I’ve tried several other products to get rid of my cats matted hair and nothing worked. This did! It’s amazing and easy to use. My cat doesn’t mind it at all.

Amazing
I just used this for the first time and wow! I have a long haired cat who acts semi feral hates grooming hates to be held she is very to herself. Last time I took her to the groomers not only did it cost alot but the job they did they missed alot, which I understand she was probably hard to trim. This cutter is safe which I love because I don’t like using scissors on cats. My cat Lunas mats are pretty bad right now, this cutter works amazing, just hold on the mat and position the cutter below the mat and gently pull it cuts the mat right off. Easy to hold also. I’m sure once the blade dulls I’ll have to throw it away and buy a new one, but for now I have actually found something that works!

Thought was a joke but thought would try it for my matted kitty. This oversized letter opener, lol, cut the mats without pulling and so easy to use.

Safe & Effective
This little tool is modest in price yet big on results. I can use this easy to hold tool to cut right through a matte pain-free and safely for my Havanese with little or no risk to my dog. Safer than scissors and very sharp. Only down side is its use may remove more hair/fur than desired, but if you have a moderate sized matte that you’d just like to cut through safely, this little tool does the trick. Not quite as effective on the pet’s legs, but great for mattes on the chest/neck/hips/shoulders. I love it.

I was hesitant to purchase since it basically looks like a mail opener. But it is extremely sharp and safely removes dog matts. This allows me to get closer than using traditional shears. Highly recommend.

Dangerous
This should get a “0.” I tried it once on my poor cat and she was so upset. Practically have to “saw” thru a little bit of fur and it still didn’t do any good! It’s junk and useless! I can understand how other reviewers says they hurt their cat and they needed stitches. I don’t plan to go that far and hurt her. It’s will either get returned or put in the trash where it belongs… This is by far, the worst review I have ever left!And now I see I can’t just drop off at a store that accepts Amazon returns! It need to be boxed and brought to UPS!! What a pain! Amazon you should say that on the product info, not just that returns accepted.

The best tool for de-matting
My cat is 18 and he doesn’t groom himself very well anymore, leading to mats. He has long fluffy hair, so they get bad quick. We’ve used scissors, combs, electric razors. Nothing even comes close to how quick and easy this is! With the other methods, it takes a lot of time, usually 2 people, and the fear of cutting his skin. With this, I cut all of his mats off in about 3 minutes with no help from anyone else. He yelled, because that’s just how he is, but it was so fast, he wasn’t mad for long. And the razor can’t cut him! It was far easier than I expected. I wish I had known these existed years ago. I could’ve saved my cat and myself a lot of stress.
