Useful within 10ft of an outlet
These cameras are easy enough to set up, with some quirks. If I hadn’t linked to the app using the QR code in the instruction booklet, I might have thought I downloaded the wrong version. In the set up process, so many of the details in the set up menu and process were not as the instructions described. For example, the instructions says to select “Wifi Camera”, which there is no option for. There was another option that seemed to be an alternative description (I can’t remember what is was now), which turned out to be correct. This happened two or three times with different items. Also, it says the camera will flash blue lights, which it flashes white lights and then there are red ones, but no blue. I continue to struggle to navigate the menus.The cameras have to be plugged in to function, and each comes with a 10ft long USB to USB-C cord. There are also two cubes included, which is rare anymore, so I appreciate that. The image looks pretty good, especially given that it is looking through a window screen. I’ve hung one of the cameras from the window frame above my kitchen sink angled out at the front walk. The camera has a magnet built into the base and I’ve attached it using the included stick-on metal plate, which is sticking well to the window frame so far. I’ve gotten “motion detected” notices a few times from the wind blowing the trees in my yard. After making some adjustments to the detection area, I seem to be getting fewer false alarms.All in all, I think these cameras are fair for the price. They are fairly low pixel images, so while they’ll let you know if someone has approached your house, it’s no guarantee that strangers would be easily identified from the photos. There is an option to schedule a light to come on, so at night there could be a light shining in the area where the camera points. I don’t have Alexa or Google home, so I can’t speak to the smart home features. The cameras can be swiveled in a lot of directions and there is a setting to flip the image if they need to be hung upside down.

Cameras didn’t last long before malfunctioning!
The cameras worked just fine at first. However, the cameras now “clicks” all day long and with each click the security light flashes on and off. I have all the settings turned off so the light should never come on, but the cameras seem to have a mind of their own. I would not recommend these as having the light flash on and off all day is a huge annoyance. And of course this didn’t start until after the return window. Would love for the seller to replace these with cameras that actually work normally.

…which really, is what we should be doing with most all our purchases. But with these, I would have to recommend passing the purchase button up.First, I would hardly say these are “Outdoor” cameras. They need to be plugged in and, if you’re security conscious & not just wanting to watch you dogs frolic in the backyard, you would see the issue w/ a burglar being able to just walk up and unplug your camera.Aside from that, the connectivity issues are annoying. Working to get them paired (& STAY paired) was annoying.Needless to say, we did not continue using these. I am convinced that there are better, affordable options on the market.

Geenie Camera. You get what you pay for.
I have strong wifi with extenders in two places around my home, but this little camera will not pick up the signal if it is one small room away from the router. I can only use it in the same room as the wifi which is not at all the place I bought this for. The picture quality is great though.

The Best Mini Cam Security System
The first thing i love about this set is the price and how affordable this security set is for the average person or family. it’s super easy to setup because of the magnetic base which is how i set mine up. It’s small enough to not be seen by intruders which is a plus as well. Everything is controlled through the geeni app which is about a easy as it can get. You always have a great connection and it has motion alerts and the picture quality is fantastic both during the day and night. So the overall function is amazing especially since it has 2 easy audio for effortless communication. This is the perfect security system for anyone to protect their home or apartment and i couldn’t recommend this set enough.
