Cute Little Camera with Great Performance
This camera is smaller than I expected, which actually makes it really convenient and kind of adorable. The setup was quick and straightforward, and it was ready to use in just a few minutes. The image quality is impressive, producing clear and sharp pictures that exceeded my expectations for such a compact device. Huge upgrade from the old school Foscam!
This camera is money! It is very easy to connect. Need to have an account on Foscam and download the app then it’s mostly plug and play. The camera takes about 3-5 minutes to connect the first time and then works like a charm. Even unplugging it and plugging back in in another setting connects it right in.The images in the daytime are clear, super HD, and live. There is no leg. It is real time picture.Nigh vision is also pretty great.You can also two-way talk on it, so you can both hear what’s happening and they can hear you speaking. Really great function.It’s wifi, so you can check the image from anywhere you have connection. There is also motion sensor, which pings the app everytime a human is detected (can be disabled).And…you get 2 cameras in the same box! What?!This is defiantly a great deal. Highly recommended.

okay camera but image is lacking
Product being reviewed: FOSCAM 3K 5MP Security Camera Indoor/Outdoor, 2.4g & 5g WiFi Magnetic Mini Dog/Cat/Pet/Baby Camera, Smart Motion Detection, 20X Zoom, 2-Way Audio, Night Vision, Home Monitor Work with Alexa & GoogleThis is the Foscam C5M. I’ve had Foscam cameras before and they’re usually okay. I tend to prefer other brands, but I wanted to give this one a chance because it has an ethernet port. I have great WiFi, but I want my security cameras to be PoE or at least ethernet so the connection is more reliable and there won’t be interference issues.The setup on this camera is a little disappointing. There is a landing page if you go to the IP address of the camera, but it says it’s disabled for security and you have to either use their mobile app or the Windows app. I chose to use the mobile app, which is okay but not great. It said there was a firmware update, I chose to do it, then it froze at 5%. I closed the app and reopened it and it then said it was up to date even though the version was the same. It also makes it seem like you have to provide your WiFi credentials, but you don’t if you have ethernet.I run Blue Iris, so I enabled ONVIF in the app, then was able to find it with my BI server with relative ease. To be clear, even though the Amazon listing doesn’t state it, this camera does support ONVIF and RTSP. I changed the camera name and password in the app. After connecting it to BI, I also blocked it in my router from accessing the internet for security purposes.The style of this camera is similar to those from Tapo. The Foscam is larger and the stand is less secure in my opinion- more likely to tip over. It has a magnetic base in case you have a metal object you want to mount it to and feels secure enough to trust it.Image quality is a little disappointing. With it claiming 5MP, I was hoping for better clarity than it provides. I guess that may come down to the specific sensor Foscam used being a cheaper one. With WDR off, the image is too dark, and with WDR on, the image is too bright. There is also a lack of detail on the image that shouldn’t be the case. I don’t know if it’s going to replace the Tapo camera I already have since the Foscam image quality is slightly worse.Overall, this is an okay camera. It’s nice to have ethernet but the sensor quality is lacking in my opinion. But depending on what you have to compare it to, you may notice an improvement. The price is also higher than the competition, so take that into consideration too.

Great little camera!!
When first opening the box for this camera, all I could say was “This is the cutest little camera!”Inside the box were the camera, a power cord, a network cable, and mounting hardware. Like all Foscam cameras (I think I have 16 now), instructions were included, but completely unnecessary. Simply Install the Foscam app, add a new camera, plug in the camera, wait for the Wi-Fi to connect, and point your camera at the QR code, and it’s up and running in about 2 minutes.The resolution is excellent and this camera is small enough to put almost anywhere for monitoring. You can mount it by simply setting it on a flat surface, it has a magnetic base that can be used to attach it to a surface (either horizontal or vertical) or you can twist off the base to get to the two holes and mount it using the included hardware.As I already had the Foscam app on my phone, the camera simply showed up at the top of my camera listing and I could then go in and modify its settings to suit my purposes.There’s a micro-SD slot if you want to record locally, or you can opt for one of the cloud recording packages.Technical support, if needed, is available by email, and their response time is almost always under 24 hours and they are extremely helpful and focused on customer satisfaction.Like every other Foscam camera I have, this is a great product and well worth the cost.I wouldn’t buy any other brand of camera and have been using Foscam exclusively for almost 10 years.

Great Camera, Easy to setup
I have a subscription for the cloud recording with the AI detection and it works really well at distinguishing between Adults, animals and my children and alerts me accordingly. It also has sound detection as well as motion detection and was easy to setup and use. I use an sd card as well as wifi for this camera and had no problem setting up with my network. Overall this camera was worth buying for sure.
