Coming home to pet messes is not how anyone likes to unwind after a long day, which is why we set out to create the ultimate dog pad. Hartz Home Protection dog pads make clean-up simpler, make replacement and disposal easy, and protect flooring from unpleasant accidents. Excellent for dogs living in homes with limited access to the outdoors, senior pups with restricted movement, puppies in training or sick dogs, Home Protection has you covered at every corner. Our absorption experts analyzed urine distribution and designed a pad with 6 layers, containing our Flash-Dry technology which creates a smaller urine spot and allows for multiple uses per pad. When nature calls, Home Protection instantly turns urine into gel to reduce tracking, making clean up a breeze. A water-proof plastic backing and borders ensure our pads won’t leak. The special odor harmonizing capability within all our unscented dog pads eliminates stinky smells left behind, turning eww to phew.
WON’T LEAK: Each pee pad has unique FlashDry Technology, which instantly turns liquid into GEL to prevent messy leaks.

Customers say

Customers find these incontinence pads work well, particularly with sick cats and Australian Cattle Dog puppies, and are suitable for both dogs and cats. The absorbency and leak-proof properties receive mixed feedback – while some praise their great absorbency, others find them almost non-absorbent, and while some say they don’t leak through, others report leakage issues. The quality, size, and value for money are also mixed aspects, with some finding them good quality and worth the price, while others consider them poor quality and a waste of money. The thickness receives negative feedback, with customers describing them as very thin.

    Perfect pad for my dog.
I have tried several different pee pads for my dog, and these are the best. When my dog uses a pee pad, the pee runs off and on to the concrete since I use them in my garage. Because these are gel pads, the pee stays in once place. So happy I found these, and now my dogs feet stay cleaner, and she doesn’t track the pee everywhere from her feet. Definitely recommend

    Best brand on the market
This brand, either scented or unscented has proven to be the best in terms of absorbency and length of time it can last. Most cheaper pads are done with just one or two uses because the liquid spreads so far. These keep the liquid in a small area and keep your floor protected from damage. These are a few bucks more but are well worth it. They last 5x longer and you use so many less. These pads do a good job at keeping liquid on the pad and not underneath it when your pet doesn’t have perfect aim and gets too close to the edge of the pad. Sometimes it still happens and there’s some cleanup, but 95% of the time you are well protected. Dogs who have to be left inside during the day can use these until parents come home to let them out. Great for overnight emergencies, when your pet is sick and is going frequently, or for senior dogs who struggle with mobility issues. All 3 of my chihuahuas were easily trained to use these when we are unavailable to take them outside. We also had a senior dachshund who used them and she did well with them too. These pads are easily to pack for trip’s and they fit in small storage spaces whilst still providing adequate space for your babies to go potty. I use multiple of these at once and overlap the pads so there are no leaks since we have 3 dogs who use them sometimes. These are the only pads we’ve bought over the past 10 years or so and I tried about 10 brands that were no match to these. Buy with confidence!

    Smaller dog pads
These pads are a good value. The plastic underside protects floor well.

The fibers gave my Long Haired dog belly dreads
My long-haired dachshund started getting little dreads on her belly after we started using these, took me a while to figure out but I finally realized that the fibers in this paper causes tiny little dreads, so I’ve gone back to my old cheaper brand, which I have to double up but it’s worth it in saving her the trauma of dealing with the dreads. Also they are a bit small. 21ā€X21ā€ is an inch smaller on all sides than most papers, so my pup just barely managed to stay within the paper. I kind of regret buying 2 packs but Amazon delivers them right to my 2 story walk up, so I’m sure Cozy will adjust. She’s a good girl. There is absolutely no sign of ā€œgellingā€ so I still layer 2 papers on a sheet of heavy plastic runner. I will say that the P doesn’t run over the sides so maybe they do have better absorbency. Just wish they were a bit bigger. If you have a short haired dog it shouldn’t be any problem, and they are pretty absorbent and the paper is kind of soft and fuzzy. Would not recommend for long haired dogs.

    Perfect!
We use these pads under artificial grass that has holes for drainage and it is perfect! Toby never got used to going on the pad directly but we think eventually he might get the association of the grass and the pad under it and will just use the pad directly. However for right now, this solves all the problems. The pad absorbs quickly and efficiently, it has no smell, and we love it!

    Very happy
I have been buying the AKC pads for my four small dogs for 6 years. I have bought (to my horror) several hundred boxes of the pads according to the Amazon history. I thought using pee pads would be a great idea because I work long hours and I had planned to eventually downsize to a condo. Worst decision ever. I now have dogs that refuse to pee on grass, and I’ve never downsized. But I digress…Amazon has been out of the AKC brand so I decided to give this brand a try. When I pulled them out I laughed at the pathetically thin pads that look like tissue paper. Well the joke is on me. My dogs have put these pads to the test and not once have any of the pads leaked onto the tile. The AKC pads look far superior but the pee takes longer to soak in which can sometimes lead to urine leaking off the pads. This has not happened with the Hartz pads. I really can’t believe it. I didn’t think something this thin could soak up pee.Because the pads are thin, I have used them on my Swiffer XL to mop up water spills in my mud room. The XL pads are pricey but I don’t use it often so these pads are a great substitute for a quick mop up. They don’t tear apart which tells me the pads are stronger than they look. The dogs don’t seem to care which brand I use. They go to the ā€œpad spotā€ and use anything laying there. If your dog is picky or wary of noises, these pads do make a little sound like tissue paper when they are walked on. It’s a slight noise…not enough to make them mistake the pads as something to destroy. I have one dog that just loves toys with a crinkle sound so was a bit worried but she hasn’t tried to shred them.I may continue using this brand even though the price is slightly higher than the $23 I was paying for 150 AKC pads. The fast absorbency has so far surpassed the two brands I tried other than AKC (Amazon basics and Wee). Also note: The AKC 100 package are not the same quality as the AKC 150 pads in a box. They are awful. I might as well let the dogs pee on the tile and mop it up. Do not buy the AKC 100 unless you are trying to ruin your floors!

Not absorbent and do not gel as promised
These pads are useless and a waste of money. After using regular pee pads successfully for overnight but occasionally having them overloaded or leak over the edge, I saw these and thought they would be perfect since the gel would keep the urine from running over the edge. Ha! Not only do these not gel for large amounts of urine, the urine just runs off the pad on to the floor. Going back to the regular ones

Unvented version of this product used to be super good and affordable in the past. With the coming of scented lilac colour versions and Covid the product became less in quality and more in cost. I still prefer the unscented version to other brand names and although it is very very expensive I buy it. It absorbs better than other brand names. It absorbs better than the same brand with scents.. I wish you have not changed the quality. It tarnishes the brand name of the product. For as long as it doesn’t get worse or more expansive I still will buy it. Please keep it more affordable. Thank you.

They are good but surely not as premium as advertised. I tried this set since our dog has the tendency to pie in a way that makes a mess on the side. They do not absorb more then the cheaper brand based on my experience.
