A little scent of Japan
I came across Laundrin on a trip to Japan. I really enjoy this beautiful detergent and I’m glad I can find it on Amazon. It’s a bit more expensive and refill bags would be ideal which is popular in Japan but I use it sparingly mainly when washing throw blankets and bedding. Our guests love the scent. It seems to last about week, give or take a bit longer. I also love the fabric refresher spray which is nice to extend the scent! It’s not a heavy duty detergent but it cleans very lightly soiled laundry well.

Does a good cleaning job on colors, not so great for white loads
This came with confusing instructions for how much you need to use per load. Instead of the typical small, medium, large load amounts, you are given gallons of water used, which in my case changes depending on the load size since my washer automatically determines how much water is needed. So while I can use the cap to measure the amount I need, I can’t determine the amount unless I know how many gallons of water will be used. I probably used too much as I wanted to be on the safe side. I thought this did a great job on my colors -my blouses and pants – and it left a nice, very light scent. I don’t use scented dryer sheets as they bother me, but this amount of scent is perfect. When I ran my whites (mainly underwear, white socks) I was disappointed as they looked dingy. I will need to use a detergent with stronger whitening power than this for them, or add a whitener. At any rate, this is a big improvement over the laundry sheets I had been using so I am happy with it, but I am unsure how long two bottles will last as I am still uncertain as to how much I need to use for each load.

I was so excited to try this detergent! I really like specialty laundry products. But then I looked at the back and realized I had no idea how much to use because I didn’t know how many gallons of water my washing machine used, or how many pounds of laundry I normally do! I mean, I’ve never even considered that before!So, first this detergent is very gentle, and excludes additives that boost whitening or stain fighting. The bottles are easy to store and use and have a measuring cap which covers the easy pour spout.I used this on a couple loads of dedicates, and everything came out clean with just a faint floral scent. The scent does not smell fake and smells sort of luxe. I like it, I noticed the scent really didn’t last that long on my clothing when it was in my drawers, so that can be good or bad.The instructions on the back of the bottle provide measurements for both Top Loaders and Front Loaders. But for Top Loaders it’s based on the gallons of water and for Front Loaders it’s based on the weight of the laundry! Huh?? Sigh…So after exhaustive research, I determined that all washing machines sold in Japan are High Efficiency (or basically meet High Efficiency standards). Also, if you’ve bought a washing machine in the last few years, it’s possibly an HE model. Mine is an HE model.I don’t think it makes a difference in the US between the top load and front load models, as what matters is the amount of water the detergent is be added to. This is based on the machine being HE or not. This is according to the guy I bought my washing machine from at my local appliance store.Second, I looked at my own HE washing machine manual, and it says it uses 10 gallons of water for a full load. So I rounded up and used the recommended detergent amount on the label for 12 gallons of water.So, after this very long story problem, (never my fave and certainly not NOW that I’ve been out of high school for….. ahem… a while now), I determined that each one of these bottles handles about 26 loads (410 grams per bottle at 15 grams per load) ! That’s a lot!Again, if you don’t have an HE washer, you typically need to use about twice as much detergent, because you’re using twice as much water per load.In closing, whoever said you would never need 6th grade algebra is wrong. THAT person has clearly never purchased luxe laundry product. But overall, I like this detergent and would order it again.

Not for High Efficiency Washers
This laundry detergent is not labeled for high efficiency washing machines, so I was not willing to try it in our new washer. I’m surprised because most laundry detergents at this point are available for HE machines. I ended up just using it in the tub for some larger pieces that I needed to hand wash. It worked well and smelled nice at least.

Great small size laundry detergent
I didn’t have to use a lot of this detergent to do my laundry. It comes out smelling with a flower scent, not too overwhelming and just right. It took me a big to figure out the correct dosage but luckily there were instructions in the box. I appreciate that the bottles seal tightly so there’s no accidental spills.

Light floral scent, cleans delicates fine, confusing measuring instructions
I used this detergent on laundry which consists of mostly delicate and lightly soiled clothing. Everything came out clean and fresh. The floral scent was light but pleasant.I have a traditional washer and soft water, so I generally use half the recommended amount of detergent for a top loader. The instructions on these bottles was not clear, and referred to pounds of laundry and gallons of water, so I went with the lowest amount recommended and it worked out fine.

So impressed with this detergent. Not only is the packaging cute, but this stuff PERFORMS. I used the tiniest amount on a medium load of laundry and was dubious it would get the job done, but all my laundry came out of the dryer smelling so fresh and clean and amazing.

Compact laundry detergent for travel
I purchased this two pack of laundry detergent primarily because it was in smaller bottles, making it easier for traveling. The laundry detergent itself smells lovely and appears to clean clothes as well as the name brands. Most importantly for me, the container is relatively small making it easy to take on trips when laundry has to be done.
