Solidly Built Artificial Grass for Dogs
I’m planning to create a dog run for my dogs to hang out when they’re outside. The backyard is covered by a large American Elm and with 4 dogs live grass is not an option I wanted to get a sample of artificial grass that I could use as a test spot. I went with the thicker weave. It arrived well packaged and a few days late which wasn’t a big deal since I wasn’t in a hurry. I was impressed with how thick the base is. It feels pretty solid and I feel it will hold up well. There are drain holes spaced out at regular intervals which I think will help with pee and rain. The weave of the grass feels good and it’s nice and thick. It’s a nice green color that doesn’t look weird. I didn’t notice any obnoxious smell but it’s outside so I’m not too worried even if it did. Overall I’m pretty happy with the product. I will more than likely use this when I’m ready to install in my backyard. I think it will be great for my dogs and reduce the amount of dirt and mud they bring in.

I wish I would have found these mats before ordering thinner ones. They are very thick, heavy duty and look great. My dogs love them and they don’t blow around in the wind outdoors.

** Update to reviewPetgrow 1.77 Inch Pile Height Ultrathick Artificial Grass Turf is melting in large spots. It now feels like when you touch plastic with a lighter. And, No, I do not live in the Sahara Desert or even Death Valley. I live in Lehi, Ut. I messaged the Co. through their app approx. 7-0 days ago and have have not received a response. So, now my rating would be a minus 10 stars as it pretty much worthless!It feels fabulous. The color is perfect. Nice dark green – looks very similar to grass. Comfortable to sit on. Dogs like it. Easy to clean.I have to add that after about 3-4 days the sitting in the direct sun, there is a 6-8 inch spot that is melting. *It is getting hard – feels like when a lighter touches something plastic. it’s wierd that it’s just that one spot. Overall, I really love this piece of artifical grass. I wouldn’t go with anything thinner. Ai have a 2nd piece – much thinner- less expensive- not worth anything but a dog to pee on honestly (the thinner piece)

Hi quality artificial turf. Would definitely order again. I just received an equivalent mat from another vendor/brand, and even though by description it should be the exact same quality – it is not. As such, I highly recommend going with Petgrow. The backing is heavy and the grass feels thick and lush.(Note: Even before realizing the quality difference to another brand I had already chosen to re-order this identical mat again from Petgrow, though it has been almost a month and I am still waiting for estimated shipment date.) But it is worth waiting for!
