscosity, and attractiveness to my dogs, makes this a product I would be happy to get again. I definitely recommend.

A ridiculously nutritious fish oil suppplement that can last years
My cat is getting older and I’m concerned that she will begin to show the inevitable signs of aging, like a less well maintained fur, arthritis, weight loss, cloudy eyes, changes, etc so I’m trying to gradually introduce bits of extra nutritious supplements into her diet like this fish oil. The guaranteed analysis says it contains a minimum of 98% crude fat, 9% EPA (an omega 3 fatty acid), 5% DHA (another type of omega 3 fatty acid), and finally 9% Omega 3 fatty acids (I assume this is a blend of all except for EPA and DHA).This stuff seems extremely nutritious, the label recommends half a pump for a pet under 16lb, and 1 pump for a cat or dog witin 16-20lb. It doesn’t specify but my guess is they mean per day. Cats and dogs generally need 20-35 calories per day for each pound of weight; as an example my 10lb cat should require anywhere between 200 to 350 calories/day. The label for this oil indicates there are 8610 calories per 1 pump. A half pump therefore would be ~4300 calories; even a single half pump per week would translate to about 600 calories per day, which is twice of my 10# cat’s recommended caloric intake. Therefore I think this oil should be fed extremely sparingly to small animals — personally I am just going to mix a few drops into my cat’s kibble. The value for this seems pretty difficult to beat. There are smaller bottles of fish oil meant for humans which cost over $50; and this particular brand of fish oil for pets is about average when measuring the $ per fl oz. Because this oil is so caloric, I expect it to last a really long time. Even at 1/2 pump per day which is WAY too much, the 16oz bottle would last about 14 months. At the much more realistic rate of 1/2 a pump per week, the bottle should last about 9 years. Guess I’m going to need more cats!

Our mildly picky pup won’t eat it.
My dog did not like this, and wouldn’t eat it. That was definitely disappointing because it looks like it has a bunch of great stuff in it.I was also appreciative of the convenience of the pump bottle; a lot of other dog vitamins and supplements come in dropper bottles and those require two hands to use.We tried this first when she was about 12 weeks old and then again recently at 21 weeks old and it’s still “no”.”

Great supplements for my dogs plus super easy to useto use in store
I’m super excited to have this fish oil for our dogs. One of our dogs, the Border Collie mix, sometimes has dry skin along his back. This fish oil is supposed to help with his skin quality, targeting the dry skin and itchiness. This supplement is easy to use, it comes with a pump to dispense the fish oil into their food. The fish oil is easy to use, and the dogs don’t have any issues with it. I’m using it daily, however I haven’t been using it long enough to comment on how well the fish oil works. But, if this fish oil is anything like other fish oils, it’ll be great for his coat and skin.I really like the container that this oil came in, it’s easy to store and easy to dispense. It’s a lot more convenient than pouring from a bottle into a spoon.I highly recommend this product, it’s definitely worth the cost for a high quality product and the convenience of using it.
