my dog destroys everything
as I stated buddy my dog whose name for himself is Karnath the destroyer..lol he absolutely destroys toys in mins. I still buy them because your dog is only with you for so long and they love you the whole time. now I’ve bought Kong toys that lasted a couple of hours even the red ball maybe a day or so its in pieces I left a review on a squirrel tree toy 20 mins after opening with pics it was a mountain of fluff.. now this is day 9 the toy has lost the lil arms but it’s still intact the squeakers which he goes for relentlessly are still there all 3 the main body is almost indestructible so far I deff will buy again but I’m going to have to satisfy my dog’s cravings and get 1 he can shred lol this is a toy which if your dog kills toys will last awhile it was worth the 10 bucks and it’s still holding up to Karnath. I recommend buying this toy.

Very Disappointed 🙁
I’ve always purchased Outward Hound toys as well as small dog carriers, etc. They have always proven themselves to be superior to other toys. I always hold out for giving reviews, to give the product a while to prove itself, and it’s durability. As a professional dog trainer, I have reviewed MANY dog toys with my own dogs along with daycare dogs. For Christmas, I purchased this toy for my Giant Schnauzer pup. I gave him this toy in January as he already had a plethora of other toys, so I decided to save until he needed something fresh. To my surprise, I was completely dissatisfied with this toy. Although the small print states it’s not constructed of the fire hose material. My dog in just a few days completely destroyed this toy. The first squeaker came out the first day.. The second day, it was shredded, under supervision. I like to test toys with my own dog and pass on information to my clients as well as determining the toys that will stand up in my daycare. This was a MASSIVE failure.. Within 20 min on the second day, there was red material and threading spread through my living room and a squeaker was completely decimated. My Giant is admittedly an aggressive chewer, hence my reasons for purchasing this toy. The iron eyes and mouth were located floating in my dog’s beard. I am truly disappointed with the quality of this toy. I’ve purchased high-end to cheap toys which in the end is menial. What matters is how well the toy is constructed, and this toy didn’t even make the charts. I would love to be a toy tester for a company that wants to put their toys through thoroughly REAL LIFE testing. I am SOOOO disappointed with the manufacturing, materials, and longevity this toy has offered.. Outward Hounds.. you have earned a double thumbs down on this one…

Practical for medium size dogs
Great for medium/ heavy chewers. I have a 42 lbs pittie that loves to chew and this is one of the few toys that she doesn’t destroy in a day. She did get one of the squeakers out quickly but the other is still present 5 weeks later. The toy itself seems boring but it’s practical for a dog that doesn’t care that much if something is cute or not.All of that being said. My dog needs several options to chew on so if you only get one toy for them to play with, they may get through it faster.

AMAZING TOYWe recieved this toy in the evening of Day 1. It is currently the morning of day 8.4 of 5 stars, but 5 of 5 paws.WARNING IS NOT INDESTRUCTIBLE FOR FURRY VELOCIRAPTORS!!!(Minus 1 star, only because I can’t minus a half.)The toy did not realize how quickly it could be destroyed.Overall it is holding up well to my furry velociraptor, but it is not holding up nearly as well as one I bought a few years ago for my cuddly, soft chewing lab. Because labs are kinder and gentler in the chewing department than furry velociraptors.2 of the 3 squeekers have completely died. But the last little squeek is holding on like a champ that just won’t go down.Keep squeeking little guy!! My she-raptor loves you the most!Well worth every penny I spent on this toy. I would pay up to $15 for a toy that lasts as long as this one does. At $10 +/-, this is quite a great deal.Quality is a huge factor for us. Since my she-raptor is such a ‘do or die’ chewer and needs to eat at least 2 tennis balls just to wake up in the morning.So far, this firehose has outlasted 14 tennis balls.You will not regret this purchase if your pup is also a single minded chewer. And anything less than a furry velociraptor, and you will easily get a month out of this toy before it starts showing signs of abuse.

Not a chew toy.
My dog likes these fire hose type of toys but can destroy them fairly quickly. I like that there was no stuffing but within 1 hour all the squeakers were destroyed. Not much damage to the toy otherwise, the next day all the squeakers had been removed and the toy was in pieces. I was hoping that his would have a little bit more staying power. Maybe 2-3 layers thick, double or triple stitching. Even though it’s not advertised as a chew toy, I had hoped it would be a bit more durable for my frenchie. I don’t see how it would last even playing fetch, tug of war or any dog games High hopes, but disappointing. Update, now that’s it’s destroyed. There is stuffing that just makes a mess everywhere.

Great toy! Holds up and keeps dogs interested in busy from new teething puppy to older dogs!
We went on vacation with cousins who have an active 2 year old black lab. We have a 3 month old black lab. Both are very active. And love to chew. Our cousins had gotten this toy for their dog and it was sun-faded and well-chewed – but in absolutely great shape. The squeakers still work and the toy hasn’t fallen apart, shredded, or unraveled. The legs have gotten pulled off (dogs love tags), but the body of the toy is like firehouse, so it really holds up. As soon as we got home we had to buy one and I think we’ll buy a couple more. They’re not soft per se, but you really don’t want it to be in order to have along life. It’s a great toy for dogs of all ages and chew-preferences, and with the squeaker, it’s interactive and keeps their attention. And there doesn’t seem to be any stuffing to mold or fall out – just squaker and hose. We love this and will buy several – so we have one in the truck, in the car, and in the house – at least!

A good challenge for our Staffie cross. He loves a new toy, particularly a squeaky one but they usually only last about 5 minutes before they’re scattered in pieces across the floor. This one is much more durable and keeps him busy for quite a time. A good purchase.
