1. How to inflate the pad using the air valve?
Open the air valve, plug in the pad, and wait a few minutes for it to inflate to about 1 inch thick. You can press down on the center to release any excess air. Do not use tools to inflate the pad.
2. Why is the heated pet mat not as warm as expected?
It will automatically warm to pet’s body temperature only when in use by your pet and remain slightly above ambient air temperature when not in use.
3. Why is the animal heating pad not as hot as a human heating pad?

Great Product for any pet
I recently visited a somewhat new friend. Her senior aged cat was laying in her covered “deck, patio, sunroom” where we were seated speaking beside him. It was fairly cool that day (maybe 45Ā° and raining) THEN, I noticed something that appeared to be a “plugged in cord” underneath him. It was this item right here!! Let me explain. This is honestly like having a big heating pad with features made for an animal. When I was reading reviews before this purchase, I was trying to find out if this would get too hot for my kitty cat but honestly wasn’t 100% sure. Let me explain that this is a PERFECT item for any type of animal you love and want to keep warm. It has a fluffy teddy bear type outward cover that can be removed and washed. The temperature settings even at the very highest setting never gets too hot. I honestly believe you could lay your face on it and not get burned. I love the idea if your pet might have pain, like maybe arthritis how fabulous this would feel on their joints. On the contrary, even saying that, I still believe it is still worth having if you need something like this. Whether your pet is outdoors in a pet “house” and you want to keep them warm or inside your own home, this is an AWESOME product! Kittens, puppies, or even elderly animals doesn’t matter. Its perfect for them. Lastly, the best feature may just be the cord. The cord itself is wrapped if you will in a circular metal coil all around the entire length of the cord. This way, if your baby tries to chew the cord in two, THEY WON’T BE ABLE TO š It is also a pretty decent size. Her cat was sound asleep a long time on theirs. My cat, I honestly don’t know his opinion. We have had ours approx. 2 weeks. I have seen him lay on it many times both while it was on and off. My plan is to keep trying it and see how he does with it. He is very spoiled so I feel certain if he realizes that this could be considered a “pampered pet product, ” he may just enjoy it a little more.

Works in Outside Cat Bed
So far it’s working on these local 30’s temps inside an igloo-style housing. It’s definitely warming the cat’s bed. Just have to experience snow-frozen days for a certainty. Can’t complain about construction although the air spout is very hard to extend to the condition demonstrated in the manual. It’s supposed to extend like those on rafts, etc. to allow air in when initially starting the pad. It’s very difficult to pull up. So, to avoid damage, I separated it from the bottom just enough to blow about 1 inch of air to raise it to the level indicated in the manual. Only time will tell.

I was hesitating between two brands (Petace and Pecute), so I bought both. They look exactly the same to me. So simply chose the one that is less expensive for you. I’ve use them for a few days and so far no problem, the cats use them. I will update if I can if something happens.
