Best Pet Playpen I’ve ever had!
On August 13th, my dog Annie had to have surgery to repair a torn ACL. The doctor told me that she needed to be kept in a crate for at least the first 2 weeks. Annie has never been in a crate and I knew she would not do well and would get very upset being in an enclosed crate. After a lot of research, I found the Iris Pet Playpen on Amazon and I ordered it after I dropped her at the hospital. I can’t tell you what a Godsend this playpen has been for us. During the day, I put it in my office and I put her bed into the Playpen so that Annie can be with me while I work (I work from home fortunately). Then, at night, I take it into my bedroom, which is where she sleeps. Since the Playpen is very open and has no top, Annie doesn’t feel caged in and does not complain at all when she’s in the Playpen.It was super easy to put together and it has a door that she can use to get in and out of the Playpen, which is a big help rather than having to lift her out from the top. Also, the door has two latches so there is no way she can open it from the inside. Despite the fact that it is quite sturdy when it’s set down, once you lift it in the air, you can close it in half and transport it from room to room very easily.This was one of the best products I’ve ever ordered and I can’t say enough good things about. It is very well made and has a lot of attention to detail Thank you Iris!!! You’ve made everything a little easier for my Annie – and for me!!Highly, highly recommend this Playpen to anyone who loves their pet!

Perfect for small dogs
The playpen was easy to install and put together. You can quickly de-assemble it to bring it on a road trip and then re-assemble it because you only need to remove and reinsert the stakes after initial setup. The size is perfect for my Yorkie. I have it set up in four (4) quadrants: a sleeping area – his bed, his bathroom – pee pee pad, his food area, and his toy area. It doesn’t take up too much space as I live in a condo and it easily fit behind by the dining table. It’s pretty sturdy and my Yorkie cannot jump over it as he’s a small dog but if your dog is big then this won’t hold him. My Yorkie has no issues staying in the playpen as he’s in it from 6am to 7pm with an hour break every few hours so he exercises his legs and roam the house as he’s not potty trained yet. He’s only 5 months old and I’m still trying to train him and this has been instrumental because for the few days before I learnt about it and while I await for him when I first got him, he peed everywhere and I was wiping and washing my rugs everyday. Now, he’s great a peeing on the pee pee pad in my daughter’s room. I’m still trying to get him to go back to play pen to pee on his pee pee pad when he has freedom to roam so I don’t have to watch him so much.

HEAD’S UP
Let me start by saying for the very reasonable cost this is a well made plastic play pen. And this is true. But a head’s up is in order which you don’t see on the item description regarding the door. You have to install this door yourself with the enclosed hardware. All kinds of little moving pieces and hinges come falling out of little plastic bags all around you. There are also 16 teeny tiny screws, exactly the amount you need, so help you if you lose one cause there are no extras and you’ll have to go looking for any teeny tiny screws that have wandered away or got themselves lost in the rug. You will also need a teeny tiny screwdriver. By now you have figured out that I am not a DIY kind of person and if you’re fix-it challenged as well, this will come as a nice surprise to you when you receive this play pen because of course you own no tools. But not just any screwdriver will do, nope, it must be what they call a phillip’s screwdriver, self-named by someone named Phillip I’m guessing, and thank goodness the neighbors had one.After trying to follow the somewhat cryptic instructions to install the door, you will be referred to photos A, B, C and D, this of course makes the experience more fun when you have pictures to look at. So finally you have the door installed and it seems like it is actually working. You find it is now 3AM, where does the time go when you’re having fun. But hey stop, there’s more fun in store for you. The Amazon description says that this playpen also “features a non-skid rubber foot to protect flooring”, but it doesn’t tell you that you will be installing these rubber feet on the bottom of each side yourself, two to each side. That’s another nice little surprise they have included for you in little plastic bags. Fortunately this time you will not need any special tool to do this, just some patience and strong fingers.Finally all the little rubber feet are in place and it’s time to put the sides together. It’s a bit of a trick to single-handedly slide in the poles that hold the sides together while trying to also hold the sides by yourself, but you finally do it. Once it is all assembled, you step back and see that it is a rather nice playpen for your little furry friend. Now it is 4AM and you’re wondering if you should just make some coffee and stay up. Afterall, you could just admire your work, you’ve earned it.
