Crate on Wheels
6-12-25 Update: works just as intended sturdy – slides well on hard wood – still very happy with purchase42.75” L x 28.5” W x 30.5” HTractor Supply Retriever Two door dog crate*** Packaging recommends crates larger than 30” L should have 3 sets of wheels ***Easy to follow instructions, but a cumbersome task to install. Roughly an half an hour for all 6 wheels. End results are just what I was looking for. I keep the center wheels unlocked and lock the corners.I added these wheels for 2 reasons;- crates are over top of registers and needed a gap for ventilation- i can finally now sweep and vacuum the fur that accumulatesRolls smoothly when unlocked, when locked it does feel sturdy but if shoved hard enough it will slide.I have 2 60lb dogs, will update in about a week for progress report.

HEAVY DUTY AND WELL MADE
I needed a wheeled cart to transport my golden retriever whose rear legs are an issue. I was going to put a bed on it to move her around. Actually this product is designed to move heavy dog crates, so it was more than I needed for my purpose but extremely impressed with its quality and heavy duty materials. Recommend It for its use, but I returned it without assembling it.

Makes Cleaning Very Easy
I bought these to move my dog’s crate around seasonally with furniture changes. I also hate moving her stuff around to get everything cleaned well. I added three sets of these to the bottom of a kennel made by the same brand. They were easy enough to install, but it did take chunk of time to get it done just because there are several small screws per wheel. Once you get them on, they’re rock solid and add plenty of elevation. You can easily move the cage out of the way, vacuum hair that clumps underneath, and slide it back into place. The only thing that I have an issue with is that it’s not always a smooth ride. Kind of like a shopping cart that pulls to one way or another. It works fine, it just doesn’t move perfectly straight.

Very sturdy and easy to maneuver
This dolly exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. Sturdy and solidly built with wheels large enough to make it maneuver easily. The only negative is the handle assembly – needs better photos and more precise detail in the instructions. I still haven’t succeeded but am using the additional rope handle and this is working fine for straightforward pulling.Editing to add. Since posting my first review this has become my go-to right hand for all my chores, from hauling groceries to the house, top soil to my garden to heavy garbage cans to the curb. I don’t know how I managed before this!

Does the job but not the best quality
Do not attempt to install these by yourself. Would be a simple if fiddley install (due to tiny, tiny nuts) if all the parts were fabricated correctly, but after 30 minutes of attempting to affix the first caster of the 6 I purchased, I wanted to throw the rest out the window. Once I realized that most of the nuts had bad threads and then grabbed a helper to hold on to the external parts while I climbed inside the kennel with the others, things went pretty quick. 60% of the nuts were bad and some of the spacers and washers were welded together. Other than the frustration of installing, product works as intended so far on a galvanized wire crate from the same company that produced the casters. Luckily the crate is old enough to have been constructed with higher quality materials.

It felt nice and tight until I turned the crate upright
These casters must be designed for use on a gorilla cage, because they certainly don’t fit on a dog cage. The product description states it fits all dog cages, not just the Midwest brand. I just spent over an hour trying to make them work without the wheels just folding down. If you install them as indicated on the package, the indentations are too deep for the steel bars on the cage, thus causing the casters to roll, then fold down. I then undid all 6 of them and attempted to make them work by turning the non-metal indented piece over (to the flat side) so it would fit tighter. It felt nice and tight until I turned the crate upright, and the wheels just rolled over again, causing the crate to tip. I don’t normally write reviews, but in this case, I am so frustrated that I felt I should warn other potential buyers and save them the wasted effort, frustration, time, and money. Now I have the lovely job of taking the casters off (again!) packaging everything back up, and returning it. In addition, I now have numerous scratches on my laminate flooring from having to turn the crate over so many times. The product would be great if it worked, but it doesn’t.

Easy installation
EDIT: Ended up bending down at the edges where her raised bed sits and had to remove them. Maybe if there wasn’t a raised bed it would be differentMy 63 pound pup has a 48 inch crate with a raised bed inside that she loves and sleeps in at night. She occasionally naps during the day in there as well, however i recently moved the large heavy crate and there was enough hair to stuff a couch lol after not even a month without being vacuumed. I bought 3 packs of two, east but time consuming installation. You’ll likely need a small screwdriver and needle nose pliers. The 2 pieces were confusing and i believe the plastic attachment piece and castor should be fused to prevent struggling to keep the pieces lined up. Set up today, i’ll have to update eventually. Should come in multiple pack sizes..no one needs just 2 wheels to start off with but may need an extra 2 to add more stability.
