Zimecterin Gold (ivermectin/praziquantel) Paste provides effective treatment and control of the following parasites in horses. This is an awesome item that not only goes after one type of warm but three different types of worms. Very good quality items packaging was very good as well

De-Worm your horses regularly!
We live in a very wet state (Washington State) and horses are exposed to a lot of mud and water and puddles, etc. So we are very diligent about de-worming our horses on a regular basis, without fail. This product was recommended by my vet. She told us to use this at the half year and Quest Plus on the other half. That way, we’d be covering the general spectrum of possible worm infestations our horses are typically expected to contract. So, we are on a reminder basis to buy this product annually. It works and it is keeping our only horse free from worms and feeling great.I don’t know what it tastes like but he seems to not fight it very much. We slide the tip of the syringe into the corner of his mouth behind his wolf tooth and when he opens his mouth a little bit, we are ready and we plunge the syringe deep in his mouth, over his tongue, and push the plunger all the way down. Before he even knows it, most of the paste is down his throat and on its way to do its job. He may rub his tongue around and get some of it to come out but most of it is down the hatch!We recommend people use this product and keep your horses’ gut clear of worms!

I use this product 1-2 times a year based on a McMaster’s Fecal Egg Count (FEC) on my horse. If he has a significant load of strongyles and/or tapes I will administer this.As a veterinarian I have seen WAY too much over medication and over-deworming of all species. We are seeing resistance to dewormers because rotational dewormer was so popular for so long! You should only deworm if the animal has a significant parasite load! You want a low level of susceptible parasites to exist, if you over-deworm you will select for only resistant parasites to be present, and to be shed into the pasture/environment for other animals to also acquire. Please only deworm based on fecal results and clinical picture. I have watched too many small ruminant and camelid patients die from parasite related anemia and disease because there were no more dewormers left to try- nothing worked! Pasture management and fecal diagnostics is key!This product can be purchased much cheaper in some stores and other online retailers but you are obviously getting the convenience of prime shipping here.

Worming Day is an event on the ranch. As always this is our go to for worming cycles. It is super easy to turn the dial and get the right amount to the horses. I can’t comment on taste personally however the horses are meh about it. It works well, totally worth the cost. Easily stored in the box and tucks out of the way.
