Review for Outward Hound by Nina Ottosson Dog Twister Treat Puzzle Enrichment Toy
I recently got the Outward Hound Dog Twister Treat Puzzle, and it has quickly become one of my dog’s favorite toys! Designed as a Level 3 advanced puzzle, this toy provides an engaging challenge that keeps my pup entertained and mentally stimulated. The concept is simple yet effective: you hide treats in the compartments and let your dog figure out how to slide the pieces to uncover them. I love that it encourages problem-solving skills and helps prevent boredom, especially on days when outdoor playtime is limited. The quality of the toy is impressive; it’s sturdy and well-made, which is important for an enthusiastic chewer like my dog. Cleanup is easy too—just a quick wipe down after use, and it’s good to go for the next round of fun.Overall, I highly recommend the Outward Hound Dog Twister Treat Puzzle for any pet owner looking to enrich their dog’s playtime. It’s a fantastic way to keep them engaged, happy, and mentally sharp!

Safe, Travels well, No loose pieces, Entertaining
I have two 5-month-old puppies – who zoomed through level 2-3, and this one has entertained them, and it’s pretty indestructible. You do not need a lot of fancy colors; sturdy is best with dogs. Their noses do the ‘work’ and with puppies ‘helping’ them to use their paws, nose, etc and watching them get the treat..or stumble upon it, is great fun. Also, pieces do not fall out. Others have pieces fall out, which can be eaten or lost.

Good puzzle but not sturdy. Dog does enjoy it.
I have a 15 pound small dog with lots of energy. We have gotten many dog puzzles fromOutward hound (own at least 4 of them). The challenge slider: This one is less sturdy than the others. The second time my dog used it and she broke out the pieces and I had to put them all back in together. Not sure how it will hold up in the future. She’s done it now about four times and only broke out the pieces once. I will say my dog is not physically aggressive she did scratch at it to make the pieces move but I don’t feel that she is a very aggressive and her approach on these puzzles she’s not a chew her either. I will say that her nails weren’t groomed at the time so perhaps that led to her getting grip to be able to like rip them upwards and out. Overall I’ve been very happy with the outward hound puzzle products. I like how quick and easy this one was to load compared to some of the others. You can pull out the tray and fill all the treats at one time. Not sure I would buy again just because I have some questions on sturdiness. As far as engaging her, it definitely does the job.The brick:This one is a favorite and my dog has mastered it. She just did it 20 times. I will set the little door flops have separated several times and I’ve clicked them back in okay. Wondered if it will hold up in the future. But it was worth the money. The casino:This is another favorite. I find that I have to lock every other one still even after like 10 times. Or she gets too frustrated. I do like that option that I can slowly lock more and more of them I find if I like them all she just gives up after a while at this point. I would recommend. The twister:That’s why I’m struggling on how to teach my dog to twist the bones to get them to be recessed to get the drawers pulled out. She pulls the drawers out fine if I leave them in the unlocked position. Not sure how this one’s gonna end up working out. She loses interest because she can’t get the doors to open and I’m struggling again to teach her how to twist the bones around. It’s just not clicking. Would not buy again. The treat tumble small:I recommend this one. I do it when she kinda is driving me crazy and I’ll just put her food in it for the day and make her work a little for it.

    Great unless your dog chews
Well thought out to be a creative design. Does not stand up to even a moderate chewer. I wish material selection was better. Our dog after 2 uses had pulled out and damaged the center spin section. She is still able to use the outerpsh tiles.

Great puzzle for your active pup
This is the 3rd puzzle we have bought like this and our dog loves it. Actually our cat figured it out too, but it is more challenging for a cat.Our dog appears to have lots of fun sliding the slots open with her nails and eating the food. She does get a little too eager sometimes to move the slots along the track and probably would pop this open if we didn’t help.Easy to clean as the treat tray slides out.Overall lots of fun for your pup.Tip: First few times show them how to slide them. By the 3rd time they figured it out their own.

    Sturdy and fun for doggies
My dog has it all figured out now, but I like to load it up with tiny tidbits to keep him busy when we go out. It’s sturdy for a high-energy dog. I use 2 or 3 treats broken into small pieces. Be sure to check it afterwards to ensure it’s empty, so you don’t attract insects or other critters.

Got this when my pup was abt 7-8mths old. He figured it out quite fast and is still enjoying it one mth later. We put his lunch kibble in it so it’s more fun for him and he can’t gobble up his food too fast!

Świetna zabawka, choć dla mojego psa jest odrobinę za trudna. Plusem jest możliwość wyciągania elementów co pozwala zmniejszyć poziom trudności.
