WOW!!! THIS WORKS FAST!!!I wish I had taken before and after photos!!! In less than ONE WEEK, my dog’s yellow tartar and plaque coated teeth are white!!! I wouldn’t believe this if I didn’t see it with my own eyes!!! I didn’t get this for free or any discount. I am not being compensated for this review!!!I contacted my vet and they gave me a list of approved products to help with oral care)Back to results…So, my young adult dog had come to us with advanced oral build up. No decay, just super yellow teeth with visible tartar and plaque. Her breath was rank! ICK!In less than one week, after adding this food to her current Hills food, it acted as super miracle scrubbers doing a wonderful job faster than I could have ever dreamed!!! This worked like those commercials that show dogs yellow icky teeth getting white with one swipe.I don’t think this will help with decaying teeth… But for breath and tartar/plaque this is a WIN!I still see yellow at the gum line, but each time I look at her teeth the get whiter and whiter!NOW Breath…I literally would gag when her mouth would get close to my nose. I would have to wash my hand, arm or anywhere she licked me because her breath was so funky! I would not believe this if I didn’t see it! Her breath is so neutral now all I smell is food. They will choke! These are about a half an inch wide and a half an inch long. Some are larger. I have to use a nutcracker to break them and give them to my babies. The package says SMALL AND MINI. I don’t know what small and mini means to you, but I think 4 pound dogs are SMALL AND MINI and these are not!As for the teeth, and if this helps with their plaque or tartar, don’t know yet. It will take me a week to crack all the pieces to serve to my babies!

This makes great snacks in a Knuckle Bone!
So check this out (see the picture)! These are the perfect size to fit in a Nylabone Power Chew Knuckle Bone that can be found in pet stores and at Chewy online. So, now my little doggie gets treats that are good for him and he can have as many as he wants. One end of the dog food is slightly smaller. Just slide it in as far as you can, and turn it over onto your counter and use the palm of your hand to push down on the chew toy and it slides further into the chew toy hole. You will want it sticking a little out, cause you dog will like to lick it before working to get it out and then eating it. It’s great!

Big bites, not mini
The pieces are about an inch in size. Not small / mini. My dog likes them, but they are quite large for a small dog. Would be fine for a 40 pound + dog.

Love from Every Paw: A Nutritious & Tasty Dog Food Choice
My dogs absolutely love this dog food. I think the shape and texture remind them of treats or human food because even my mom’s usually picky chihuahua was eating this food from my dogs’ bowl. As for helping with cleaning their teeth, I’m not sure if there’s a significant difference, but at the very least, the food doesn’t worsen their teeth. Overall, I’m very happy with the price, value, and Hill Science brand, and I’ll stick with this dog food!One interesting note is that this dog food completely changes the texture of your dog’s poop, in my opinion, for the better. I find that it makes it easier to pick up and it’s not slimy at all!

Not for small dogs whose owners are concerned about breaking their dogs teeth.
This item was to be for small dogs and mini dogs. The kibble was so large and so hard I could not break it up with a hammer. What a disappointment.!!!!!! I do not know what to do with this product…… No rating!!!

Great food, way too big for most small dogs
I’ve been using this food as a topper for my older, medium (48 pound) dog. She still has really nice teeth and I’m trying to keep it that way. These seem to help clean off some of the plaque (obviously nothing is as good as brushing). My dog really likes the crunchiness of these and acts like they’re a treat. She’s usually pretty picky. I worry about the size of these kibble though. They’re about the size of a tater tot for lack of a better comparison. I would worry about these being a possible choking hazard for a small dog that doesn’t like to chew or a small dog not liking the kibble because of the size. As with anything, supervise while your dog is eating and these can be a great food/addition to your dog’s diet.

Kibble way too large for small & mini breeds
Unfortunately, I failed to read the reviews BEFORE purchasing. I have two small dogs (8-9 lbs.) and bought a few different kinds of Hills Science food for them to try out. I thought this would be great for them, as they’re both rescues and came with horrible teeth. I just opened this up today and the pieces are huge! No way should this be labeled as small and mini breed. I feel like it’s larger than regular kibble, and I’d even classify this as large breed kibble. When you compare the kibble to the other small and mini breed that Hills Science makes, you’d see an obvious difference. I could barely cut it in half to give my dogs. I’ll be trying to soak these in hot water to soften them up to use up the bag, but will not be purchasing this kind again, unless the size changes.

Great product and the chihuahuas love them. I have to cut them in half as they’re pretty big for the small dogs. Works great & needed to give them something to help clean treat after having the expensive tooth extraction surgery. Need to keep the other remaining clean! So best to spend on quality dog food or pay the price of expensive surgery

Minha cachorra estranhou um pouco devido ao tamanho mas gostou. A pelagem esta bem branquinha como sempre a hills deixa.O problema é que ressecou bastante as fezes, então estou misturando com a antiga ração dela que é a premier raças pequenas. Desta forma ficou mais regulada.

Kibbles are huge, but my 8lb schnoodle who had 4 teeth taken out last week managed to eat them. Not sure if it was the novelty or she actually likes them, time will tell and I will update if I observe issues. But right now seems good.
