Figure it out both of you
Most excellent bed and keeps my 13-year-old mini Schnauzer nice and toasty. It is true that the opening does not tend to stay up. However with some constant practice over 4 or 5 days she learned that she could lay on top of it or use her snout to burrow into the opening and get underneath. If I want to keep it open I place two of her midsize toys, you figure out what to use, underneath each side where the opening begins then I lift up the hood and press down inside on the bed and voila it stays propped open. Highly recommend

Not what I expected
I always read the bad and good reviews and then make my decision. After reading the negative reviews, I decided to try this bed out anyway. We have included size comparisons to a queen size pillow. The small fits my overweight (lol) chihuahua with plenty of extra room. She is still getting used to it in the pics. As to the hood not staying up…it is made of flexible foam that holds its shape for the time being. I think it may eventually sag which would be ok if your pup likes cave-like darkness. The padding is soft and thick. Not too sure about the non slip bottom. That’s the only part I don’t agree with. Love the color. I would suggest that you get a knife to open the package. It was very tightly wrapped. Just be careful. I would recommend this pet bed its material really nice.

Great! Finally a bed that actually works as a cover!
This bed so far is wonderful! My chihuahua gets cold, and I looked for a bed she could cuddle into… I tried other round beds – good quality, but she was exposed in the middle, and tightly curled/still cold. I bought one with an “attached” blanket, which was worthless! The supposed blanket was just a lightweight piece of the same material sewed onto the side… When it was open, and the dog was in the bed, how is it supposed to pull that down on itself?! In actuality the “blanket” fell down onto the bed and the dog – unable to realize it was a separate piece, simply layed on top. Returned! This bed so far has stayed open enough that Taffy can either lay on top, or more likely, cuddle inside. The hood is double-weight, and she has no trouble finding the opening, even if it isn’t totally open! Great!

Not as pictured, hood collapses into bed.
The hood doesnāt stay up like in the pictures. At all. Also there was a ton of extra loose stitching and fuzz in the bed upon arrival. This bed was for a new puppy and I didnāt think it was safe with how poorly the stitching was done inside the bed, and my puppy wasnāt strong enough to lift the cover to climb in it.

Very good product
Extremely cushy and enjoyable for my young puppy. The only issue is that the roof collapse is very easily. She uses it like a bed on top or crawls in and uses it like a sleeping bag if she’s chilly. I kind of like it like that because she hangs her head out and it’s pretty adorable. I ordered the small and it is a little bit bigger than expected I should have gotten the extra small for my baby apple head teacup chihuahua. I have not washed it yet. The quality seems good and I believe it is extra comfortable. I would recommend purchasing this product for your pet

Dog Approved!
Purchased the 27ā for my 24āL x 22āH pup. Item arrived vacuum-sealed. No weird smell at all upon opening. Before using, I threw it into the washer on the bulky setting, warm. Threw it into the dryer on low for 125 min, but it was taking pretty long to fully dry, so I put it inside out (flipped hood part backwards) and set it on medium heat for 40 more min. That did the trick. (It recommends low but I was impatient.) My pup was immediately curious when I brought it downstairs. He attempted to step into it twice, but he wasnāt sure about what to do with the hood part. He didnāt understand how to get up under it. It was funny to watch. I know he will get the hang of it eventually. Earlier this year, he developed anxiety from loud nextdoor neighbors. I am hoping this bed helps with that issue and calms him. Day 1 with the bed, he lays on top of the hood, with it flat. See pictures. He fell asleep almost immediately. Itās very soft and cozy. It did not get matted after washing/drying. I see negative reviews about the hood part not staying up. Mine didnāt have that issue. Of course, it will flatten more if your dog is heavy and likes to lay on top of it. The more your dog goes up under the hood and molds itself into the material, Iām sure the hood will stay up over time. Washing and drying helps keep it fluffy as well, making the hood more pliable. All in all, this was a winner! I love the brown gradient color. I bought a 2nd one in dark gray gradient for upstairs.**UPDATE 7/24: I received the 2nd order today (different color) but this one did not fare well after washing. Some stuffing came out in the wash and in the dryer. I found a ripped seam on the inside, around the bottom. I took off two stars for that, as now I will have to sew it myself. (Iām no seamstress!) Iām guessing that some of these arenāt sewn as well as others, and maybe itās just the luck of the draw. Also, this one did have a slight smell after drying it, Iām assuming that itās coming from the outside lining on the bottom. Iām a little bummed about this purchase now, honestly. Itās cute and my dog still likes both beds, but Iām not happy about the poor sewing.

Dog mom LOVES it!
We have a winner! It’s soft! It’s cozy! I’m not sure why others are saying the “blanket” part doesn’t stand up.. it’s floppy enough to cuddle into but has a bit of support that’s just enough for dogs to figure it out. All I had to do was show her how and she immediately figured it out!I am recently divorced and live alone in New England and my house is pretty drafty so I’ve been worried about her for the upcoming winter, especially when I’m at work! This bed is absolutely perfect for her! I have peace of mind knowing she can keep warm when I’m not around!

I bought this bed for an 8 pound, 2.5 year old Havanese. It is as shown and arrived within the allotted time. The products looks nice, is very soft, and will easily fit in a washing machine. My dog likes it and climbed in almost immediately. It is a bit of a two-in-one in that the dog can sit on top of the overlap, making a nice soft spot without a cover. I’ve had this item for less than a week and my dog has taken several naps both on top of and underneath the cover.

My dog used to wait until I fell asleep to sneak onto my bed and cuddle up next to me. But ever since I got him this new bed, heās obsessed ā he wonāt leave it! My cat Marceline absolutely loves this bed! She instantly took to it as soon as I put it out for her. She now goes to work every night on it!!Itās super soft and fluffy and has a bit of a gap around the inside so your fur babies can snuggle right in!! The top has yet to fall down or lose shape as other reviews have stated – they may have improved the quality! Came in super secure packaging, wrapped so tightly you could kill someone with it so you know nothing nasty was getting in.All in all we have zero complaints and anything in purple gets a bonus
