Picky chihuahua approved!
Mom is almost as picky as her boy- he wants taste, I want him to have a nutritious, species appropriate food from an ethical brand. I’ve fed my Great Dane and Neapolitan Mastiffs Petcurean food for years and it’s proven to be a great choice for them. I was really happy to find they’d released a wet stew type food. I think my little guy was even happier when it hit his bowl. He was digging in before I was even done filling his bowl! The quality is what I’ve come to expect from the company, it smells like chicken rather than some kind of vile concoction like a lot of wet foods do. It clearly tastes good to my boy and he feels good after eating. I’ve tried a huge variety of foods for him and while he tends to eat well the first helping, he turns his nose up after a day or two, which makes me wonder if they upset his tummy. That hasn’t happened with this food. He’s eager to eat night after night!Yes, this food is pricey. But with these little ones, especially in their senior years, if you don’t invest in good quality food you’ll likely spend much more at the vet.

Very deceiving.
You think you’re getting a much larger box that you are – don’t be fooled by the weight. The box is tiny, maybe 4 inches tall, less than that in length, and MAYBE 1.5 inches wide. I buy cans of wet food that have the same weight value, and I split one can into two meals for my toy sized pomchis. Takes them much longer to eat than this stuff, they definitely get a lot more meat in the cans I usually buy. This one was 75 percent gravy with tiny shreds of meat in it and they ate the WHOLE box in one meal, which still took them roughly 1 minute to scarf down. I know it’s very healthy and it does look and smell like good quality, but the price is too high for how little you get. Its too bad because they absolutely LOVED it while it lasted. If the boxes were bigger or the price smaller it would be more worth it. As it is, this is great for people who have lots of money to spend – the average person, ehhhh. I’ll buy it once in a blue moon as a special treat and that’s it.

I was excited to get this box Once I got it: The directions said 11/2-2 boxes per 15 lbs dog??? So, its not even enough to feed my chi-weenie a full meal?? Did I miss something? No wonder it was reduced so much. 😑
