These work underseat on Southwest. And the attendant actually said we could put both dogs in one bag, they weigh 13lbs together. One is 5lb the other 6lbs. But I wanted them to be extra comfortable for the nearly 4 hour flight so we paid the 125$ for each. The wheels pop on quick. I read someone’s review that said if it won’t clamp in then twist it around a little (basically try a different angle) that really works!These have little snaps so you can buckle in the individual zippers so no one can escape, this is brilliant! It’s true that the wheel brace comes off easily. I’d definitely take it off before you go down the ramp though. My dogs sometimes get into their bags on their own accord and take naps in them.You get three nice sized pockets. Im able to fit leashes, treats, wipes and harnesses. I like that you can lay it down so they can nap, my dogs are so small they can nap either way. There is lots of ventilation.Only thing I wish was different is I prefer mesh that is darker or more camouflaged. Everyone can tell you have a dog and they make comments or try to talk to your dog. One of my dogs doesn’t care for people talking to them and I personally don’t want people knowing I have a dog with me. It’s a conversation starter and I dislike small talk. When my carriers don’t scream “I have a dog” I’ve gone many many flights without the person next to me knowing I have a dog and they are utterly surprised if I reveal it and that’s how I like to travel, more incognito mesh pls. I’d totally purchase those. And the huge logo patch could go. I’d prefer to put my dogs name there. The brands name is a bit long and not necessarily catchy. I’d pay extra to have my dogs name embroidered in that spot. And maybe wouldn’t mind if the brand name was on the arm straps instead.

Not for tall, small dogs but I would buy again
It absolutely fits under the seat on an airplane. Southwest gave me no trouble with its size. However if you have the pockets filled with stuff you have to remove it to make it fit and the wheel part has to come off too. No big deal but it has to happen to fit. My dog is a tall chihuahua. He fit but this is really not for a tall dog. A short dog would do wonderfully in it. My tall dog couldn’t fully stand in it. But the wheels are great. Easy to snap on and durable. Glides great across the airport floors. The last thing I’ll say is the straps for the backpack part are super annoying when using this like luggage on the plane. They are so long with no way to get the out of the way other than just tying them in knots around the handle. They drag and catch in the wheels. For the price it’s gets the job done.

Item description did not match
The Amazon item description clearly states animals up to 15 lbs can fit in the carrier, but the box said 10 lbs. that’s a huge difference! Literally 1/3 smaller than listed and my mini schnauzer was already pushing it. I did manage to get him inside, but I think he’d be more comfortable in another carrier. I’m a bit disappointed by the contradictory statements because I certainly would have purchased another product if it had said 10 lbs.Not only that, the box was falling apart on arrival. The Amazon box was fine, but the product box had been torn and shoddily taped up with the wheels falling out. It made me nervous the product itself was damaged or defective, but it seemed to be in good condition.If you have a pet that is UNDER 15 lbs I think it should be ok.Getting past these issues, the carrier has some nice features: wheels roll smoothly, zippers seem like they will last awhile, and they each have tiny snaps so it can’t be opened from the inside (my doggy did that on a flight once, so I’m happy they thought of it!) I also like the three pockets. They would be great for wipes, poppy bags, treats, etc.Other things I noticed that were mentioned in other reviews: two of my wheels did not snap on easily and I was worried they could fall off. I flipped them around (the yellow part should align with the rectangular gaps of the opposite side so turn it 180 degrees and try again if they’re giving trouble) and they snapped on.The backpack has a pad that sits against your back. Behind it is a small patch of velcro. When using the wheels, you have to slip the carrier handle through the bottom between the pad and the portion where the straps attach like a sleeve. You should then be able to velcro the handle piece to the carrier.For straps dragging: you can push them up into the little sleeve of the carrier or unbuckle the bottom and reattach them crisscross around the handle, it’s pretty easy to reposition them because of the buckles and everything.

Extremely disappointed, wrong base sent
It seems that the wrong base was sent. The carrier section is perfect but It needs to be attached to the base. The base has snaps but NO coordinating snaps on the carrier part to attach. Has a small amount of Velcro on the bottom of the carrier Not sure what purpose this would serve. Also this base sticks out past the bottom of the carrier. How do you expect the carrier to stay connected safely to the base. It did come with 4 wheels but the wrong base must have been sent. It does not make any sense.

We can now take our 5kg mini poodle everywhere. She jumps in and off we go. Smooth rolling wheels. Good quality.It was an excellent selection.Neighbors wished there were sizes for larger dogs for daily use.
