Great Senior Rabbit Food
I switched my rabbit to this brand over a year ago but didn’t start getting the “Senior Rabbit” variety until a few months ago when she officially turned 6 & honestly wish I would’ve sooner! I went on a deep dive into rabbit food awhile ago & through tons of ingredients list comparisons this is the best brand & variety by far. Also worth mentioning that this variety is the best out of all the Oxbox feed’s nutrition-wise. She loves it & after reading through the ingredients list I feel confident that this is one of the best options for my senior bun. I love that it has added supplements & higher percentages to make sure she’s able to maintain weight & overall health, my Mango did go through a grieving period & dropped some weight but has been able to bounce back wonderfully thanks partly to this food! With this food, a variety of veggies, an all you can eat buffet of hay & a herbal/floral food topper or foraging treat your bun will be living the good life😎

Staple Pellet in My Bunny’s Diet
I keep this on constant rotation and it’s been the go-to pellet for my buns for a long time. It’s reliable, consistent, and I trust Oxbow for always putting out high quality products. The 25 lb bag lasts a good while and stays fresh when sealed up between uses. My rabbits love it, and it gives me peace of mind knowing they’re getting something that’s made with their health in mind. Can’t see myself switching to anything else. So some people may complain that their bunnies don’t want to eat it, that’s probably because if they’re used to eating the equivalent of ‘junk food’ they won’t want to switch over to something healthy that probably doesn’t taste as good. I experienced this, you can either give them as much hay as they want and wait until they start picking at the pellets and learn to love them, or (they should always have fresh hay) give them less and less of their old food, so when they’re hungry they’ll eat the new food. Mixing it doesn’t tend to work as they can easily pick out the food they want.This is one of the best quality bunny foods out there, another high quality one being the adult version of this bunny food (it switches out the tastier alfalfa hay for timothy. It has high protein and high fibre (22%!) most other brands aren’t close to this percent of fibre, which is very important for keeping their sensitive gut moving.
