Customers say
Customers find the security camera’s picture quality excellent with very clear video, and appreciate its night vision capabilities and ease of setup. They consider it good value for money, with one customer noting its reasonable prices for motion detection. The functionality and sound quality receive mixed feedback – while some say it works well, others report it stops working altogether, and while the sound is generally good, some experience echo when speaking through the speaker. Connectivity issues are a significant concern, with customers reporting frequent disconnections and poor video connections.

Perfect Basic Pet Camera!
Little camera that has worked well for me. I got one over a year ago, and I’ve added another one now. The setup can’t be easier, and I love the ease of the app. It is straight forward and simple. It has been a great camera overall for the cost. The sound detection and motion detection work well, but can take a bit of trail and error to get the sensitivity to your needs. You can also adjust the notifications you get from it as well. The picture quality is great for the price you pay. I can’t review the additional features that you pay extra for as I have a tight budget, but even without those features its been the perfect pet cam for my little furry babies.
Just received my rugs and they’re exactly what I wanted. I love that material that they use now it stays exactly where you put it no slipping and it is also very adorable.!!! –
Love
I moved from my house to an apartment and was very nervous about how my dogs would handle the adjustment so I got these cameras. They were perfect. They’re easy to set up. The video is very good quality. I’m not sure if it helps me on my end, it makes me crazy to see them barking and there’s nothing I can do about it. lol but I’m glad I bought them and I’m very pleased with the quality

Good camera, bad adapters, good customer service.
1 year update:Cameras work well even in the dark. Clear picture and it’s nice to be able to rewatch video when we’re away for longer periods (need the paid plan for that). However, both of our cube adaptors died within under a year (one less than 6 months in). Petcube customer service was kind enough to reimburse the cost of a new adaptor which is appreciated, but I would recommend buying one of your own so you don’t end up losing video when you’re away (which is what happened to us)Original:Have been very happy with these cameras. Got the set of two which I recommend. Camera quality is good – even the night vision. Helps me check on my boys and make sure their auto feeder is working, and you can hear or talk to them which is nice. The camera also chimes when someone is actively viewing it, so my partner can hear when I check in (helpful to know you’re not being spied on). I believe this can be turned off but I find it helpful as the cats also hear it and perk up.

You get more than you pay for with Petcube.
I’ve purchased the two-pack in mid-July. Used the trial subscription when I traveled from MI to TN for several days. I cannot describe the peace of mind I had while I was away. To date, I’ve never experienced any connectivity issues that last more than .3 seconds (give or take a tenth, lol). There were a few times I thought my cats knocked one of the cams over but turns out the camera lens needed to be repositioned which I did remotely. I might buy more for myself or for gifting.Easy to set up, secure, the recording is perfect, zooming is great, motion detection is spot on and these cameras are well worth the money. The subscription is also a excellent value. The following day a diary of the previous day is available. Even better are the icon labels on the videos that inform you what is going on without watching like jumping, p00ping (yes, the camera knows), speaking and so much more.

So far, so good!
I’ve had this for about 2 months and really used it twice, but so far it does what I need it to do. I got this to look after my cat while I was away for a few days. I still had someone check up on her every day but it gave me piece of mind, which is what I needed! Installation is super easy with the app and the picture quality is great. Night vision works well too. The sound detector function works, but I can’t say it works well? It’s supposed to alert you when the camera detects noise, like if your dog barks. Sometimes it seems to alert me of the smallest noises and then it won’t alert me at all when my cat sitter stops by and she’s actually talking loudly. I did have an issue with it disconnecting from wifi while I was away and I had to have someone connect it for me since I could not do it while I was away. (Also good to know!) Makes sense you’d have to be on the same wifi to connect the camera. Lastly, the function to talk to your pet and hear your pet simultaneously does not work for me. There’s too much feedback happening in my phone to be able to listen and talk. I basically have to mute sound in order to talk, and then mute myself in order to hear. Not the best, but it’s not a deal breaker since my cat is a cat and doesn’t listen to commands anyway. Price is also good. Seemed like an affordable option with pretty good reviews.

Decent but received broken camera/customer service not great
Quality is nice. However I bought the 2 pack and 1 does not work at all. Angle of camera doesn’t code as much as I would hope to see from camera placement. Bummer you have to have a subscription to record/utilize features. Tried to talk about broken camera with customer service and they kept trying to tell me to use different plugs or adapters as if I had adapters laying around.

Super caméra, petite jolie et pratique. Très bonne qualité de l’image de jour comme de nuit, le son est aussi très bon, c’est un vrai plus de pouvoir parler à ses animaux à distance.

Update January 2024:Because the customer service is quite good, you don’t need to worry about getting a lemon. You will get your issue resolved if you give them some time.Old Review:First of all, “works with Amazon Alexa” is not true. Yes, you can download the Alexa skill for Petcube but that is more geared towards their interactive cameras, not this one.Second, the app is so focused on advertising their subscription tiers, vet advice and Petcube Care. It takes a couple of clicks to see your camera feed. Not a good user experience.Speaking of user experience, the night vision does not have a good threshold for automatically turning on. I can barely see my dog so I have to manually turn the night vision on.How do you turn night vision on? Why do it in 2 steps when you can do it in 6?! That’s probably what the makers were thinking.- Select the camera you want (you have to do this even if you have just one camera!)- Click the Landscape mode button- Hit Settings (Landscape and portrait mode settings are different!)- Click “Night vision”- Disable Auto shift- Click “Night vision Always On”Can we get a Night Vision toggle in the camera? We have the speaker and microphone toggle, it’s not that deep.Get this if you only need video, but the app experience is not good.

I ordered two cameras, didn’t realize that it could only operate on 2.4GHz wifi, so I contacted customer support for help. They walked me through the process and it was actually super easy. One camera had a broken start button but they were more than happy to send me a replacement. So far I’m happy with mine!

Petcube reached out to me and sent me a new Petcube free of charge. Thank you!!I purchased a Petcube in may of 2022. Today, the camera completely stopped working. I contacted Petcube support and they too agreed it was broken beyond repair by no doing of my own. Their resolution? A discount on a higher ticket item from Petcube because it was out of the 1 year warranty. I was told that this “just happens” to electronics sometimes. Be aware that this item may not function after 1 year of use and you’ll be left to purchase a new device.
