Features strong bar-tack stitching and welded D-rings. A limited-slip martingale-style collar for walking and training. It should not be left on an unattended or unleashed dog. Slips on over the head. To determine collar size, measure around the middle of the dog’s neck, AND around the widest aspect of the head. Allow an extra 5% to the longer measurement for a comfortable fit. Lupine products are not recommended for tie-out. Machine wash, warm water, mild soap (no bleach or bleach alternative). Air dry.

Best of the best
Lupine collars are the best! They are beautiful, washable, well constructed and fully guaranteed. The martingale style is my favorite. When properly adjusted, the dog cannot back out of it, yet it will not choke if he pulls. An added bonus is the design requires no buckle closure so there is never a worry the closure may fail. The guarantee is unmatched. I have returned collars after several years of use because they were faded and have always received brand new ones with no issues. Definitely my go to collar!

Make sure you want a “martingale” style collar – I didn’t realize what that meant as the Amazon photo doesn’t show this (yes, it is in the title but I didn’t read it clearly enough). It is a wonderfully made collar, very bright in color and looks like nothing could break it. It would be a good 2nd step collar for a dog who’s been on a choke chain for walks and now might only need minor correction.

For some reason I did not realize the pattern was lizards- my eyes didn’t notice! I just thought it was abstract. I still love the collar though. It is great quality.

Looks great after 3 years of wear
Getting some new collars for my other dogs, but this one still looks brand new. I toss it in the wash on gentle every once in a while and it has held up great. Martingale collars are great for dogs whose heads and necks are similar widths (greyhounds on the slender side and pitties on the thicker end of things).

Love this martingale collar by Lupine. The quality is second to none. If you don’t want your dog to slip their collar while out on a walk these are the best. These are not meant to be an everyday leave on collar though.
