WORKS GREAT for training . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This was the first time I ever used a ” pinch collar”. I have and 80 lb German Shepherd at 11 months old. I watched some training videos on youtube and seen professional trainers using this exact collar . So i bought it. What a game changer. Put it on my wild boy GSD to help with heel and not pulling while on a walk. A simple quick jerk with redirection and he is right beside me. I 100% recommend this collar. It is well made and very durable. Durability:VERY WELL MADEEase of removal:squeeze the link together and remove. ( watch a youtube video)Adjustability:Fits multiple size dogs just by removing links.

Great training collar.
Great quality, instantly made walking my German Shepherd puppy 90% easier than a flat collar. Needed a lot less leash pressure to guide my puppy on where to go and is much gentler on his neck than a flat collar.

This collar is LIFE CHANGING!!
Hella long review but walk with me, haha. 🐶I have hypermobile EDS and my joints ache severely every time after taking my dogs out or for a walk.We have a Border Collie mix and a Husky, they both pull but the Husky pulls to the point where I straight up can’t deal with him on the leash. We tried everything: treats, clickers, shorter leashes, and gentle leaders. The gentle leader worked until the Husky figured out he could just turn around and pull, which made going out a long process full of constant corrections and redirection. My boyfriend had graciously started solely taking them out so I’m not in pain, but I didn’t want to put that all on him or miss out on my babies having fun outside.I figured we had exhausted all options and this was just how life would be with our dogs, but after the Husky slipped out of his gentle leader on Halloween and made a run for it dressed up as a hot dog, I knew I needed to figured something out fast! After hours of searching and comparing, I decided to give this collar a try and when it showed up, my boyfriend thought I bought a torture device and honestly I was a little worried about it too.I took them out just ONE TIME to go potty, and it was MAGICAL!! Our Husky boy STOPPED PULLING!!! Even after getting the collar on him, he didn’t fuss around! The sizing chart and directions are very accurate: we measured his neck at 18” and added 2”. The 20” collar was perfect fit right out of the package, but can be easily adjusted by removing or adding links. The prongs on the links can be a little tricky at first, but get easier with use. As long as you have a little grip strength, it’s not that difficult to pop off/on. Other reviewers said to get the additional quick release thing, which I agree would be better in the long run if you have issues with hand strength, joint pain, or mobility. The chain, rings, and links feel very durable and there is no smell. I like that it’s just metal, so much easier to keep clean!I took them for a walk the next day and he did so good on the leash, no pulling or choking himself and no coughing!! 😭 I felt like it made him more aware of commands, he looked happy and confident for the first time!I was so impressed by this collar’s ability to distribute the pressure of him pulling without harming him that I returned the martingale collar we got for our other dog because she was coughing from pulling on the leash during our walk and buying her this one instead!!

Great collar for medium-large dog, get the Cliclock Fastener too
This is the perfect size prong (3.0mm) training collar for my 52 pound Goldendoodle. The quality is excellent, the prongs are rounded not sharp and the links move freely. The 3.0mm prong size was not offered with the Herm Sprenger Cliclock Fastener which I wanted so I ordered that separately. It was easy to install and made putting on and taking off this collar very easy. I love the Herm Sprenger quality and design of the collar but I really couldn’t use it without the Cliclock fastener. It would be just too difficult for my senior hands to open and close it using the prongs. I definitely recommend this collar but I would order the Cliclock Fastener too.

Remarkably Effective Training Tool: Herm Sprenger Micro-Prong Collar Review
The Herm Sprenger Micro-Prong Collar has proven to be an invaluable training aid in transforming my dog’s behavior with incredible effectiveness. While prong collars may raise questions for some, my experience with the Herm Sprenger Micro-Prong Collar has been overwhelmingly positive, resulting in improved control, communication, and ultimately a happier and well-behaved canine companion. From the outset, I was initially skeptical about using a prong collar due to concerns about discomfort or potential harm to my dog. However, my research led me to the Herm Sprenger brand, known for their quality craftsmanship and focus on dog safety. I decided to give their Micro-Prong Collar a try, and the results have been nothing short of remarkable. One of the standout features of this collar is its thoughtful design. The “micro” prong links are finely crafted and rounded, reducing the likelihood of discomfort or injury to my dog’s skin. Additionally, the evenly distributed pressure from the prongs prevents the sharp “jabbing” sensation that some traditional prong collars might produce. The effectiveness of the Herm Sprenger Micro-Prong Collar lies in its ability to provide clear and immediate feedback to my dog during training. The gentle pressure applied through the prongs mimics the natural communication dogs use with each other, facilitating a deeper understanding of commands and desired behaviors. This has been particularly beneficial for dogs that tend to pull or exhibit stubborn behavior during walks.Training sessions have become significantly more productive and efficient thanks to the precise control offered by this collar. My dog’s responsiveness to commands has increased, resulting in a safer and more enjoyable experience for both of us during walks and other activities. One concern often raised about prong collars is the potential for misuse or harm. However, the Herm Sprenger Micro-Prong Collar comes with detailed instructions on proper fitting and usage. When used correctly, the collar should sit high on the dog’s neck and should never be used for prolonged periods. I appreciate the manufacturer’s emphasis on responsible use and training techniques. In terms of build quality, the Herm Sprenger Micro-Prong Collar is second to none. The stainless steel construction not only ensures durability but also minimizes the risk of rust or corrosion, even in wet or humid conditions. In conclusion, the Herm Sprenger Micro-Prong Collar has exceeded my expectations in terms of effectiveness and training outcomes. While prong collars may not be suitable for all dogs or owners, this collar stands out as a well-designed, humane, and reliable tool for those seeking improved control and communication during training. With its focus on safety, craftsmanship, and responsible use, the Herm Sprenger Micro-Prong Collar has earned a solid 5 out of 5 stars. If you’re in search of a training aid that can make a positive impact on your dog’s behavior, this collar is certainly worth considering.Pros:Effective and immediate feedback during trainingThoughtfully designed micro prong links for dog comfortHigh-quality stainless steel constructionClear usage instructions for responsible trainingCons:May not be suitable for all dogs or training philosophiesOverall, a highly effective training tool that has made a significant difference in my dog’s behavior and training progress.

I was cheaping out and bought a no name prong on amazon. Not only it is way too big (already the smallest the seller has) for my 15lb mini American Eskimo, but it also very hard to pinch in and out to put on my dog. So I googled around and got this OG HS micro prong. Let me tell you, this thing is unreal! I put on my dog, immediately i see result! Gave 2 gentle corrections when she tried to pull when see another dog and human, she did ouch quite a bit, but no more pulling afterwards when we were in elevator with other humans. (She loves to jump on other people before!) Some people would argue prong is inhumane. But it is actually more humane. The dog need to learn not to pull and it is already better to have short extreme pain than long medium pain. Before when i used regular collar or choke collar, my dog pull like crazy when she saw dogs or human. I ended up needing to use so much force to drag her around everyday whereas prong gave her sudden pain then she don’t pull and no more pain!
