    Best cat food
My cats LOVEEEEEE this food. We tried to put them on the Costco wet food and they would barely eat that. We switched to this and they devour it. It’s very moist and soft. My cats have sensitive stomachs and it seems they are taking it very well.

    Life saver
My cat had never had any urinary issues and he is a special needs cat with multiple disease states and 2 autoimmune diseases. He has been through grueling surgeries, has had feeding tubes, went from 18 pounds to 7 pounds and after 3+ years is finally pain and medicine free for the past 6 months. Out of the blue, I noticed something on my floor one day and it looked like dark jam. I bent down to smell it and it didn’t smell like jam or poop, so I touched it and it was so sticky and thick. I have 1 other special needs cat and a normal cat too, so I had no idea what or who it came from. I’m used to blood because of their other surgeries and wound management, but this wasn’t that kind of blood. This was that dark, thick, sticky blood that comes from organs. So I checked them all from ears, eyes, nose, mouth, paws, genital and anal area. Nothing. All clean and all acting normal. So, I moved my little spy cam (purchased on Amazon.com) to where the crime scene had taken place and gave them each 1 dose of an antibiotic just because I didnt know which one was bleeding and could not take all three cats to the Er at 10pm. So in the morning, I watched the video and saw which cat it was and rushed him to our fabulous vet and it turned out, he had kidney stones, an almost ruptured bladder, interstitial cystitis and an infection. I felt like such a loser that all this happened and I had no clue especially since I’ve been monitoring the 2 special needs cats daily for so many other things. Apparently, cats hide uti symptoms well until it’s too late. So he was given an injection and I was given meds to give him for a while. This poor cat has been through soo many surgeries and different prescription foods that he hated, I was not going to force syringe feed him some expensive urinary health rx food he’d just puke up. So I came to Amazon and did my research about the type of diet needed to sustain urinary tract health. I am NOT a big fan of science diet, but it got great reviews and I resseached it a bit and it has the right amounts of water, protein, magnesium and phosphorus. I figured because it was a “specialty” food, my guy wouldn’t eat it like he’s done in the past, we’ll, I was wrong. He loves it! I mean, lick the bowl clean and meow for more. That’s nuts. So, even though he is still caged at the moment so I can collect urine samples, he is quite content with his fancy & healthy food. Thank you science diet. You made a believer out of me!

It works, but product consistency changes. Just ordered my third case
I have been using this food for over 2 months. For years I had been getting Hills CD-urinary care from the vet. My cat is INCREDIBLY susceptible to UTIs and I was terrified to expose her to any other kind of food. I did a lot of research and ingredient shopping/comparing across many, many brands. Including BLUE Wilderness. This is the one that I kept coming back to. So, I made the leap. Price wise it was worth a shot (or keep overpaying at the vet)The first case of food I got matched the same conistency I had been getting from the vet (Hills CD-urinary care). My cat didn’t seem to notice one bit of difference. I carefully monitored her litter box and after about a month, sighed with relief. She maintained a healthy urinary flow (and BM) and was still her happy self with no sign of discomfort or stress. I was so excited! Cheaper food without a vet visit! i ordered another case. The second case arrived and I when I opened the first can, the consistency was different. More loose and wet. I was a bit worried. The previous food was could be scooped an maintain its shape. This needed a spoon. I felt some wind leave my sail, but I put it on her plate anyway. She noticed the difference too. She smelled it and investigated instead of diving right in. She finally started nibbling on it. I have continued to monitor her litter box movements and there have been no concerns. She eats this with no hesitation now. I have just ordered a third case and am anxious to see the consistency. Maybe it’s a change in product manufacturing. Maybe it’s a change in formula. Maybe it’s a reaction to shipment. I don’t know. This food seems to be working for my very sensitive kitty who has cost me way too much over the years (she is 13) with UTI issues.

Great food, terrible packing, lots of damage!!
The food itself receives a 5 star rating, as it has helped my kitty avoid UTI’s for quite a while! However, the condition of the cans was atrocious, with at least 50% seriously dented. The first few I pulled from the case were fine; unfortunately, I did not see notice the dented cans immediately, or I would have returned the case. The plastic wrapped case was packed loosely in an outer box, so not sure why this happened…but pretty sorry condition for a $60 case of special diet catfood!

Following a recommendation from the vet, we switched to a urinary hairball control diet.Given that our cats would usually rather go hungry than eat food they don’t like, we were a bit wary. But our cats eat this one, they don’t go nuts like they do with some others, but they willingly eat it.
