GREAT TOY
My French Bulldog puppy’s new favorite toy! It’s really good at keeping him busy and full of activity.

Trash
I’ve had this item for less than 15 days and my pup (8 months old) has played with it less than half the time. The cloth cover comes off easily. It comes with two ball pieces and I thought the company was just being nice, which would’ve been nice, but it doesn’t even stay closed. It even clicks to close but opens easily. She opened the mechanism to many times. There is stuff inside that can really damage a dog‘s mouth or hurt them if they swallow it. Don’t buy this!!!!

One of my pups favorite toys
My 3 month old puppy loves this toy. He wouldn’t touch it at first, just run around it barking. When he finally got brave enough to grab it, he would sling it so hard, the ball would come out of the covering. Which could be dangerous, since it is hard enough to break the glass on the bottom of my entertainment center if it made contact. Luckily that didn’t happen. He will spend 10 to 15 minutes at a time playing with this ball several times throughout the day if I turn it on. The only complaint I have is the quality of the cloth cover. It would have been nice if the cover was large enough to completely cover the ball and have a Velcro strip to completely close it around the ball. As it is, there is a small section of the ball still exposed and it is difficult to even get the cover on it, especially when it’s vibrating. A Velcro closing might also prevent the ball from coming out of the cover. My puppy managed to tear a hole in the cover on the first day. After 2 weeks the cover was looking like it had barely survived a tornado. Although I’m not sure why, the ball comes with two of the hard plastic shells. It would have been more beneficial for it to have come with 2 (or maybe 3 or 4) extra covers.

Can open easily
My dog loved it but quickly opened it up and took out the insides. Then every time I gave it to him, he opened it.

Only one
Ball is wonderful! Please be aware unlike me. I thought it was 2 balls and it only had one motor. Not sure if it was supposed to have 2? I was going to gift one. If that was the case I would have ordered from a different seller

10 star dog toy!!!!
I order tons of interactive dog and cat toys for my cat, four Boston Terriers and two St. Bernards. One particular Boston Terrier, she is pictured in the video that accompanies this review, loves interactive toys more than all of my other animals combined. She is generally my go-to for product testing. She is incredibly hard on toys and I am aware of that and so for me testing toys generally is about how interesting they are and how well they function for me to deploy them for the animals. That being said, this toy met and exceeded all of those basic requirements. What was so unique about this toy was that it comes with an extra shell and a fuzzy cover. When it comes to my particular Boston Terrier who loves these toys, she wants to destroy them as quickly as possible. Again, I don’t ever take stars off for that because these toys are made to be supervised with your pet, and they are not indestructible. This one–because of the extra shell and especially the fuzzy outer cover– gives it an extra layer of protection, enabling dogs who might be a little more aggressive with their toys to maybe enjoy them for a little bit longer. At the price point of about $12, this is nearly the best value on all of Amazon for an interactive dog toy.It has the usual design where you plug in and charge it from the side and it’s at the same location where the button is to turn it on and change modes. I will say in order to charge it, you do have to take the actual mechanism out of the outer shell, which is a little bit more of a hassle than many of the other toys, but that’s what makes it so much more durable. I would rather have a little bit more inconvenience in trade for the durability and protection. It feels like whomever designed this toy was a pet owner and specifically a dog owner whose dog loves these kinds of toys. So often I think these products are designed by someone who is clueless. It looks cute as it’s zooming around or is bouncing, but the thought behind durability and usability is usually zilch. This toy is fabulous. Again, if you have a large or aggressive toy chewer you will still need to supervise your dog. A durable dog toy is still not to be left without supervision for aggressive chewers.Bottom line, I think this is a fabulous toy. My Saint Bernards were not impressed, but they rarely are. They prefer to play with the cat or with the Boston Terriers. My Boston–as usual– adored this toy and thinks it’s the cat’s meow. I may have to order more of these because she loves this one more than any of the other dozens that I’ve ordered this year.
