Good value for money. All my pet mice have loved this food. Smell isn’t bad, health benefits seem to be good. My first mouse ate this brand and he lived for about 2 years! My second mouse is about a year old and he eats this regularly too.

Excellent variety
This rat food has an excellent variety of items for them to eat. We have 2 pet rats, and they love this food. It doesn’t have any weird smells, and it isn’t full of dust like some other pet food has. The bag does have a zipper closure. It isn’t great, but I transferred the food to a plastic container. Overall, great for pet rats!

It’s mouse food.
My little cridders do like this stuff. They don’t exactly go crazy for it, but it’s preferable to pellets for them. It’s also nice to watch them hold the stuff. Portion is acceptable, as is quality. A varied diet is important and there’s some good things on offer here.

The only kibble my rats eat and they lived 3 years.
My local big chain pet store is not reliable to keep this particular version of kaytee in stock so I had no choice but to look elsewhere for this fiod so my poor rats don’t have allergic reactions and can keep their teeth grinded. I’ve tried other kibbles for my rats but they don’t like them. They only eat this kibble. In addition to fresh veggies they eat this and they are still healthy and thriving at three years old. The average life expectency of rats is 1yr to 18 months. I only recommend this brand to rat owners. It’s very colorful too. I got it for cheaper on Amazon and got it quick.

Package was not damaged! Noticed this other person complaining about their bag being damaged. My delivery was good! So my rats and mice, since I have both, love this stuff!! I have over 20 mice and 8 rex/Dumbo/normal rats. They go through this bag in a week so I’m thinking with one or two rats, they’re good for a long while. What I really love about this mix is that both my mice and rats eat everything in it and not just play picky and eat only say the corn or etc. Also, the other reviewer that was telling others to not feed the stuff to the rats because it contain peanuts which is bad for them, I wanted to let you know that there’s barely any peanuts in this bag so I don’t see that being an issue at all. Too much of anything is not a good thing, it’s like some people saying too much chocolate gives you cancer but we don’t eat chocolate 24/7 like these rats don’t eat peanuts 24/7… this is not an entire bag of peanuts lol. I love the variety and more importantly they do as well. I’m not too stoked about the value for money since a bag from Walmart of the similar size is a hell of a lot cheaper. But with that bag, my mice and rats are very picky with what they eat out of it. So it’s kind of a waste anyway. There’s also been issues with certain bags of food for rats and mice that contain those little bugs in them that you have to freeze when you get the food. If you don’t know what I’m talking about that’s fine but those who do know what I’m talking about just letting you know this bag does not have bug issues. I feed it to them right out the bag and I never have to experience those bugs. To the other reviewer saying do not use this bag as their only diet… I absolutely spoil my rats. They have their own luxurious beds, litter trained, and they need no cage. Rats only live up to 3 years so feeding them what you think is the best of the best isn’t going to push that. My rats love taco Tuesday, fajita night, and burger grill night. So this bag is their main diet and my oldest rat is almost 3 years old, lots of grayness around his eyes. Poor baby. But he’s had one hell of a spoiled life!
