Love the Merrick L’ll Plates, Healthy, Grain Free Kibbles for Smaller Senior Dogs.
The Senior L’ill Plates is no longer sold at my local major pet stores so I occasionally had to purchase the regular adult version locally. I was happy to find it sold on Amazon and that it arrives quickly. I’ve used this for my senior Cairn Terrier and she gobbles it up. She has a couple missing teeth so the small sized kibbles make it easier for her to chew. It’s a good quality product, grain free without the nasty added fillers. I plan to order again.

I had never experienced the joy my dogs get when I serve Merrick’s dog food, just wow.They love it, instantly gone (>_<) no vomiting, no digestion issues (no diarrhea or constipation).Does not smell like chemicals, bag feels like good quality, not cheap. Seems like a great company from what I’ve read.Food didn’t fall apart in the package, one of our dogs only has a few teeth left and somehow eats dry food.

Very good good, especially for toy poodles that have trick knee/floating patella. The glucosamine and chondroitin cures it as long as he come to eat the Merrick…if he stops the issue comes back.

Do not like the smell or flavor, but my dog loves it
My dog has a sensitive stomach and I’ve tried so many foods out there, but the Merrick brand seems to work well with him, sadly it’s very pricey imo. But about this particular food the small bites kibble. the first bag I ordered actually smelt good and yummy when I opened the bag and smelled quality,. The current bag I’m using which is the second time I’ve ordered it honestly smells like fish flavor, and when I soak it in water it smells even more fishy. So I really liked the first bag I got but the second bag I do not like the flavor at all or the smell,. However my dog seems to like it, but he likes everything. Possibly this bag got mislabeled. It smells exactly like a fish smell and when water is added it smells even more fishy compared to the first time I ordered which had a very good smell not even remotely fishy.

My little chiweenie and shepherd mix both love Merrick Lil’ Plates Small Breed dog food. I wish we had discovered it long ago. Easy for them to eat and apparently very tasty as well. I would recommend this food for anyone with a small/toy or medium sized dog. Unfortunately, both of our dogs became ill at the same time. Our little chiweenie had an enlarged heart and passed away last Monday. Our shepherd mix had cushings disease and passed away last Friday. We just received a new bag of food for them and requested a refund. Merrick did not hesitate to immediately give us the refund. They also did not have us send back the food so we donated it to the local animal shelter. Thank you Merrick. What a wonderful company.Update: The above was written in April 2019. Now it is June 2019 and we have taken in a new senior Chihuahua. Our other dogs loved this food so much we are reordering for out new but older little guy. Hoping he loves it as much as they did.
