Durable but potentially dangerous
Preface this with saying that my dog absolutely loves this toy.However… He is an aggressive chewer as advertised. That being said, the toy has two hard ends, and a soft(ish) center (2 different materials). Although it is very durable, and the dog enjoys it, his mouth was bleeding by day 2. My solution was not to let the dog play with it for longer than 45 mins at a time to prevent injury.Update.One month later, no more mouth bleeding, and he still hasn’t fully destroyed it, so Id say I got my money’s worth. It is apparently made out of some kind of real wood as well? idk, but it is a great dog toy. dog loves it.

Decent product for aggressive chewers that donāt like pure rubber toys
Aggressive chewing German shepherd loves this toy but wonāt last forever. Probably one of his favorite chew toys. The ends can get worn down a lot and could potentially become dangerous for you dog. Suitable for dogs that prefer tougher toys rather than rubber toys

Pup is pretty destructive with his toys. And like most dogs if thereās a squeaker, heās gonna rip it out.. heās had this toy for over a month now and he hasnāt managed to break the squeaker, and itās still reasonably intact! This toy has lasted longer than pretty much any other toy I have bought for pup, excluding balls. (for some reason he doesnāt destroy those.)A note about the squeaker, I have trouble getting it to squeak however, pup is able to do so with very little trouble.If pup ever manages to completely trash, this, I will definitely buy another!

With that said, it is really durable and if you dog is not an aggressive chewer or happens to be a breed that is known for wicked jaw strength, this may be great for your dog.Our doggo is a 55lbs. Aussie Cattle Dog and he is considered to be a medium sized dog. He likes to chew, but he is not an aggressive chewer, or tearer. So, this style of toy does last him a considerable amount of time.He tends to relax on the floor in our home office and chew on his bone. He has YET to discover the squeak in it. I guess that is good, especially while we are working.The bone does fit in his mouth well and he can carry it if he wants to move onward to another area of the house. He rarely leaves our area and I prefer this, so I can make sure he does not swallow anything or begin to choke. This is just a worried, yet aware, pet parent speaking. This toy does not/has not lost any pieces while he is chewing and playing with it.Value wise, this bone toy is a terrific value. It is well priced and it is a great quality.Recommended for not aggressive chewing breed dogs. Those breeds CAN use this toy, but mileage may differ.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

This toy is exactly like one I got for my dogs back in August under a different brand name. Absolutely nothing different about it and my dogs love this one just as much as they love the last one (though the last one is pretty bitten up badly now and may be near the end of its life š ). So with that said, this is going to feel like a repeat of my last review. I will just skim over the highlights:- It is tough! My two Labradors are aggressive chewers and they gnaw on this for hours.- The two ends are hard plastic and the middle is a very hard rubber, which is where the squeaky bit is.- It can be difficult to make it squeak, even for me, but they manage to squeak it, though it is a faint squeak.- My dogs are freakin’ awesome.- One of them is a young rescue and has very sharp teeth. She can destroy most toys, but she cannot destroy this.- Her name is Sunny D and has finally become of healthy weight with a thick coat and she LOVES the snow!- I can attest for the toy’s longevity.Anyways, Thank you for reading my review! š

I have a Vizsla. They’re known to be very aggressive chewers, and their picture is often associated with toys for aggressive chewers – including appearing in two of the images for this toy!Toys for aggressive chewers, even those with pictures of Vizslas on the packaging, normally last only a few hours at most. One local store (with a poster depicting a vizsla for their toys for aggressive chewers) proudly told me I could return it if he destroyed it. I returned it 70 minutes later, in 3 pieces.We’ve learned not to buy anything except large nylon/wood-fibre type bones.I try a variety of toys that are purported to be indestructible, always looking for one that will endure.This bone is very sturdy – the wood-fibre nylon material stands up to my dog’s chewing. The central area is made of (or wrapped in) something much much softer, which I was concerned he’d peel right off. It also has a squeaker in it, and my dog makes it his mission to destroy anything soft or squeaky – usually in minutes.To my surprise, this toy has survived it’s first week largely intact! He knows it can squeak, and he’s definitely been working at the nub that contains the squeaker, but so far it’s defied his attempts to destroy it.He seems to really enjoy toys that he can make squeak, because it rare for him to get them.This toy is holding up really well, so we’re both happy with it.
