Very nice
Works great for my small Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix puppy. She fits well, is comfortable, and likes that she can see out of the sides. I like the amount of ventilation. I put it in the passenger seat and use the seatbelt to secure it for the ride. I like that I can do that to make her safer in the car. Well made and looks nice. I carry it instead of wearing it on my back, but I’m sure it would work well for that.

Great little bag. Perfect for my kitten, worry she may out grow it
It’s a well made bag. Would love for it to be a little sturdier without both sides zipped closed, but otherwise it’s holding up really well.I’ve gotten my kitten acclimated to it by making it her home when we’re not moving about. She now runs to it when she’s scared, or crawls in when she wants a nap.It’s not as comfortable to wear as one of my actual hiking backpacks, but this carries a cat so a big different ergonomics. Right now I have a large blanket inside to give my kitten the height she needs to see out. Once she’s bigger it won’t be as much of a problem, though it’s be nice if she could see out from a laying position as well.Haven’t taken it on long hikes yet because she’s still too small to properly fit her harness, and as such I only take her out when she has room to room but no where I hide or get hurt. Otherwise it’s her home when I’m travelling (which is a lot) or when I’m out for a short walk around the neighbourhood. So far, she’s been loving it and it’s been easy on my back.The belt strap could use some legit padding though. Right now it’s just a strap that digs into your skin. Hopefully when my kitten is bigger, I can get her one of the Lyra Cat bags that are better suited for actual hiking. This one is better for short trips but also being a suitable cat carrier for going from place to place, or to the vet.

Purrfect bag… if your kitty approves of course
Because my familiars are strictly-indoors-only cats, I wanted to give them the option of going outside safely to enjoy some sunshine and new scenery sometimes. However, because the risk of running away into traffic or picking up fleas wasn’t worth going the usual harness+leash route for us, we thought a backpack would be a good alternative. The PetAmi Deluxe carrier backpack has all the bells and whistles you could want – multiple pockets, two-way entry, safety strap, etc.Unfortunately, none of my 3 furry friends have wanted anything to do with the backpack while testing it indoors. I haven’t been able to go outside because otherwise they’d serenade the entire neighborhood with the song of their people (aka wild yowling as if being tortured).TEST SUBJECT 1) My largest is a big-boned house panther weighing at about 15 lbs so naturally he seemed cramped and uncomfortable on the mere 30 seconds we managed to coax him inside this carrier. The bottom panel immediately buckled under him and created a comically V-shaped base forcing him to slide to the middle. I may as well have put him in a typical Jansport backpack.TEST SUBJECT 2) Our similarly built tuxedo can sort of fit IF she feels like curling up into a loaf and all the planets align too.TEST SUBJECT 3) The smallest kitty in our clowder is a 12 lb calico and theoretically would fit just fine, but she still views this backpack as a trap to be avoided at all costs. 🙁 That said, despite the relentless clawing at the openings, the zippers reinforced with safety buckles outside did NOT budge. This was impressive to me as her middle name is Daggerpaw for a reason; she normally can destroy anything that has wronged her or simply existed in her personal space (ie. everywhere).RESULTS: In my opinion, the advertised weight capacity of 18 lbs is rather generous. This carrier might be more appropriate for kittens or slender, compact pets. You also want to consider that even if they do technically “fit” inside, you would want them to be able to comfortably adjust and not be packed tightly like sardines.If you’re not having good luck either, I recommend being patient and taking baby steps. Leave the bag out near their favorite napping spot to coax your kitty into exploring on their own terms. I would have liked to be able to leave both openings unzipped but the bag flops over without the support of at least one side connected to the back/front. Next, hide a treat or favorite toy inside as a reward. So far in the 6 months of owning this carrier, the furthest I’ve gotten in terms of voluntary participation is a half-in-half-out cat nap (see photo of stubborn tuxedo princess). Obviously, do not push your pet too far if they show signs of discomfort; a friend purchased a similar backpack and immediately took their cat out for a walk only to deal with a mess of vomit due to a nervous kitty in a new environment.Anyways, I can’t comment yet on long-term use, though in the few attempts of testing I did notice immediately what other reviewers pointed out about lower back discomfort. If I can ever convince my cats to use this backpack with me, I plan on sewing some extra padding for me.Moreover, if your heart is set on cute bonding time over hikes with your cat, I strongly suggest to start getting them used to the process when they are young. Our oldest two are over a decade old and have been very reluctant to try this compared to our 2-year-old cat, which I should have expected given the age difference but new pet owners may not have thought about it.tldr; Well constructed pet carrier backpack albeit slightly uncomfortable to carry for the human depending on pet size. Probably better suited for smaller animals (<12-ish lbs). Looks great as floor decor if your cat refuses to cooperate.

Perfect for my 4kg Moodle who is a little anxious. The carrier is very well constructed with excellent safety features. It is easy to wear in front as well as on your back. Light weight and comes with a very useful pop-up water bowl.

La mochila es buena y muy práctica pero debe considerarse para perros no mayores a 5 kg de peso. La mochila no cabe debajo del asiento por lo que literalmente tendrá que ir entre tus pies. Para un viaje corto no lo considero un problema pero para un viaje de muchas horas no lo recomiendo. Nuestra perrita es una chihuahua de 3 kg y la mochila nos funcionó perfecto.

This is my second purchase of this bag for my Adventure Cat, Cairo.It is incredibly easy to set up and store, it’s a brilliant size and is very comfortable to wear with back straps too.We travel around all the time on our hikes and Catventures and always rave about how cost affective and durable this bag is.Would definitely recommend!
