How do I choose the right fence height for my dog?
FXW fences come in 24″, 32″, 40″, 45″, and 50″ heights. Choose based on your dog’s shoulder height — the fence should be at least 10″ taller. For example, 24″ for dogs up to 14″ tall. For jumpy or active dogs, go one size higher for safety.
Can I buy extra panels, gates, or stakes if I need more?
Yes! FXW offers additional panels, gates, and stakes that can be purchased separately. You can easily find them by searching for “FXW panels/gates/ stake” or by visiting the FXW brand store.
Can I connect two sets together to make a larger play area?
Yes. FXW playpens from the same series, even in different sizes, can be easily connected to create a larger or differently shaped space. For better stability, we recommend connecting playpens of the same height (for example, two 32″ sets).
Can I connect different series or types of playpens together?
Different FXW playpen series have slightly different connection designs. Please contact FXW team to confirm compatibility before connecting different series.
Can I use the playpen as a room divider or to block off an area?
Yes! Use the FXW playpen as a room divider or safety barrier with FXW Fence-to-Wall Anchor (sold separately). They secure panels to walls or doorways for a sturdy setup and let you extend the playpen to fit your space.

Sturdy Construction, Easy to quickly put up and take down as needed
We have always crate trained our puppies. However before we brought the last two home, at 2 months old, my husband & I attended a dog product show at our local farmers market and a breeder of French Bulldogs was there and her puppies were confined in this pen. We thought this would be a great solution to secure our new puppies whenever we would need to leave them unattended, rather than in a crate.This product is built very well, folds away easily for storage when not in use, and keeps our puppies safe and prevents them from biting inappropriate objects, like our couch pillows or baseboards or cords plugged into an outlet. Very functional and large enough that we were able to place a large Bowser Donut Bed inside this crate with plenty of room to spare for them to play outside of that bed. Highly recommend this as an alternative to using a crate because every crate we previously purchased we had to give away due to lack of storage space. This crate easily folds up compactly making it easy to store for future use.If using this indoors on tile or wood floors I highly recommend also buying the FXW Floor protectors & muffler tubes to protect your floors from scratches & to muffle the noise from the crate when the dogs play and bang into it. We found it to be such a great alternate solution we bought a second one, sans mufflers & floor protectors to use outside in our yard so they could play in the sunshine & nice weather without having to worry about them getting out of our yard as they were still small enough to fit through the bars of our fence.We also recommend purchasing the carry straps and handle to secure the crate when folding it up for ease in carrying to store. All around excellent product. We still use this product to contain them when our pest control service is out every two months to treat the inside of our house so our puppies are not anywhere near the product being sprayed which is pet safe after it drys. Takes seconds to put up and take down afterward. Highly recommend all of these FXW superior products.

Easy to set up & take down, durable
Greatest playpen ever! I read all the reviews about how easy it is to put up and take down and move and it’s all true. This is sooooo much easier than those pop up metal ones. You can move it to charger configuration you want, sets up in literally less than one minute. We use it for our foster events and it’s easy to fit in the car, the pull cart, and just sets up simply and fast. It’s durable and can be dropped and stepped on (by human error) and it doesn’t break. Ended up buying another one for bigger space too. So glad I got it. 100% recommend!!!

Ideal motorhome yard for small dog
Pen works great. We live in a motorhome during winter and have a 7 lb chihuahua mix. This fence is the perfect height, easy to construct, and very high quality without being overly heavy. Wish I’d known about this years ago as it would’ve made the ideal traveling exercise pen for rabbits as well.

***UPDATE***I am updating this review and changing from 1 star to 4 stars. This seller was very responsive to my complaints about this fence and offered to replace the entire fence due to the scratches and bent pieces. (they contacted me!) I asked to get just the 2 bent pieces replaced and I received those when expected. There is a 1 year rust warrenty so I am going to hold on and see if there is rusting in these scratched places.In the meantime I installed the fence and found it stable enough for my puppy and easy to configure, and reconfigure as needed. After I received the 2 replacement panels, and found them to be what I expected originally, I decided to order a second set of panels (16 panels). Plus the fence was working well but a little small area-wise for my pup.The second set of panels arrived when expected, and were better packed than the original set. I’m not sure what happened with the first set, but the second set packaging was very nicely done. No scratches, no bent pieces, and very tightly packed which I think prevented some of the damage with the first set. Also, both these orders came via Fedex which is a shipper known to do poor deliveries in this area. Many times late deliveries, wrong addresses, leaving packages at the road instead of the porch, and damaged packages. (One time several years ago a fedex driver threw a printer, in the box, up onto my front porch and the thing rolled like a dice up in front of the door. The printer was well packaged, and ok, but damn….) In the case of this fencing, the first box was all beat up, the second box had damage to 2 corners but overall much better shape. Since it came in a more timely manner Fedex had less time to beat the thing around their warehouses I assume.So, I DO recommend this fence now and I found it worthy of the price as well. The seller is very responsive and the fence is easy to assemble and fairly sturdy for small dogs that don’t jump against it. The posts go deep enough into the ground to keep things stable. I got 2 gates with each 16 panel set and the gates open easily and have nice latches that lock instantly when closed. Had the first set arrived in the same condition as the second set I never would have complained.Finally, I should have updated this review sooner but I wanted to check out the fence for a bit, and it has been a very busy month or so. Also, I had a problem on the Amazon website finding my review so that I could edit it. It would be nice if there was a button in the order area to just click to go to my review to edit.***ORIGINAL***I just received and unpacked my metal portable dog pen and am so disappointed. One piece is bent in several places and is missing an end cap, and scratched extensively on both sides. Eleven other pieces have some manner of scratches through the paint on one or both sides.I intended to use this outside pretty frequently and I expect to see rust beginning tomorrow. I have not put it together yet so I’ll share an update if there are problems with that as well. For the price I paid for this 16 piece fence I expected better than this.I have not tried to contact the seller yet but am going to look for that process in just a bit.So, I don’t recommend this fence. I purchase quite a few things from Amazon but am rarely disappointed like this. The delivery was slow, (days late), the paint quality is poor, and of course the bent panel (perhaps due to shipping?). I chose this product due to the reviews, but that is not my experience.

Very easy to set up. Sturdy enough for supervised play. Great value for money. Perfect fit our one year old, 70 lb lab as a potty area on uneven ground and clay type soil. Already ordered a couple more panels!

Purchased this for camping with our two Frenchie’s. Worked out perfect. No more ropes knocking over tables, spilling drinks getting tangled and tripping people. Relaxation has increased 10-fold. They run around free, and I can tell they enjoy the trip much more now. We put the rectangle area in front of the door of the trailer. They can come in and out as they please and we can just sit back and relax and enjoy the trip.
