Max and Neo Dog Gear is named after my dog Neo and my brother’s dog Max. Both dogs lived happy lives in Arizona. When Neo passed away, I began fostering rescue dogs. It became apparent to me that running dog rescues required a lot of resources in both time and money. Max and Neo Dog Gear was started to help dog rescues with their never ending need for dog supplies.
We are proud to be able to offer this program which will provide a constant supply of dog leashes, collars and accessories to dog rescues.

At Max and Neo, our sole mission is to help dog rescues. That is why we donate one for one for every product sold. We hope to alleviate some of the burden that dog rescues incur by providing them with everyday products that they need to run and maintain their rescues.

Our sleeves are always visible from all sides. People do not have to squint when reading our leash sleeves. Our oversized font and bright colors are great for both owners and their dogs.
Velcro Closure System
With our unique closure system, you do not have to worry about the leash sleeve slipping or having to pull a leash through the sleeve to get the sleeve on.
Simply wrap the sleeve around your leash and press down on the Velcro to secure the sleeve. It won’t get in the way of your leash handle or poop bags, and you don’t have to worry about it slipping when using the leash!

DOG RESCUES – Each month we donate to different rescues throughout the USA. At the end of every month, we tally up the number of leashes and collars sold. Based on the number, we determine how many rescues we can donate to for that month. We donate down our list of rescues until each one has received a donation and then we go back to the top of our list. In special cases, we will donate to rescues out of turn based on their immediate needs.

Tough yet effective
I was worried because my foster dog’s leash is round instead of flat, so I didn’t know how well it would stay on. My worries didn’t last long. This is a WONDERFUL product. My dog tries to chew on the leash (and by extension, sometimes the leash sleeve) when we are on our way out the door to go for a walk. The sleeve is SUPER durable, and the bright colors ensure that people see that my foster is adoption eligible. The Velcro stays on super tight. despite the jostling while on the leash. Best of all, I love that they donate to dog rescues, so this hopefully helps two dogs get adopted. Would definitely recommend.

Visible, Brilliant Idea
I would 100% buy again. I love that I can add this to almost any leash. While not everyone in our city pays attention to the leash wrap or respects its message, I find that it’s a nice size and very visible for what it is. Can’t help the folks who aren’t paying attention but it’s attention grabbing for those who are. I’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback on the wrap from those who have noticed it, including our behavioral trainer who thinks it’s an awesome product. It gives me a little bit more peace of mind knowing that I’m taking additional steps to be a responsible handler by signaling our request for extra space. Of course, some people don’t “listen” and some people view it as a challenge (“oh, but I’m REALLY good with dogs” “oh, but my dog LOVES other dogs”). That’s nice, but my dog is gonna bark at you if you try to pet him without his consent and he’s gonna aggressively yell at your dog for getting too much in his space. Then you’ll be startled and possibly mad at me for “not controlling my animal” and say to me “well, he LOOKED nice”. *eye roll*My main complaint about the product itself would be its weight. It’s a little heavy, I think. Not unduly heavy but it does seem to put some drag on the leash. I use a micro-prong collar and I sometimes wonder if the wrap is adding pressure to the collar when I don’t want there to be. However, my Aussie doesn’t seem to be bothered.I’ve had this product for a few months now and it’s holding up quite well. I don’t take it off the leash too often and I imagine if I did that perhaps some of the velcro stitching might wear out. However, it hasn’t yet, so I’m happy.My only other “gripe” would be that since the message is the same direction on both sides it’s always going to read upside down on one side. Not a dealbreaker, just an irritating product design flaw, IMO.

Is it a use fits on any leash just Velcro on the leash. Great quality you can take it off put it on and let people know that your dog is up for adoption.

Perfect
When I take a foster dog to an adoption event (or just out in public) I want it to be very obvious that they’re up for adoption, not just visiting the venue. I previously had ordered a similar product that was nylon and snapped around a leash. It worked okay-ish but it slid down the leash where it’s harder to read/see from further away. This product on the other hand stays where you put it so it’s more eye catching. I also like the bright green color, which I feel is a lot more welcoming than the red I had before which is often used for signs on dogs that indicate caution or giving distance.The leash I put this on is just under 3/4 of an inch and there is still plenty of space in the sleeve so I have no doubt it would fit at least a 1 inch leash. It also seems very good quality so I expect I’ll get to use it for quite a long time. Definitely worth the money.

Brightly colored, better for larger dogs
These are nice and bright, and the color is very pretty. They fit over different sizes and shapes of collars very well. The only complaint I have is that they are heavy, especially for puppies. I wanted to use both of them on the leash, but only used one, and felt like it weighed on my puppy’s neck. I have a large breed foster puppy, so I definitely don’t think it would be good for a smaller puppy or dog. This would be fine for larger adult dog.

Great Quality Leash Sleeves
I ordered a 2 pack of the DEAF leash sleeves yesterday. The reviews were good & I love how they donate a sleeve for every sleeve purchased. Unfortunately whoever actually packs the items into the paper envelopes at the distribution center, either did not pack them at all, OR they packed them and failed to seal the envelope. Yesterday at 11:15 am the Amazon delivery guy brought an empty envelope. The doorbell camera video shows the open envelope in the guys hand. The unsealed & empty envelope blew into our bushes. We found it, but of course no sleeves. This morning I spoke to Customer Service & they sent out replacements & I received them around 5 pm. this afternoon. They are really nice, and the white on red is easy to read.
