My go to brand and selection
This is all I’ll use from my dogs. I love them more than most people. If there was something better, I would buy it. I have used this for many many years and find that it is the right combination of caloric intake, nutrition, and quality. I really don’t care what it costs so while there may be cheaper brands out there, I don’t really care. I will stick with this as I’ve discussed it with enough vets who concur that it is the best on the common market.

It works
This is an update. The weight is coming off. I had taken him off of Ĥills perfect weight because of what i thought were stomach issues, but he gained almost 20 lbs. In 6 months. After approximately 3 weeks back on, I can see a difference just in the way he looks, and no stomach issues. He was 135 lbs at the vets office and he suggested I put him back on Hills perfect weight as he had gained so much weight. This food does work. He is energetic and is looking like the weight is coming off.

I had tried adding green beans to my lab mix’s regular dog food, decreasing his food intake, and taking short walks to promote weight loss. He had prescriptions for carprofen and glucosamine to help with joint pain. Unfortunately, none of it made a noticeable difference—he remained chunky, lethargic, and in constant discomfort. After switching to Hill’s Perfect Weight, everything changed. He finally lost weight and I didn’t have to cut the amount of food he was getting. He no longer needs daily pain medication, only taking it occasionally as needed, and his energy has significantly increased. I will warn you, though, the food has a very strong smell!

The only food we feed our Australian cattle dogs. Easy on their stomachs and they are losing weight. They enjoy the taste.

I’ve had my lab on this food for just over a month. She’s slimming down, but not drastically – which means this formula of food has the dogs health at heart. It’s a nice, gradual weight loss and she loves the taste of it, which helps too. I’ll keep her on this food now and would recommend it.

My dogs love this food. It’s gentle on their tummies and maintains their health. It is pricey and i would hope for it to be more affordable but you get what you pay for I guess.
