I’m not one to write a review on carpet shampoo (this is also my first review here, so bear with me)…however I am amazed at the quality of this product and of the performance of the Kirby system. I recently purchased my Kirby from an online auction, complete with all of the optional attachments (carpet shampooer, floor buffer, zipp brush, etc.) but wasn’t too sure about how to operate the shampooer correctly. I asked a family member who used to distribute the Kirby to show me how to use the system. Our test area was my sister’s family room rug, complete with a four month old soft drink stain from a 13 year old’s sleep over. The Kirby shampoo was laid down on the rug, set to work in it’s magic, and then was swept up into the collection tray. All I could say was…WOW!!! The Kirby system and shampoo pulled out several years of filth, not to mention that pesky soft drink stain. The carpet was left amazingly dry, and an hour later was vacuumed up to a beautiful fluff. My sister was amazed, and the “test area” soon turned into the entire room! The shampoo does not leave your carpets soaking wet, just slightly damp. It also has a refreshing but not pungent lavender scent. This quickly goes away with the foam pick up and drying. The price here on Amazon is a steal for the gallon container, and I am still very happy with the price paid for the system. I am a proud Kirby owner and will continue to purchase this shampoo!

I received a sample bottle of shampoo when I bought my Kirby Avalir a couple of months ago. It was enough to do one of the kids’ room. Given the fact that we have 3 kids and multiple pets, I decided to go ahead and get the gallon size container. When cost comparing to the Kirby website, I spent about $2 more for the bottle here. However since I saved with shipping with my Prime membership, I thought it was worth it.Things to consider:1. I didn’t reread the container when I shampooed my living room. I only put one capful of solution in for the entire container of water. I still got foam…but I am not overly impressed with the cleaning outcome. I have had other shampooers and the level of grime I saw coming up was a lot more satisfying than a little tray of grey foam. I had a sticky stain on an area rug that the Kirby got up, but there are some other spots and stains from spills and traffic that look a little lighter but not gone.2. The carpets seem to take a little bit longer than the average hour that most people have. Maybe if I had more solution in the tank, it would have been dryer, but at this point, I am not sure.3. Personally, I am not a big fan of lavender scent. However, I prefer something over nothing. I am not a big fan of this scent. After airing out the house a little, it does feel fresher than before I shampooed it…so that’s a good thing.4. The rep that sold me the vacuum made a good point to me. The shampooers can only be as good at the vacuum. Maybe the amount of grime I’m not getting with the shampooer now is due to the fact that my vacuum picked up more. I feel that the combination of the Kirby vacuum and shampooers cleans the carpet better than anything I have ever owned before, and I have gone through several different styles and models of both…given that, even though I am unsure about the shampoo alone, I am a new loyal customer since my carpets haven’t looked as plush and vibrant in a long time.

Carpet Cleaner That Doesn’t Aggravate Allergies
My daughter is allergic to many household cleaners/ chemicals, including carpet cleaning brands. Not only does this carpet cleaner do a great job getting out stains, but she isn’t allergic to it. I know it’s made for Kirby machines, but I use it in other models too, and it works just fine.

Not the cheapest product, but a little goes a long way so it lasts for ages. Leaves carpets clean and soft, dries quickly, and doesn’t leave behind a sticky residue. Works nicely on upholstery too, and has a pleasant scent. Been using this for years and have always been very happy with its performance.

I sold Kirby’s many years ago and shampooed quite a few carpets. Recently bought a used machine, so once again tasked with shampooing our carpet, and a few friends carpets too.Kirby shampoo leaves the carpet smelling nice and feeling soft & silky.

I’ve had my old Kirby vacuum for years, and I wasn’t sure if I could still find the right cleaner for it.This shampoo worked perfectly. It suds up just enough and really pulled out some old dirt and grime from the carpet. The scent is clean but not overpowering, which I like since I don’t want my place smelling like chemicals for hours. I used it during my usual deep clean and the results were impressive-especially for high-traffic areas. A little goes a long way too, which makes the gallon jug jug.
