Reliable playmate for my cat
The laser movement and the play duration is perfect for my cat. I bought the older model 2 years ago and kept it on for entire time. The light bulb for the laser pointer went out recently. I bought a cheaper alternative – an automated laser pointer that spins around. The laser pointer movement was too fast and only spins around with no other movement. My cat could barely see the pointer and couldn’t play with it at all. I ended up returning the item then purchased this.I kept this on for a couple of days now and my cat loves it. The product is improved from 2 years ago and is quiet now. I am happy with this purchase. I hope it has an option to replace the light bulb if it burns out again.

The cat is still entertained bby LazerCat, and it has a long battery life.Can be creepy though. It’ll sometimes turn itself on and you turn around late at night to find the red light flickering around like a Cylon’s eye.

Game changer!
Game changer!! It’s a Godsend! My cats love it and it comes on every few hours for 15 minutes.. works great as expected- looks good. Then sometimes when I walk by throughout the day I often tap the top button and they hear the “click”, and come running to play as I go on to do other things. Previously I had to hold a laser light and they wanted to play all the time at night. And I felt guilty if I couldn’t give them enough playtime every night. This has improved everything! This can be used in daytime and it nice and bright! Battery lasts a good several hours. I keep my plugged in lately because I’m lazy. Now they get plenty of play time and we are all 3, (2 cats and me), happy all day long!

Exactly what I wanted.
I saw this at my father-in-law’s house, and immediately asked him to send me the link. A few months back, I’d gotten a laser toy similar to this, but it only rotates in a flat circle. We had it mounted to the wall, which made it a bit better, but it was still pretty boring for everyone to just watch it moving in arcs on the floor.This one has three settings: slow, fast, and random (so a mix of both). The best part, however, is that it moves all over the place. It’s not GENUINELY random, but it’s definitely random enough for the cats, and my two youngest go nuts for it (assuming they’re awake when it goes off!).I would say that’s potentially the only thing I dislike about it. My other laser toy has a motion detector, so if a cat is walking by (or chasing), it’ll start/keep the laser going. This one stays on for 15 minutes, then turns off for 3 hours. I get the reasoning behind it, but I’d prefer a motion detector. After all, what good is it if it goes off while everyone’s sleeping?Other than that, though, and I suppose the shorter battery life, I absolutely love it. I’ll update the review if it stops working before it should, but until then, just know that this thing is fantastic. It doesn’t replace you playing with your cats yourself, but if you’ve got kittens who just won’t quit, this is a great addition!

My cat is very interested in this toy. He loves laser and it keeps him engaged. However, the laser isn’t very bright so during the day I have to close my blinds and even then it becomes very dim when it moves far away.

My cat mostly enjoys this, she’s not always in the mood but when she is, she plays hard.The unit arrived with a full charge (or mostly full) so it was used very quickly. The only issue I had was locating a good spot for it where the light would not blocked by furniture.The ‘off’ timer does work but so far it has not restarted automatically after it’s sleep, that’s an issue with me but not a deal breaker. It’s possible that I have not hit the right button sequence so it could be user error, not a big deal to activate it but the automatic start would be nice.Minor update: the automatic restart does work, just no guarantees that the cat will see it. The time she did see it, she was resting in my lap and she did a very strong launch so I noticed it as well.

My poor half neurone fur baby cant keep up with the speed this generates on the low setting so she quits and watches half way in. I found I was turning it off for its auto function. Its cute, I don’t mind the orange colour at all and it appears to function safely for my cats eyes so I actually have no complaints as to its looks or operation .My issue really is that the charging is faulty. Thus the 3 star rating. I plug it in and all of a sudden it seemed to charge faster than usual on a conventional slow charging apple USB charger, which I thought was odd, but what I discovered was as soon as I picked it up to unplug it began blinking and charging again. It did this twice before being finally fully charged each charge. I charge other items with the same brick without issue. I don’t trust its charger which appears defective so I’m going to return it for this reason only.I actually do recommend it tho, especially for cats with a full firing brain.
