Customers say
Customers find the dog training collar effective for training and appreciate its vibration level, with one noting it works well for highly reactive dogs. However, the collar’s functionality receives mixed feedback, with some saying it works well while others report it stops working. Moreover, the battery life is problematic as it quits taking a charge, and durability is concerning as it breaks quickly. Additionally, opinions on quality and value for money are mixed, with some considering it an excellent product while others view it as a waste of money.

Great Product Great Service With A Learning Curve
We think Ori is a Terrier Border Collie Mix between 1-2 years old. Ori was found on the Blue Ridge Parkway wandering aimlessly around the various rest areas in and out of traffic. It was apparent he had been there for some time. He was filthy with mangy fur, parasites, no collar and skittish when approached. Our friends visiting the area spent several hours trying to capture him. They couldn’t keep him initially so we volunteered. There was no ID chip and after advertising for weeks with no one claiming him we adopted him. He lived by his wits and shows us everyday how he hunts moles and squirrels or even chasing our chickens to play “I caught you. I win.”, but never hurts them. Yes we feed him lots of eggs with his chow. He is gentle and craves affection which he gets in buckets, but determined he will run to find whatever including we fear coyotes, barb wire, automobiles and chews everything in sight especially plastic. We train with rewards, however he has 4 four traits or habits that have proven almost impossible to correct or get his attention. Then we purchased Free Spirit. For us it was a God send. There is a BIG learning curve. Think it’s like check list to be sure the device will do what you want when you need it to work on the spot. Learn before you ever zap a dog.!! One item ignored or forgotten and at the moment you need it, nothing happens. We started slow and the noise and vibrate got some attention, Ori only learns in the school of hard knocks. We shock at the lowest possible number which for him is 21. I barely feel it at 15. He has plenty of time to respond to us before we use it. When we do his reaction is barely noticeable other than he stops and looks at us. That it is moment you want and “et viola la miracle”. We know it will take months, but we are determined that a dog considered impossible to train will be a pleasure to have around and getting all raves from visitors. $35 is not expensive and I don’t expect Mercedes quality. We had a problem with the collar receiver staying charged. We contacted Amazon and a new one arrived in 2 days for great response by the supplier. Again it’s takes time, but there are a lot of things about the device you learn by just observing how it charges, when you know it’s charged, when the collar is active, always feel it vibrate before training time as the last item on the check list. Only one video is allowed so I show how Oro responded to a shock when called and he ignoring me totally. The video quality is poor, but good enough to show how it works in a humane manner and we get a dog we love to be part of our family with a good life for him rather than a lonely death all alone on his own. Good Luck.

Great results
Our rescue dog would not come when called or respond to “NO” commands 90% of the time. I used the shock setting on my arm to test strength. She is 25 lbs. I set it on setting 20 as that felt like a decent sting on my arm. The 1st time she was running off towards other people barking I gave it a zap. She stopped in her tracks, shook her dead and came back. I then used the vibrate function 90% of the time for a couple days. Now she listens and hikes off the leash, comes when called and stops when told “NO”.The dogs clearly need to know commands before using this. It just helps them respond to commands that they already understand but choose not to 🙂

Vibration and shock seem very weak
2-month update:The collar doesn’t work at all. Fully charged, there is NO detectable sound or vibration, much less shock. I have a secondary collar for this unit, and I can’t even get that one to turn on. Money completely wasted.Original:I use this on my Shepherd to try and curb bad behavior like digging and trying to escape the yard. She is SUPER sensitive, so I generally only use beeping collars with her, but this one the beep is very weak. It only beeps one time and the volume is pretty low, and you cannot adjust it at all. The vibration seems okay, but pretty sure it is not adjustable either, as I’ve tested it on myself and felt no difference between 20 and 70 (it goes to 99). The shock, which I almost NEVER use, seems pretty non-existent, even at the higher levels. I use the beep or the vibration, and that is normally enough to curb behavior. However, I would like the option of a shock that actually works for dangerous situations, to really get my point across. This unit works but it would be much better if it beeped louder and more than once, and if the vibration was adjustable, but if you want/need the shock feature, look somewhere else.

Effective dog trainer even at considerable distance.
Easy to use and effective trainer. More than enough levels of sting, never needed any level higher than “20.” Great majority of time the vibrate level works effectively for correction. Only downside to collar is that it is fairly easy to trigger unintentionally so it should always be carried in your pockrt off the “sting” level and therefore not always quick enough to respond to negative behavior.

The greatest training tool for our dog!
This was the third training collar we tried for our very energetic and vociferous Golden Retriever. The first two were sensor-types, and they were simply unreliable. They went off when they shouldn’t have, and didn’t deploy when they should have. This remote training collar has been a godsend! Our dog only usually needs only the beep to correct his behavior! Occasionally we have used the vibration if he’s particularly willful, but we’ve never used the shock at all. He’s to the point that we just show him the remote and he corrects himself! I love that it works from a distance – I can watch him from across the yard and prevent his bad behaviors rremotely. We’ve even used it during the night to train him not to bark when he needs attention This collar has helped us tremendously and I am so glad we found it. I totally recommend it.

This isn’t water resistant
I like this device and order it the second time because my dog lost the first one. The collar works well as far as the device commands, but this isn’t water-resistant. I gave my dog a bath, which he didn’t emerge directly in the water. Well, the collar no longer functions at all. I thought after a few days of drying that it would power up, but it never did. Good buy, just don’t get it wet. I suggest that when you purchase an e-collar, test drive it to the fullest before the exploration date.

Works very well
ive used this type of electrical collar for my dogs for the past couple of years and recently just bought another because i lost the remote, works really well and my dogs respond very well to all three of the settings. would highly recommend for training highly reactive dogs!!

This collar is a good collar as long as you know how to use them. My issue is the stim button is the same shape as the rest so if you take your hand off it is very easy to change the settings of the collar and over stim your dog. I had my setting at 10 and when I looked at it out of my pocket it was at 32 and on the other dog setting thankfully. Good value for what you’re buying but many defects that in the wrong hands could do harm to your dog.

Love it for our dog. Have never used the shock option. The vibrate option we have used once or twice maybe and it was on low number (10). Only because he was about to go towards other dogs close to our property line & we weren’t sure what he would do as he was attacked on our property by a dog. We walked our dog along our property with the beep motion to teach him his boundaries. (We own a corner lot in town, busy subdivision) Now when he gets close we beep he knows he is at his boundary and comes away from it. Or just avoids the boundary’s area. We have a 60lb English French bulldog. Bought one for my mom’s dog also who is a Bernese poodle mix. She listens on the beep. She is a hyper dog. Have had to try more vibrates with her, & because of her thick fur she doesn’t feel the vibrate. Beeps work best for her, they drive her nuts & she listens right away.Hope this helps.

J’ai acheter 2 colliers. La durée de vie de la batterie n’est pas à tout casser alors quand arrive le temps de les recharger, c’est épouvantablement long.
